Don't know what this means either, but it sounds like it could lead to some sadness. I am torn between wanting to avoid it and wanting to see it.
It is a small scene but straight to the heart.

Btw, Shani is awesome. Never particulary liked her in Witcher 1, but in Witcher 3 I wished she would have been a a fully viable romance option like Triss and Yen. Tbh I like her much more than Yen and find her more interesting than Triss.
The writing is excellent as always. The two main characters are fascinating.
Very satisified with the dlc so far (+- 5 hours)

That was indeed very sad and it came out of nowhere. I absolutely love all the references to the rest of the game and to Witcher 1 and 2. This whole dlc seems to be more addressed to the "hardcore fans" (the ones who played witcher 1 especially), while the base game felt rather standalone.

Spoiler. That was one of the best quest I ever played.

Indeed. I would rank it as my third favourite quest in the game after the Battle of Kaer Morhen and the Ladies of the Wood.

I hope bioware will write something as light-hearted as that. Mark of the Assassins was close-ish tho. I enjoyed the party.
I went through Hearts of Stone in two looong afternoons of about six to seven hours each. It's such a great bang for the buck. It had a bit of everything - funny, spooky, thoughtful, all with some well placed sprinkles of action. Like the main game, I couldn't help but feel how much effort was put into it, and I thoroughly admired its writing. Seeing Shani again was the icing on the cake.
The new craftsman and sidequest were also very welcome additions, but they kinda pale next to Hearts of Stone's main story line.
To think that this is the smaller of the two expansions...

Ooh, i like what you are saying. Stuff like that might make me want to buy it eventually. One of my biggest gripes with TW3 is how little it connected with the two earlier games. I didn't expect a huge save import or anything like that, just wanted them to be more tied into the overall story arc of 3.

I never got around to buying any of the new upgrades - despite spending all the money to fully upgrade the runesmith. I just always had to see the next story segment instead of messing around with my gear. ![]()
In the end I used the "acquired tolerance" perk to get my poison tolerance to somewhere in the higher 200s, gulped down three or four concoctions and went in as some kind of alchemical super mutant.

Yes can't wait for Toussaint now! CDPR has done wonders with Shani and all original characters (man of glass is such a badass) in this "teasing" expansion, can't image what they would achieve with proper new area with awesome characters like Fringilla and possible Regis ' "friend".

Great expansion though! Maybe I'll write some more coherent thoughts when I'm not on my phone
I just found those two little things too good to be trusted.

I have to tip my hat to CDPR again, HOS really sets the new standard for pay expansion, as TW 3 does for RPGs.
