Eh...well that depends on what you might find interesting or haven't already heard of.

Its worth watching/listening to, in my opinion.

The subtitles get atrocious and hard to follow. Thanks anyway! I appreciate the effort of posting it. Same to you, Reighto.
Sure. Lore, main story, characters, dialogue, voice acting.
Those are all things that are matters of opinion. For my opinion, the story in Witcher was much better. It didn't feel rushed the way that DA:I's was. Not only that, but there were a lot of side stories that tied in with the main story.
Lore I will give you, DA has a richer lore, but you can't really give DA:I credit for that so much because most of that lore was present from past games.
In the characters category. I feel both games were equally strong. Both games have great characters.
Dialogue I would give DA:I a slight edge over, but only just, and part of that is because it throws so much more of it at you.
Voice acting again I believe that both games are pretty much equal.
I think for all the valid complaints one might have about DAI, the characterization and VO performances handily stomp all over TW3's... which aren't bad at all! Just not as good.
That said, two questions. First, is the playtime tracker in TW3 known to be wonky in general? Because I'm sitting at about 120 hours, but I'm only past Skellige, and I'm almost certain I have not played that long. Some PS4 players seem to have issues with it, but I don't know about PC and GOG galaxy.
Second - far more subjective - I'm thinking of just flat out putting the game on hold until the expanded romance dialogue for Triss comes out. Right now I'm
Well time certainly flies in TW3. I was sitting on 246 something hrs by the time I finished my first play through ( story only mode) and still had half of novigrad and 80% in Skellige to do. But I was impatient to do the main story in the end. I kind of regretted it now, because I did not even managed to gather allies for the battle of kaer morhen :/That said, two questions. For the VO, aside from Zoltan, Triss ( I saw movie cutscenes from TW1 and I liked her first VO better) and Dandelion, I liked them all. But Steve Valentine still stomps all of them
God, the original voice actor for Triss was so much better. Like, one of the only good things about the game. I thought Zoltan sounded like a derp though. I think he's a lot better in the latter two games. Dandelion is much better than the first game, but I don't know how his VA could possibly have been worse in TW1.
I guess it's possible that time is flying, but something seems wrong, because I really don't think I've pumped that much time into the game in less than a month. There are worse problems to have though, I guess.

I felt that Dragon Age: Inquisition did add some lore but I feel that they developed the lore more, new and pre-established, which I can appreciate as much as adding lore.

Spoiler, and I figure if I stop here for a moment, I'll maximize the amount of new content I can see. Have there been any hints elsewhere that it might be close? I know there was a big article on Kotaku about it last week.
Disagree about the voice acting, I would hold TW3s voice acting up against DA:I's any day of the week. Especially with Charles Dance involved. Wish his role had been bigger. Dude is fantastic, and of the two games, he might be the best actor, voice or otherwise.
The playtime thing is something that I have seen in my XB1 on some games, TW3 and DA:I included. If I turn off the console without exiting back to the main menu, the next time I turn it on it will load exactly where I left it off, but it counts all the time in between as time played.

It didn't really add all that much from what I recall. It didn't really feel like they developed existing lore all that much to me at all. Gonna have to give examples on that one.
OT.
That LadyInsanity interview REALLY maked me want to get that dlc. The talk about whether the companions will come to your call or not depended on your relationship with them, sounds totally marvelous. Well, I guess Vivi and Sera will just watch me with glee if I'm about to get skewered.
This is almost like collecting allies for Kaer Morhen. They can all come depending on the choices that you made.
Agreed. Also what is the most exciting to me is that its the first time they have done real post game content since BG2, yes you can argue that Awakening is post game, but not the same companions and a different story. This will be like Throne of Bhaal, closing the chapter of our character. Can't wait for that.

Uh Elves? Like big time. Everything about the Dalish changed, and Elves in general, also the reveal and expansion upon old elven gods. Qunari had alot of interesting hints, which we will see fully fleshed out in Trespasser. Probably more examples, but alot changed.

Oh god i totally forgot that you are deaf... I'm truly sorry! ![]()
Mike mentioned, that this indeed will be the last DLC for Inquistion. So once you start it there is no turning back. Companions will join you depending on your relationship with them. You won't be able to go back to Skyhold, therefore they placed stuff like the wardrobe or a crafting bench in the Winter Palace.
Bioware Edmonton worked on this DLC and they started right after Jaws of Hakkon. It is supposed to be richer in content than the first two DLC, yet the play length depends on whoever is playing. And......ah yes that was Teagan in the trailer! I think that was pretty much it but i probably forgot something. So yeah i hope i was of help.

So, um, if anyone's interested, Witcher 3 is on sale on GoG.
Also meaning, I may stop lurking on this thread and start participating in the near-ish future.
Not going to get into which is better because it's subjective, but I think that TW3 really implements it's lore a lot better than Inquisition does. We see first hand how Witchers are generally thought of, and treated by the populace. We see how non humans are regarded and treated by humans etc. Inquisition does a good job of letting us read about the lore, through letters and the codex, but if i'm playing a game I want to be able to experience that lore first hand, see it practically implemented within the world, not just read about it.
You were. Thank you so much.
So, we're not returning to Skyhold. Not sure how to feel about that. It'll be interesting to see where this dlc goes, as of now, I'm willing to follow it.
Well what's to return to? They never really delivered when it came to Skyhold. It would have been nice if they would have finally given us some practical improvements to the place, other than the garden, but...I certainly wasn't expecting it.

Alright, the elves I will give you, but the Qunari? The Qun doesn't change, that's sort of the point of it. Though we do learn a little bit more about them.

Also we get to see more about how Witchers are created. I really enjoyed that part of it.
I can't agree with DA:I's characterization being better than TW3's at all. I really just didn't care about anyone in the DA:I cast to the level I did with some of TW3's.
Not just in the main cast, the random side NPCs/questgivers/etc in TW3 were all leagues more interesting to me.
I just wish there was more danger in Inquisition when it comes to companions and other NPCs that have a notable impact. I never once feared for any companion throughout the game, especially after only losing a single named NPC in the biggest battle of the game. The worst thing that can happen to them is you pissing them off and having them leave - and you really have to work hard to make them mad enough to depart (especially if you do it to multiple companions).
TW3 made me unsure about a lot of people. Every time I thought someone had plot armor something crazy would happen to a member of the group and my uncertainty would return. People live and die based on the choices that you make or don't make, and I didn't even know just how many peoples' lives depended on you until I talked with friends who had characters die in their playthrough that survived in mine. You think you're making a small decision but it quickly snowballs, and I find it really awesome.
As for caring about characters, I cared for a lot of 'em in Origins, cared for enough of them in DA2, but cared very little for most in DAI. All personal opinion of course, but I found DAI's cast to be the weakest of the three. There were interesting things about the characters - such as Blackwall and Solas' secrets, Cassandra's backstory, etc - but the characters themselves weren't as interesting, in terms of personality and what-not.
I found the cast to be extremely strong in DAI; among them newcomers Cole and Josephine. It would be difficult to understand how one could explore Skyhold after arrival and not gain a fondness for the possessed lad in the large hat. And the character of the female ambassador was a delight to see along the way; a departure from the others as she bears a pen and the art of diplomacy rather than arms and armor.
Like and dislike are subjective, but overall I prefer the cast over those in DA2. Still like some of those such as Aveline and Varric, but some such as Carver and Fenris are somewhat easily replaced by Dorian, Solas, and Vivienne.
