Yeah don't leave a core in your power armors, they will hijack that thing!

I can't even imagine what T3ndo would come up with for FO4, but the prospect excites me. Maybe I'll be able to really play the game in like 2018.
On the other hand, hopefully PerMa will settle down now.

Unfortunately not even T3ndo can fix the dialogue system, so replaying the game will be kind of difficult, can't wait for an alternate start mod though, F you Shaun.
I've been waiting to try Perma for over a year now, between the long mod setup and my game always bugging out, I haven't been able to experience modded Skyrim since I beat Dawnguard on release week. Hopefully Perma will be completed next year as I really want to use it.

Last I checked, he hasn't updated it in a while, whether that means he regards it as fairly stable or has just been doing other things I don't know. I will say it was actually pretty solid when I was playing it, which was over the spring and summer, but shortly thereafter I dove into TW series and I've been distracted from Skyrim since then. If you want to further change up the vanilla stuff, it works well with an assortment of other overhauls by another modder (enaisaion, I think?) - magic, stones, shouts, etc. That's basically what I was doing, and it was a lot of fun.
Can't agree with you more on the Alternate Starts, though.

Anyone else spend 2 much time in devils pit looking for a door that isnt there. Back to witcher 3
I'd love to talk about TW3, but Gigabyte's RMA is being pretty bad right now, 780 got blown out and I haven't received my replacement. I've yet to play HoS and I really want to play it, especially after FO4.

The last update was just 11 October, so I assume he's still working on it, since it was a beta version and Perkus comes prepackaged with EnaiSiaion's Wintermyst.

LOL - well, I did shoot them (after a quicksave naturally). It was a darn funny experience.
I collect Power Armor and have 7 of them all patched up, painted and all. I line them up in my base because it looks grand - my personal power armor army collection
.
I shot that annoying Long chick who keeps taunting me. Couple of settlers actually hijacked my power armor and turn it against me.

Wish the companion AI would be that smart when they were on my side...
lol!!! One of the settlers took my minigun and started using it on me. I had no idea they would hijack the PA too. Thankfully I always remove the fusion cores even when I leave them parked. ![]()
I hate that Long woman. I want her dead the most. I'm totally thinking of finding some console commands, mod or whatever just to perma kill her.

If you download the configuration tool from Nexus you can set on and off essential quite easily. And then you can go on a killing spree, weee!

So, mods to the rescue with a Bethesda title, eh? Again? Oh whom am I kidding, I'm just jealous as I can't play the game before the next summer.

Don't really need mods, the game is great on its own. My opinion ofc. But aslong as a game has mods available and i can tweak a few small things i always will.

Well, we're on the opposite sides on that. Bethesda games are subpar without mods, to me. Mods are what makes the games great. The vanilla experience is below mediocre, barely a 6. But with mods? 9 to 9,5. Not looking for an argument but I've played video games for 25 years already and I know my own preferences, what I like and don't like. I will not play Fallout 4 until enough time has passed for the modders to provide a decent enough experience for me. The last time Bethesda itself did that was back in 2002.

Why do people feel the need to rate everything? Like its a 6 blah blah, but now its a 9. Its not meant to offend, but if you enjoy something why do you need to rate it? Not looking for one either, we all have our preferences and we all know what we like and do not like. Its one of the few perks of growing up, the only one i like so far atleast. That and the right to buy alcohol.

And will pass on FO4, but await TES VI and SkyWind. A new vid from the latter helps maintain hope in its completion:

Because rating something, or giving it a number, is supposed to give the other individual some sense of value one gives to something. If I were to give an official review of, say, vanilla Skyrim, it would be a 6. If I were to review the modded version of the game that I am currently playing, I would give it a 9. They are basically 2 different games, so why not rate them differently? It's the logical thing to do. Besides, rating things isn't for the benefit of ourselves anyway. I "know" if I like something or not, and how much. You don't. That's the purpose of it.

So far, I mostly agree with this. I think FO4 is strong as hell, stronger than most Bethesda games at release, and my hugest complaint is petty and superficial (and hopefully, easily addressed by mods, eventually) - namely, that I hate that my guns disappear into my pockets when I'm not actively brandishing. I'm pretty sure the vanilla game isn't 600 hours great, but no Bethesda game really has been. Mods, as ever, will skyrocket its longevity.
Skyrim is still da best, though. Mods or no, I just have a teensy bit more affection for the TES setting (and fantasy in general). Possibly that makes me a simpleton.
Enjoyed 700+ hrs of Vanilla Skyrim, so it is quite possible to play w/o mods. But mods also helped me play another 2200+ hrs, as they can help tailor the experience for the indv Player.

If you haven't already, you should consider trying some of the skill and perk overhauls that have come out. Perkus Maximus is the one Dread Reaper and I were talking about upthread, and it really shakes things up, especially in conjunction with mods like Apocalypse Magic, which is a spell overhaul. Stuff like this is modding at its best.
You might add a hundred hours or so to your total getting everything to work right (depending on your loadout), but it's really fun.

I don't ever want to mod TW3. The game is perfect as it is in my eyes and it really does not need it. It's almost like DAO where I did not touch mods til 8th pt after because I want more s3xeh times with alistair and the royal wedding. But if TW3 has cc where I can make female toons, then I guess bring on the hairstyle and lashes mods!

I mostly agree with this with the exception of the Griffin gear, which I modded to look less like a dumpster.

I still prefer TES aswell, mostly because it is a pure fantasy setting with a well developed lore. Sure i want Bethesda to tell better stories, but the freedom of TES and the lore/Worldbuilding is very well done, much kudos for that.

Already modded it! pew pew. Not alot of stuff though, just a few corrections based on lore and a few tweaks i found fitting. I really need to play the game again, to finally formulate my opinion on it.

I just can't say no to the eyes. The only mod that I have installed, ready for that moment when I finally decide to play my first proper playthrough.
