Hmm, might be the first DAI DLC that I buy. Hopefully it wont disappoint.

Assumption again.

Skyrim is not my fave game; that is NWN1 followed by DAO, which of course are both Bioware titles.

Am going off info that Bethesda released at E3, so if it has bias, it their own.

Looking forward to SkyWind instead.

Okay, a game you're very fond of... Still, dude.

hey Witcher lovers, long time no see :D

so they're finally giving the inquisitor a personality with this new DLC it seems

I'll just wait for the thing to be released, analysed and dissected like I'm set to do with every BioWare game until the end of time. I'll probably won't buy it anyway even if it's good.

I still have to buy TW3 expansion

The trailer is enough to get me hyped, and i have faith in the team. Then again i am happy with DA:I in general, probably makes it abit easier to be psyched for this. If this DLC/EXPANSION or whatever is amazing, and the game with all the DLC is outstanding it could take down DA:O for me personally. Quite excited to see where it goes.

That could never, eeeeevvveerrr happen for me.  The main game of DA:O was better than DA:I, and DA:O's DLC was all fantastic as well.  And better priced at that.

While I agree that DAO is better than DAI, I much prefer the DLC played currently over Feastday Gifts from DAO.

Looks like they're ending it on a great note.

But apparently whilst we can have a little chat with Solas and see what's what,  his story won't be ending here.

I'm very glad it seems so. Solas is way too big of a character to just conclude in a story DLC.

... that's an insane comparison, feastday gifts were a couple of free items, and dlc like shale and awakening puts DAI to shame.

You're trying too hard dude. No, if you want to compare feastday gifts and stuff like the various free items like blood dragon armor, go ahead, but you'll be comparing it to the spoils of the quanri... which, incidentally can't be toned and the meshes don't quite fit female qunari characters, and instead of free it's $6.99.

The story dlc in DAo makes DAI's sotry dlc look like a joke. The item dlc in DAO makes DAI's look like a joke. DAI's dlc is really really bad, and will remain so unless this new pack is the best dlc ever released for a dragon age game.

I know you like to troll, but don't compare free item packs to dlc, that's total BS.

Me too. Sadly, none of the dlc has made me feel excited, but this one looks damn good.

Yeah, that was a really good trailer. I'm now redownloading the game just to play it. It'll be the only Inquisition DLC I'll spend money on.

So the DLC is dropping on 8th Sept. right? If so, why did they go for such an awkward and unfavourable release window, a week after MGSV and a week before Destiny's $40 expansion, do they not like money?

lol! Yeah. I plan to get the dlc but not until I finish Phantom pain. Honestly, i don't even think BW is trying to compete with any other game. They seem barely interested in letting people know the dlc exists.

Feastday Gifts & pranks were not free, if I recall correctly. And include slightly more than a couple of items, though cannot recall using more than a few.

http://dragonage.wik...Feastday_Pranks

As far as storied DLC, still prefer DAI DLC to Darkspawn Chronicles, Witch Hunt, Golems of Amgarrack, and Leliana's Song, though I still find all useful and mostly enjoyable. GoA has the least favorite Boss fight of all.

Cannot compare item packs, as I did not get them; stopped getting those in DA2 as I used few of the items. However, did see these robes used in a recent vid, and they seem appealing (used towards start of quest):

But this is only my opinion, dude....

Seriously?  Of all the great DLC in DA:O that's the one that you bring up to compare to DA:I's DLC?  Rather than 'Return to Ostagar', 'Warden's Keep', or 'Awakening'?  All great stuff and all of them are better than what DA:I has released thus far, and that wasn't all of the good ones that the game had.

And while I agree that the feastday gifts were a ridiculous thing to place a price tag on, as horrible as I thought they were, they solved a problem that the main game had.  That being the terrible approval system that it had.  Was it a cheap and lazy fix?  Yes, but it was a fix.

Honestly, every time I start to think you might not actually be a troll, you go and say something like that.

I purchased DAA at the store (first one in the city; they broke open the shipping box for me), so I do not consider it DLC.

