Ah, okay. Here I thought they just added the multiplayer mid series. My bad.

They did it for marketing buzz. In the same way they pushed "16 Free DLCs" at a time when people were thinking potentially far more substantive content. CDPR is very good at playing on gamers attitudes.
They have far more substantive content. Actually, far more than what every single company has been dishing out these days. But that would cost and takes time to make. So they keep people interested by releasing bags of free goodies till they are ready with "meatier expansion".
Seriously, you make it sound like they drowned your goldfish and sold it back to you.
Are you guys so jaded that there's no room for genuine gratitude anymore? I mean I've read how they ran out of money in TW2 and would have gone down had people not been buying.
Also if they are this super crafty villain people wants to paint them. They should have sold their expansion or dlc in line with the going cost which is $15 for HoS and $25 for Blood and Wine. But no, they kept it in line with their production cost.

I had a love/hate relationship with that place to start with. Love because it's so well done and hate cuz I hate creepy houses in general. Add in that boss... urgh.Seriously....
Spoiler
At least you got your companions in DAI to hide behind, ( I roleplay that I'm hiding under Dorian's skirt, who's probably more of a scardy cat that I am) but in TW3 it's you "just" you against the creeps.

Cyberpunk is a tabletop game they are turning into an PC RPG franchise. Can probably expect the first game in 2018/2019.
It's pretty old school... I remember seeing it around, but never played it. I like that they kept the 80's style logo.
I'm down with giving anything from the genre a chance.

It is such an amazing nquest. Full of the feels. I love the creep factor and the "Greatest fear was eek..
So, tell me.....
This expansion is so fantastic. Only, I missed the chance to get the Viper armor, as I tried to rush through that mission so I could get my course work done and play a chapter of Until Dawn. My bad, completely.

Never heard much about it, but seems interesting, both the Tabletop and the upcoming CDRP game. I am looking forward to playing a more blank slate character in a CDRP game. Not that i don't like Geralt, i just prefer to create my own characters and have choices on how it goes down. Its kind of the best thing about RPG's.

Yeah, that's the only thing that doesn't make me a "huge" fan of Witcher. Although I haven't played 3 yet (and yet I'm perusing this thread).

Yah I took it. And quite happy with the decision
Oh god I agree with you on Shianni. But if you chose not to walk with her then that will not happen apparently.

I'm a bit confused here. Elhanan dug out of the internet some very old articles about CDPR thinking about adding multiplayer elements into The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk and he did that because....?
At this point we all know that TW3 has no multiplayer (wouldn't have minded MP Gwent though). In fact, CDPR has quite recently talked about how people apparently still want single player experiences and are amazed by the success of the game.
http://www.pcgamer.c...t-bigger-games/
As it is TW3 has been so successful (and not only financially) to the company that they may well rethink about adding multiplayer to Cyberpunk. I'm not saying it wont have it mind you, but it has already been proven that MP isn't necessary anymore to have a profitable game. And that goes for DRM as well.

Seem to recall posting my response after that article, or one using the same quote. But for an even more updated look into CDPR's mindset (ie; 10.08.15):

Again, Cyberpunk might still get MP. Hell, even TW3 might get a spin-off MP gwent game, a ton of people have been asking for that. But since you are speaking of the mindset of the corporation I'd say that it's now even more likely to focus on single player experiences than before.

Hope that is the case, as well as the possibility for more PC focused games. But a single player game with optional MP content is fine by me, even if I cannot play it.

The MP content sliding into the "not so optional" category is what concerns me, though. And there's precedent for that concern, at least with Bioware.
I guess the one good thing about DAI's short DLC cycle is that they didn't get to pull that crap any further than those dragon decorations.

?
Short DLC cycle has been about a year; kinda along the lines of the other game mentioned in this thread.
My concerns of MP and consoles have more to do with lessening the attention given to the PC. Would be nice to see a game or two appear with the PC as the main priority. Nothing wrong with having MP or consoles; simply prefer to have it separated from my own experience as much as it is possible.

I guess you're right. It seems shorter than most, but I had my mental dates for ME2 arrival and ME3 Citadel wrong.
Otherwise, this appears to be exactly what I'm saying. I would like my SP content contained in the SP game, no garbage apps, no inane browser game, and most importantly, no MP participation required.

Then I do not understand how DA-MP is creating problems. It is certainly separate from the Single Player game, though it may have had an effect on GUI, balance, etc.

I acknowledged that this was the case in an earlier post. DAI's MP doesn't have much influence on the SP, although with the Dragon decorations it has more than it should.
I'm speaking to the phenomenon generally. It created major problems in ME3 until they fixed it (months later, I might add).

Missed that as I played ME3 well after release. However, I had no problems with original ending either, if that was the effect.

Changing the subject - can anyone recommend some attractive and effective late game non-witcher gear? The only set I really like is the wolven set, and I've been wearing it for what feels like my entire life at this point. Wouldn't mind switching some stuff up, but considering that the DLC enemies are giving me a run for my money, I don't want to downgrade that much.

Not everything; still have to bench Vega, the Iron Bull, and Blackwall for the most part. But at least I can still play the majority of the games.
