And Angry Joe went with.... *don't care for either of them, though* Opinions being equal and all that.Yet the industry and the peoples award went to DAI; can live with that fact.

*gassppp* Elhanan! You watch Angry Joe?!?! But he swears like a lot.

Woot.

So just curious - is this a trailer for something in particular, or does it just advertise the song? And are we able to download other songs not on the soundtrack for free?

If you are curious, you can hear them here:

The added ones start at no. 32

No actually; simply understand that he selected DAI as his GOTY 2014. Also, he supposedly did not care for TW3. One picks up info here on the forums.

Must be a very different Joe then. Angry Joe gave TW3 10/10 - Legendary, <redacted> seal of approval etc.

Yep. I have a dear friend who subtitles his videos for him and I remember AJ's reviews for TW3, he highly praised it. Once again, someone who likes to throw the word "fact" around, doesn't have them for his own posts.

Do not recall the word 'supposedly' being factual. Must look into that....

For certain breed of trolls, "fact" is always "selective" without saying.

Guess that a fact is throwing some off here a bit due to a lack of recognition; understandable. It is evident in many posts.

And it would have taken two seconds on Google to find out that his "supposedly" statement was inaccurate. Yet, he still posted it and for what? In hopes of showing that someone dislikes TW3, therefore all his dislike toward it is validated.

Angry Joe is the only gamer on youtube I watch, but even if he said he hated TW3, it wouldn't change my thoughts one bit. TW3 is one of the best games I've ever played. And if AJ did hate it, at least he would have played it before coming to that conclusion.

Only reviewer I watch is Gopher, and he also enjoys TW3. However, as the LP also is unable to curtail the excessive use of ESRB content, I quit watching many episodes ago. While Gopher does not curse a lot, the game does.

One can look for bruises on the fruit before purchase....

To be fair, if he can handle Angry Joe, he's better than me when it comes to patience with 'game reviewers'. After his "last Nintendo" rant I stopped watching him. I let one video stop me from enjoying his content :/

Yeah but in this case, you're looking for minor bruises and passing up a far tastier fruit. TW3 is the best fruit of the season, DAI is your standard grocery store fare.

We know you hate it, but yet, you're still here... in a thread about the witcher.

So much assumption. This is a DA thread, and who would not love being around such loving fans....

As far as gaming reviewer on youtube, I like Elder-Geek and Noah Caldwell Gervais. Both provide honest and in depth review.

I like Joe mainly because I like hearing his opinions. I know a lot of people find him annoying, but he makes me laugh at times. I am not quite sure I watch him for reviews, per se. If I want to know if a game is good enough to play, I usually ask friends.

I actually kind of agree with him about Nintendo's practices--but that is another long topic.

So finally i have played the game and if i must do a comparsion with DAI...

World full of life:

Yes the witcher 3 have way more life overall to the world... Night and day change the way animals ,people behave... Also the artstyle is really nice...Beautiful but not sparkly disney shiny...Inquisition felt like plastic in many areas and is way more colorful on my taste...And also lacks consistency because i had the impression that unlike witcher 3 the ambient does not match the setting at all...Reading the codex i had a sort of alternate reality setting. Also the fetch quest in inquisition contributed to make the world feel plastic unlike Witcher 3 where you have any kind of quests around and i loved how different they were. And  i don't even mention the cities that in inquisition are jokes.

Consistency:

While the witcher 3 combat match perfectly the setting explaining when something new get added "The crossbow affair in the griffin hunting guest Vizimir give a crossbow to geralt and gerant comments how this is new for the witcher tradition" Dragon age inquisition don't have sense at all... Due to the war mage vs templar mage all around are feared as ever but still we have warriors capable to break the ground and make them erupt fire... Boomerang knife assassins that can hit hundred of times a ennemy not even bother to explaining why certain class that have nothing to do with magic add magical effects on their moves... It seems to me this thing was just done to make the game look cool in a desperate manner... Same how was happening to dragon age 2

Also while the witcher sequel always improved the setting in a very consistent manner... The difference from Dao to Inquisition is so huge that you are in the end wondering if the game is still in thedas...

In the end: I am loving witcher3 that is a product made with care and love. Sadly i can't say that for inquisition...

The only suggestion i can give to bioware is...

Take your time to make game...Put some extra effort on them and care about the setting...when you create a world keep it alive...

Its main competition its not Metal Gear Solid, or it could be. Its Fallout 4 though. Bethesda has won for their last 3 games, so they are huge favourites.

Oh yeah, duh!  Lol, don't know why that slipped my brain when I wrote that post.  Yeah, FO4 for sure is it's top competition.

Cities often add crowds; not my fave thing. I spent 25+ yrs on graveyard shift, and avoided them as much as possible. Remember having to take a day off of gameplay when I first encountered multiple quest givers in Neverewinter. Am better now, but still do not enjoy them. Prefer other environs.

I don't like crowds either.  Crowded noisy places are things I avoid like the plague.  But in games, I wanna see them in cities.

Ya oughta consider giving Jim Sterling a try.  If for nothing else than for his Jimquisition show that he does every single week.  Mind you his language makes Angry Joe seem like an animated disney movie, but I love watching him verbally thrash terrible developers and his views on the industry are always interesting to me.  Right now his crusade is against Konami.

TB is my favorite though, I watch the Co-Optional Podcast every week.  Brits are just cool people.  :P

He gave Witcher on consoles a 9. Which I feel was harsh.

True, but language and other ESRB content is not a bruise on the fruit, as you say.  That's just you preferring the skin of an apple to the skin of a peach.

Okay so I'm not that great at analogies, sue me.  :P

I find his review scores on the generous side most of the time.  But I still like watching them for the little skits that he does in them.  One of my favorites is the little mini cars he and Other Joe drove around in his GTA 5 review.  :P

Yes, another topic, but I agree about Nintendo's practices as well.
