Yennefer did not reply. She could barely hold Geralt's head in both of her hands, while repeating a spell. In her hands, the witcher's cheeks and forehead crackled with blue sparks.
Triss know how much energy was required for that spell. She also knew that the spell would not help. She was even more confident that the spell would prove powerless for someone who was sterile. It was too late. The spell only exhausted Yennefer. Triss was surprised that the black-haired sorceress was able to withstand for so long.
Then she ceased to be surprised because Yennefer stopped in the middle of the magic formula and fell on the pavement next to the witcher.

...

Geralt opened his eyes irritated by the play of light and shadow through his closed eyelids. He saw above him leaves, a kaleidoscope of leaves glistening in the sun. He also saw branches full of apples.
He felt the delicate touch of fingers on his temple and his cheek. Fingers he knew. He loved her so much that it hurt. His stomach, chest and ribs aches, and a corset of tight bandages convinced him completely that the pitchfork in the city of Rivia had not been a nightmare.
'Lay quietly, my love,' said Yennefer. 'Lay quietly. Do not move.'
'Where are we, Yen?'
'Does it matter? We are together. you and me.'
The birds sang. It smelled of herbs, rosemary flowers and apples.
'Where is Ciri?'
'She is gone.'
She shifted and gently freed her arm from under his head, and lay beside him on the grass so that she could look into his eyes. She looked eagerly, as if she would memorise his image, as if to save it for the future, for all eternity. He also looked at her as nostalgia gripped his throat.
'We were in a boat with Ciri,' Geralt recalled. 'On a lake. the on a river with a strong current. Among the fog.'
He fingers found his hand and squeezed hard.
'Lay still, my love. Lay still. I'm with you. It does not matter what happened, it does not matter where we were. Now I'm with you. I will never leave you. Never.'
'I love you, Yen.'
'I know.'
'Nevertheless,' he sighed. 'I'd like to know where we are.'
'Me too,' Yennefer said, quietly, after a while.

You sound upset. Every time Triss is mentioned, you seem upset and begin reciting canon.

Panzer you just seem so obsessed with it, which is fine i guess. I just never cared that much for a fictional character, not enough to quote passages from books or lines from a movie or game. To teach their own though.

Nope, Shani knows excatly what she wants and what Geralt wants, hence they parted away. What a nice & mature woman.

This makes me reminisce the golden age of Mass Effect's romance board.

Oh the good old days.

I find it very amusing that people have to **** on the books nowadays to make their own decisions "better". It's like half of the fan base now doesn't want to acknowledge the sheer existence of the books anymore. CDPR really does hell of a job.

P.S. CDPR does reflect events in the books especially in TW3. They are amazing in keeping consistency with the book series.

Not in the third game. nor am I a fan of what they did to Triss.

I think they handled Triss beautifully, there is a reason she is my waifu. :P

@Tommy-- Where is that petition? I'll sign it--he was an amazing character on all levels.

They trivialized her and even Yen to a lesser degree. Before, she was relevant to the most important goals Geralt had in front of him. In TW3 she's mostly waifu material. The writers, probably different ones now, didn't understand what made her an interesting character. And with Yen, they simply brought her in the story too late.

I don't think anyone is crapping on the books. I know that I certainly am not.

Never crapped on the books at all. Just tired of people arguing over semantics all the time. The people that have read the books has to accept that some players have not and probably never will. And the people that have not read the books has to accept that the connection between book and games means something to said readers. After all this discussion has been beaten to death several times in this thread.

Not sure i have anything else to add to this discussion. 7 days left untill Fallout 4 arrives and i can quit the Internet, Wuhu!

QFT, Yen should be introduced in TW1, Ciri could be brought in TW2.

I've not read the books (Definitely interested in doing so at some point!), but have it makes sense they're canon and games aren't especially given the variety of endings in the book. If the games didn't have those decisions to make, they wouldn't be much of  an RPG series.

I've got two completions - one with Yenna, one with Triss.

Same here. I have one of each. I definitely enjoyed the Yen one a lot more than I thought I would and I really liked the family dynamics of it. I just prefer Triss.

8 days until you return to the internet to commiserate with all the other players who had their game deleted by some obscure bug!

(I'm fully aboard the hype train as well.)

Nah i am keeping myself away from the game untill it releases. So people thought it was bad, huh? Well not unexpected, alot of people will complain about Fallout 4, like people did Skyrim and any other Bethesda game. Also there will be a day 1 patch like with every other game now, probably contains alot of fixes.

It's all in good fun. God knows I've been the touchy OG super fan in other situations.
Real talk though, I want to romance Olgierd.

Fork Olgierd, I'd go for Vlodimir of only he's alive.

Fair enough. I think the character of his voice is an acquired taste, but he isn't a bad singer necessarily.. he carries a tune at least.

On the other hand, TW3 got a dude I know who doesn't read books to buy and read a book. If a million new readers are discovering and enjoying his original work thanks to CDPR, I can't see what there is to be that upset about. There are countless talented and wonderful creators who fly under the radar at all times, and I would hope it's clear that that's not an indictment of their quality. Even GRRM was reasonably niche until HBO turned Game of Thrones into a big screaming deal, and he seems to be pretty sanguine about that whole situation.

Plus, if Sapkowski wanted to write for the games, ten bucks says CDPR would have agreed to it in a flash.

Yeah, CDPR did great things for TW, I would be pretty grateful if I was the original writer, sting or no sting.

I hope someday someone takes the Mistborn books and makes a game out of them.  I would so freaking love to bounce around a game world as a Mistborn.

Well people are complaining about the character animation and that the character itself.

As for Skyrim.... I agree with the complains (:P because I am one of them). I feel that tis streamlined too much since Daggerfall and Morrowind. Ah the randomly generated maze in Daggerfall (I can understand why this feature will not return for the foreseeable future due to graphics) and the world of Morrowind.

Patches from Bethesda?  :D Nah, there are bugs in Morrowind and Skyrim that were never fixed even today. We must accept the fact that we can only rely on mods to fix them

Streamlining is not a bad thing though. Even in an RPG. Makes more time for actually playing the game and not looking at stats. In an isometric tactical RPG i would agree to streamlining beeing a negative thing. In a 3rd person/1st person Action-Rpg the more you have time to immerse yourself in the world, the better. Bugfixing has been going on since E3. It seems like they are taking it more seriously this time around. So i trust, i like to trust people.
