Is there a good source of information for the next dlc? Is the next the last 1 ? Any other smaller dlc?

It is called Blood and Wine, i think. It will add a new zone to explore as far as i know and it will be released early next year. So February or March, maybe? Developers has said it will have about 20 hours of content and HS was supposed to have 10. That is all i know really.

Sarcastic as in Sarcastic Yes or Sarcastic No... Yip. That lousy option got me alright....

Compared to TW3 or even New Vegas, this lousy option is really laughable.

To be fair they use a different dialogue system. .... ... but

Fallout 4 however set a new bar in the "worst ever most frustrating dialogue system" department and it is a freaking objective fact. Yes, I have played 61 hours of Fallout 4 and I am this frustrated with it. In my reality, anyone who dares to defend this piece of utter rubbish system is a fanboy.

They combined ME style dialogue system with DAI's free camera dialogue system and they managed to take the worst of it combined it into an utter piece of !#@#$@@@!.

The stupid dialogue option is no only very limited, its options are worded even more "sensible" than the infamous accidentally romancing Anders dialogue option in DA2 - yeah! I cant imagine I can live long enough to see someone beat that but Bethesda sure raised the bar or pathetically worded dialogue options to new heights.

Then there is the freaking pathetic free camera option that is implemented in the most freaking abysmal way conceivable by humans. You have to actually be at certain specific distance when talking to companions. Close enough and you can chat with them, if they move, you get the issue command prompt.

Problem is, those NPC are not responsive, they still move or repeat the same lame lousy voice acted "I will stop complaining when there is nothing to complain" line for the 50th trillion time ignoring my click when I just want to bring up the trade dialogue option to give her a freaking gun!

Also when I want to issue a "Move to" command, the stupid companion often move next to me and get me stuck in a dialogue option!!!

I can see the potential of this system and this system could be nice IF it was developed and tested by a studio that cares and pay attention to details.

p/s: Oh yeah, and I was so frustrated by an NPC, I shot her - entire settlement turned against me. I freaking killed her and .... she freaking came back to life and continue to attack me. I slaughter entire towns in Morrowind and they never come back to life! Really!?

Shame that most of the dialogue consists of, Yes, No, Sarcastic(which means yes most of the time) and Ask a question(which also sometimes mean yes). I really miss using the various skills to influence dialogue, like using strength for intimidation or perception when discussing explosives.

Then i am a fanboy, but i do have my issues with it. I think the conversation pacing is excellent and everything that is a meaty sidequest or the mainquest utilizes the system very well, but minor sidequests and misc quests boils down to very simple and boring dialogue. It definately needs to be fine tuned and added alot more to it for the years to come, maybe we'll get some much needed improvements on it in DLC/Expansion.

Over to the command issuing and such, i don't have any problems with it at all, works fine. Also it is the firs time they tried something different with dialogue, and i am willing to give them another chance. Took Bioware a few tries, or rather they had it right in Mass Effect and then ruined it in some other games and brought it back in DA:I.

No thank you. Not that i wanna get into that discussion, but they never saved Fallout. Also Obsidian has way to many projects and have no interest in working with a huge publisher again, that is why they went to Kickstarter in the first place. And not to nitpick, but Bethesda saved Fallout. The IP was there, but no one had the money to utilize it and do anything with it.

Alls I can say is that I'm at 26 hours played, Dog is the only companion I've recruited, and I have built a 5 story house on top of the Red Rocket.

Shaun who?

Only reason I don't have a dog is because before I got my backyard set up for a dog, I got a cat.  And that cat doesn't get along with other animals period.  Otherwise he's a really good pet though, and so I don't mind waiting to get a dog.

I am horribly allergic to cats. My lips swell up around five times the normal size. Needless to say that I dislike them. My dog doesn't shed-no dander, no allergy. Not hard to see which I prefer!

Yeah I tried the same thing. You can't kill companions but I do think settlers can be killed after several attempts. However, I think it's right that everyone turn on you.  You just tried to kill someone in what is supposed to be a safe zone.

I admit the dialogue system needs work, The options are too vague, but the voice actor is freaking awesome.  I picked the sarcastic option when the BoS doc asked me if I've ever had sex with a non human, and it was every bit as awesome as I hoped it would be.

This 1000000000000000000000x I was so disappointed not to have those two in DAI.

Only if they revamp the mabari design for the next game. I thought the DAI version was a nightmare made real. bc9ad8b596.jpg

Yay for cats. I like dogs too but love cats. They are finicky creatures, though.

To be honest, I'm not bothered by lack of a mabari pet or Sandal. It's annoying that DA2 indicated that Sandal and Bodahn would be in Celene's court, true, and Sandal's prophecy seems like he would have a role again.

But I hope that their absence in DAI indicates that Bio knows enough to restrain themselves from adding fan favorites in just because they're fan favorites, and not because they are relevant to the story/game. They do too much of cameos which make the world feel small as it is. TBH I didn't think Hawke needed a mabari, though I liked that it didn't take up a companion slot.

I think the Fallout storyline had a lot of potential to be emotional but failed drastically, but it is really surprising considering it's bethesda. The plot twist I could see coming from a mile away.

Spoiler

The best part of the game was when Codsworth had a breakdown, "HOW DO YOU POLISH RUST!?"  I love that sexy robot bastard.

The game is still good, but probably my least favourite bethesda game.

There's a respec potion sold for 1000 crowns. Various NPCs sell it, including most alchemy vendors, easy enough to find. Keira Metz does, for one.

No worries. It's called the potion of clearance. It respawns, so unlimited quantity.

Is he high? I took some Psycho on my character earlier, and when i use standard dialogue options he screams it instead! Nice little touch though.

No.. actually if you listen to it clearly. I think Bethesda used voices from other assets. The voice is like someone who is shouting to a person in a distance or is under interrogation. My guess is they forgot to record this conversation during development  :D

NPCs especially minor ones also have inconsistent voices - option 1 a voice, option 2 another voice but never so out of place.

That is why I went around speaking to other characters to make sure he is not high or anything. Side this character never too chems - not even a single dose so he cant be high.

** or they might have a "high" voice for the character when they are high and this is just another bug

That is awesome! I have to go there on my character now and see how it plays out.
