I agree that there is no comparison, as DA2 armor did not also have arms and leggings, varied components, or allow for Player craftsmanship. DAI armor can vary greatly depending upon each Player, both is effect and appearance.

And you're being disingenuous and inaccurate. The arms and leggings are functionally equivalent to the boots and gloves that I include in there, and the armors scale which is functionally equivalent to a reforgable schematic.

And now I'm actually done.

I hesitate to call any issue widespread based on forum posts. As I said, if something is *really* widespread, I expect to see it mentioned on news sites, like what happened with AC:Unity or Arkham Knight. To me, the fact that I haven't gives me reason to doubt how widespread it really is.

Well they won't. They just assume that just like any bugs as crap like that will eventually get fixed.

Are you implying that those multiple threads about the banter are lies? Because there's quite a few of those.
What happened in Arkham was quite extreme as in unplayable,as in they had to take it off steam, so ofc it's a big news. Just because it did not happen to you does not mean it's really not happening. On this thread alone, there's tommy and me, that I know of.

And in DAI, one can continue to craft new robes off the schematics, and alter appearance as desired. Still get far more use out of DAI armor than DA2; the latter tended to use the same ones each time.

Don't feed the troll Tom, it wouldn't matter if they charged $15 for one suit of armor that randomly disappeared from your character as you walked around. Bioware can do no wrong in Elhanon's mind.

You're absolutely right, it was expensive and lacking in content, and the qunari pack has serious issues that they didn't bother fixing before charging for it.

Yeah that's a silly standard to hold... plenty of major bugs in games don't get an official news release all to themselves. It happened to me too, one more reason I love Tw3's soundtrakc because all DAi ever gave me was silence and a RARE exchange with a companion. Very rare.

And again, bias and prejudice do not equate to facts; not even that great as crafting an opinion.

Just saw it as well, it was pretty cool how the dwarfing hating guard stopped the dwarf from progressing with the rest of the party, so he had to find an alternative route.

Things became a bit brighter for TW3 and the GOTY 2015 awards. XCOM 2 is apparently delayed until 2016:

DOS was an amazing experience. Very underrated. The combat was so much fun. DOSII looks very promising from what I've seen in Joe's video. Hopefully Larian succeeds.

I have the banter bug on my DAI too, made the game horribly boring to play in total silence, no banter no music and that is across SIX complete playthroughs! I had to go to YouTube to hear the banter because I play on PS4 so can't use the PC mod. So nice to read that Bioware have basically washed their hands of the bug, even more reason for me to wash my hands of their buggy, mmo style, button mashing, fetch quest overloaded so called rpg games in future. They have zero respect for the people who bought their game it very much seems a case of "we have your £60, you have bugs? Haha consider those a freebie and f*** off because we aren't going to be bothered to fix them!"

Also Ubisoft gave people free games after their monumental bug fest, Assassin's Creed Unity, Bioware don't even have the respect to pull the old gen copies from sale or to put a warning on the box that gamers won't be able to by expansions for their game, which is a disgusting way to treat people, not to mention dishonest.

DAI must have lived on the sun with how bright things were for them., guess it pays to be one of least mediocre games and possibly having EA buy a few awards for you. I am curious, if DAI hadn't won any GOTY awards, what would you be flaunting around?

That DAI was for the fans: no repeated designs, no Sky Ninjas, return of Tac-Cam, fewer cut-scenes, better graphics, Jumping, exploration, races, choice of gender, full VO choices, more dialogue choices, nine Companions, multiple romance stories, more areas, no cities, DA-MP, crafting arms & armors, cameos, The Keep for improved World States, Skyhold, and a Pause feature.

Many that tired of Kirkwall from DA2. Personally hope the Orlesian capitol is never illustrated, as it cannot live up to the grandeur described in the lore.

Those fools. The repetition and design was the problem, not the idea of the city itself.

The idea of BioWare putting the same amount of effort into a Val Royeaux map as CDPR did for Novigrad makes me tingly, but sadly the chances of that are nill.

It was more of a typical Bioware over reaction. People didn't like spending the whole game in one city, so Bioware get rids of cities all together.

Bioware are awful at doing cities though, so it's no big loss.

Personally dislike city adventures as a rule, so I do not miss them.

One of the things I liked hearing about TW3 is someone mentioned that cities were optional, I believe; unconfirmed.

Ah yes. If it ain't broke, try to fix it anyway. If it is broke, remove it altogether. :S

That...isn't true. You can't go through the main quest without stepping foot into Novigrad or Oxenfurt. The former is one of the central locations of an entire arc of the game.

Which is good because Novigrad is amazing.

Not true. A good segment of the game is spent in Novigrad, with an extra little bit in Oxenfurt.

Novigrad being one of the best cities I've seen in a game if I'm honest.

Thanks to both posts.

Again, prefer the lesser approach in DAI.

Tac-cam never left, the majority was disappointed by the lack of cutscenes, many people disliked the jumping because it caused annoyances when getting collectibles, races are an afterthought and have no real effect on the game, some believe that nine was too many and would prefer a smaller amount that actually played a part in the central plot, more areas filled with repetitious fetch-quests and collectibles. In the past games Bioware had hyped up Val Royeaux to be this grand city, with multiple districts to it and the center of Orlesian culture, imagine how many people got excited when BW announced we could visit it.Now look at what we got, a complete and utter disappointment on so many levels, talk about shooting yourself in the foot. DA-MP is debatable, some people love it and some people loathe it, the crafting was greatly appreciated, too bad they implemented RNG, so you have to rely on RNGesus just to get a decent set of arms and armour, not to mention that a vast majority of the armours in the game are just straight up ugly. The cameos were nice, shame that all of the interesting ones were relegated to the War table. The Keep is nice, but it also bugs out on people, so if you wanted to do a playthrough where the Dark Ritual didn't happen and it bugged out, tough luck son, you wouldn't know until you were hours into the game. Skyhold, the place where you forced to wear the god-awful PJs, the place that, no matter how much effort you put into it would always have a gigantic hole in the wall, Skyhold is just unrealized potential. The pause feature never left. I almost forgot, the got rid of tactics, this sounds less like a game for the fans or more like a game just for you.

Tac-Cam was not in DA2 if I recall correctly. The majority is a myth. Many like Jumping and falling being included. Races took another 13 months to add, and as one that has and enjoys the option, it is appreciated. Also believe nine Companions is too much, but do like options.

Areas have unique side content including hidden locations and loot. I do not play DA-MP, but many seem to enjoy it. The Player can re-tint armors as they wish, and select from an array of schematics. Hawke was not restricted to the War table, and could be re-made as desired.

And Pause, CC, and some other like features are not found in some others games at all; appreciate DAI including them. And while tactics are simplified, they do work, though possibly still too difficult for some Players to manage.

And still: GOTY 2014.
