Even I wouldn't judge DAI from the side. It's definitely pretty. And at a glance looks like it could be a decent action RPG. It's when I delve into it that the visual charm passes, and the combat turns out to be simplistic both on it's action or tactical level. I played Nightmare, and it's no different. It's just more tedious. I wouldn't know the true feel of it unless I gave it a chance. Then as a story, I get annoyed because I had more expectations on what it was following up on (DA2/Masked Empire/Asunder). I love this world, and gave it more than a chance. I'd consider myself a big fan. Not someone who just stood off on the side, looking over people's shoulders., But now it's back to the most rudimentary high fantasy set up. Better suited for another crowd than me.

 

So then, I simply sustained myself on the characters. I like most of them tbh. I won't go into the subject though. Too off-topic.

Not really Elhanan. Watching a pal play the first 15 hours of Inquisition - for example - wouldn't make me an authority on how great that particular game looks, right? Such is the case with you and TW3 i'm afraid.

In context, a general comparison is all that is required. As for gameplay, will likely never know....

I definitely preferred the graphics of TW3 to DA:I, even after the E3 downgrade. I still think they top notch. And who know, we might get the E3 graphics once REDkit is released. I do hope this happens once B&W is out.

When I finally learn to take scs in Witcher 3 ( print screen don't work) I will post some taken on my rig. I gotta say, it's damned close to pre-downgrade and some parts better, after scouring the internet on max settings. So personally, that downgrade is almost nil to me. I'm not much of a graphics ****** anyway because for me DAO still looks good when a lot here claims it did not age well.

And I would like to swap someone with Xbone for at least 3 weeks so I can play Halo

I never thought DAO looked well, even when it came out (especially when it came to faces). But that wasn't ever it's strength anyways.

OK then.. those screens look great and comparable to whatever prerelease stuff I saw above... to my naked eye anyways.

 

That comparison shot made it look like everything was turned down. It didn't even have a texture for clouds or trees. Let alone all the shading.

I agree that it's possible, and I can conceive of ways in which a no frills multiplayer mode could have been great fun in DA.

 

I just think it's incredibly unlikely. They're too tempting to pass up. I would love to be surprised though.

Honestly I wouldn't even really mind that much multiplayer in Cyberpunk. 

 

What I heavily dislike is when an established franchise like Mass Effect and Dragon Age are loved and played for their single player experience, only for a multiplayer to be later shoved in. It doesn't help that Inquisition's multiplayer was pretty terrible.

 

If Bioware had decided to make a new franchise specifically for multiplayer purposes, then I wouldn't mind so much (though I personally wouldn't be very interested).

 

I don't mind putting MP into an established franchise as long as it fits.  It fit with ME.  I wasn't expecting it to, but it really did.  It doesn't fit in DA, which showed with how terrible it was.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing a MMO version of ME, something along the lines of Destiny...only you know....good.

Well, an another thing from CDPR that Bioware should adapt to. The bonus digital stuff you get for buying Hearts of Stone were not for pre-orders only, or for those buying the dlc independently, but for all who bought the content, No matter when or how, if you bought it you got it. Personally I hate retailer/pre-order/edition exclusive content with a passion. I shouldn't need a spreadsheet for deciding how and from where to buy my games if I want to get everything. It's a shame that they couldn't do that with physical goods as well though, but that falls on Microsoft I guess. The Xbox version of the game HAD TO come with extra content for the buyers on that platform. That's what paid the advertising bills.

 

Oh my yes.  I am so sick and tired of pre-order bonuses, especially when different outlets give you different bonuses.  It's sickening.  And EA is one of the worst culprits in this.  

 

They give pretty crappy deluxe editions to.  For instance with the new Battlefront game the deluxe edition offers five bonuses, but three of those things are stuff that you can get in the game with just a little bit of effort.  You just get instant access for those three things if you buy the deluxe.

No, no you are not being to harsh.  Not at all.  Not in my opinion anyway.  He brings it all onto himself.  Believe me if I had not started putting him on ignore, I would have likely said something by this point that would have gotten me banned.

Hilariously, my go to example of a cheap, fun MP diversion is the first CoD Black Ops game. There was an Easter egg wherein you could open up a retro arcade and play some old games, including CoD zombies version of Smash TV. And it was simple, great fun.

When I think of something decent for DA, I think in those terms. I thought a simple little cooperative Gauntlet homage would have been a fun little thing to hop into, for example. Or something along the lines of a simplified Diablo. Doesn't need to be fleshed out or super in depth, just needs to be fun and optional.

As things stand, I'm super excited for Cyberpunk, but if playing the hypothetical co-op confers any sort of advantages unavailable in the solo game, it would knock it down to a solid maybe for me. Again though, I would hope they know better.