And I mentioned above the other DLC from DAO that I consider lesser, but still useful. Now if you want me to mention those I like better, Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, and Return to Ostagar are still favorites. But again, this is only my opinion; others debate all this currently over here (may wish to read in reverse order):

http://forum.bioware...y-bioware-game/

But you did say all DAO DLC, so Feastday G&P seems to be fair territory....

I'm with Wolven_Soul and KBomb the trailer looks very pretty but then so did the trailer for Descent, so I will probably leave this dlc alone for a while and see what others think here.

As for the rest, love how many times they state the Golden Nug and the Wardrobe are free, LOL ... sorry but that is what just four free items now for single player.... better than nothing but doesn't take away from the fact they over charged for both Avaar and Qunari armours...

Doesn't the wardrobe and nug come with the dlc or? How much is this new dlc anyway? I probably won't get it yet as I still have not even finished TW3. Too much travelling around.

I passed on The Descent but this one I think I will buy. Specially when teehheegan is there :)

I believe it has been confirmed to be patch content and I believe twitter confirmed the DLC to be tagged 15 bucks.

Man - I'm just getting the chance to actually read through Mike Laidlaw's note, and it really says a lot between the lines.

Especially this:

Before I go into detail, let me just say thank you. This game has been a crazy ride, from the moment we decided to completely rebuild DA on the Frostbite engine to today, when so many of you have stunned us with your amazing fan creations, passion and, of course, feedback on what we did right and where we can improve should we do another.

Sigh.

From the article posted earlier:

"Even though this is a wrap-up to the Inquisition story, do we see any hints about the direction Dragon Age may take in future installments?"

"Absolutely. One of the things I’ve always tried to do with Dragon Age is make sure we have our eyes cast one or two games ahead. That we have a good awareness of the kinds of stories we could tell…Again, this is all presuming we do another Dragon Age; I’m certainly not confirming that today. But I always want there to be a fertile world. I want there to be interesting mysteries, and I like to explore those. But I think the other interesting side to Trespasser is that it provides a lot of answers. It provides some fascinating looks into elements of the Qunari and the elves."

I'm breaking my lurk-mode in this thread so I can just say WOW, that trailer. Those eluvians! That Solas! Even if this dlc is less than amazing, it'll be the only DAI DLC I get just because it seems to be the one that will lead into the next DA. Makes me want to start another playthrough after months of avoiding that very thing. There's even way better mods out to finally make my perfect Inquisitor~ Decisions, decisions...

Yeah the trailer looks pretty great, started a new she-elf to romance Solas, Hinterlands is a real drag though.

Hinterlands was a bad starting area, or they could have focused it abit more and cut about half the size. Know a few people that actually quit the game because of that zone, even though they could leave and come back later. So note for next game there.

His fans donated money so he can buy one, he was very open with that fact and even made a video about it when he first got it. Technically he still paid for it with his job...which is playing games on Twitch and doing Youtube reviews. It's just that when certain fans donated, they wanted the money to be used specifically to buy a Wii U and that's what he did.  I can't say I agree with Angry Joe 100% but I do feel that people focused far too much on how he acquired the system to discredit his argument.

As for his reviews. I like him and I usually think he's spot on with how I feel about certain games. I even liked his DAI review although I didn't like as much as him and would never give it such a high rating.

Nintendo has been making strides believe it or not and have made effort to actually allow content creators to broadcast their material. LP's were relatively new for Nintendo and they are very careful not to let people stream their content for their own reasons, whatever they were. When it became popular for content creators to stream games and actually get paid for it, there was never any inherent 'right' for said creators.

They changed their ways recently with the program that allowed their games to be streamed to Youtube but with a very restrictive policy which no one cares for. Yet they did, when they could have stuck their foot in the ground. They always, along with every other company had the right to say no to people streaming their content or creating ad revenue. Aside from the overly "aha" attitude of the below youtubers, they had a damn good reason to criticize Angry Joe. They announced months ago that they were creating this program, and aggressively enforce their rules. It was very arrogant for Angry Joe to turn around and demand that he be treated differently than every other creator.

Skip to 2:10 if you want to hear what the "God of War" creator had to say about Joe's behavior

I do not believe it is bad; simply would have made the point about returning to Haven a bit more direct. But then, Player control is a bonus, and one can remain if they wish.
