Already modded it! pew pew. Not alot of stuff though, just a few corrections based on lore and a few tweaks i found fitting. I really need to play the game again, to finally formulate my opinion on it.

Other than de-fugging the Griffin gear, I use one that removes the smudging effect from the camera that you get when you're running around the field sometimes. It just got grating, and I hated it.

Otherwise, you don't need to do much. Think I'll try a weather/lighting thing when I tackle a NG+ though.

I want to do something with the Alchemy system, i dislike it, it sucks compared to the two first games in the series. Also is there a possibility to have more than 2 potions hotkeyed at a time?

You can have 4 equipped, and switch between them easily enough, but I don't think that you can actually hotkey more than 2 at a time. I play with a gamepad, though, but I imagine that sort of limitation is more due to balancing than control limitations.

I'm A-OK with the alchemy, otherwise. I think it benefitted from the streamlining.

Patched in? Awesome, that was much needed. Don't really understand why they took away Pouches on Armour pieces, worked fine in TW2.

It lost its depth, that is my main problem with it. Look at the Alchemy system in Skyrim. Its obviously easier to use and manage compared to Morrowind/Oblivion, but it still has the same depth. Here you craft a potion once, and refresh it with Alcohol, what? And you can drink it on the fly aswell. I know this goes hand in hand in with the open world and to keep good pacing, but i just miss the time where meditate was used to get ready for a battle and not to pass time. To be that snob, it ruins MY IMMERSION! I hate using that word.

I still prefer TES aswell, mostly because it is a pure fantasy setting with a well developed lore. Sure i want Bethesda to tell better stories, but the freedom of TES and the lore/Worldbuilding is very well done, much kudos for that.

I prefer TES to, I have been a fantasy nut for as long as I can remember.  And I think Bethesda is capable of telling better stories, because the stories in some of the side content is usually top notch.  The Dark Brotherhood quest lines just about always have me caught up in it.

Huge difference

Edit: Sorry, a bit late.

I actually prefer the vanilla...  :P

But yes, mods allows the player to customize the game to their personal taste. More options is always good.

Like Xety, I dont usually mod a game unless it is really annoying the hell out of me - I much prefer a vanilla experience whenever I can. DAO.... I had to mod the female body. I cant stand the gorilla posture. I tried, tried very hard but sorry devs... it is too much.

As for FO4, I am like the Sanctuary settler Long. 80% and rising happiness but I just have to whine about the 20%. Mainly because I believe Bethesda could have done better. Will mods be able to save the conversation? I dont think so but only time will tell. After near 200 hours, I have all but given up on the story. Conversation wheel aside, 99% of the "options" does not make a difference. Tis basically at most 3 options - yes, no and later. More than half the time, it is either yes or later.

Generally... (not all - dont tell me there are cases that the following does not apply because there are more of the following than exception to the following. Much more):

NPC: You help me yes?

PC: (Ok) - help him.

PC: You Nuts?

NPC: Yeah I am nuts. Now lets do this!

PC:

PC: Tell me more?

NPC: In due time my friend. Now lets do this!

PC:

PC: NO

NPC: I will wait here. Come back when you pick one of the above.

PC:

Now, how can I be playing and enjoying myself for like 200 hours without giving a darn about the story? Because the game itself is truly very enjoyable; maybe because I like to shoot things, chop things and shoot more things and find new places to loot and build. Ah.. and hunting legendary - it is Borderlands all over again  :wizard:

FO4, even without a story, is an extremely enjoyable game. A sandbox world that you can just go and do what you want without the weight of a plot on your shoulder. Unless... you hate shooter for some reason... but sniping the heads off a bunch of super mutants and feral ghouls as they charge towards you and finishing them off in melee with a huge hammer in VATS mode - EPIC. Never gets old. B)

p/s: My headcanon - I am a Space Marine Terminator - I wield the mighty Storm Hammer, Plasma Pistol and Heavy Bolter in Power  Terminator Armor. I will cleanse this world in the name of the Emperor! The stupid child is just chaos gods playing tricks on me. Good one but I aint falling for that. (Only found red paint... so I cant be UltraMarine... ah well, Blood Raven it is B) )

I have over 40 mods installed and at this point I won't play the game without basic interface, lighting and mechanical fixes. So at the very least I improve camera controls, get rid of screen effects, enable instant sign casting with hotkeys and remove the infuriating auto sheathing mechanic. And of course I make him look like a pale, badass mutant again. I'm also patiently awaiting STLM 2, which is looking nice and the author makes his mods a simple drag and drop affair. His lighting for the game is closer in spirit to TW1.

Black templar is the true calling! :P

Back to the topic, FO4 really needs a killable NPC mod badly.

Again... no black paint  :(

Awww but we dont need mods for that :P

setessential <bool> – Allows an NPC to be permanently killed. Click on a an NPC then enter the command for it to work. Use the resurrect command to revive them.
setessential 0 – Allows the NPC to be permanently killed.
setessential 1 – Sets them to be unkillable.

isessential – Returns 0 or 1 depending on whether the target is non-essential or essential.

edit:
What I want is a Space Marine Mod. It works so well in FO4. Space Marine armor is similar to Power Armor, just need to rework some texture. Mode to repaint the Armor into whatever color. The Chain Sword, Storm Hammer, Plasma Pistol, Bolter, Heavy Bolter, etc already have their equivalent in the vanilla game.

And A LandRaider Mod!  :wizard:

Mods are something I don't need, but I will use them for fun. I really enjoyed Dragon Age Origins vanilla style on the Xbawks, but when I played it on my PC, I downloaded a few mods and enjoyed them a lot. I played Skyrim completely modless and enjoyed the hell out of it. So, it really is a take it or leave it situation for me.

And I would never change Geralt's TW3 look! It's perfectly perfect! :P

Need more nude Geralt to be honest. There was a mod for TW2, but he is smooth as a Ken doll. :(

Yeah, i played DA for ages without mods. But there are basic ones that should have been in the game to begin with. Like Leli's Sacred Ashes armor or Elf Ears. I don't like to overdo it.

Proper DA2 style Grey Warden armor is a necessity, and one of the only ones I used. It's such a beaufitul design. On the old BSN, there was also a proportion fix for female dwarves to make them look less ridiculous. That the modder never made one for male dwarves is a tragedy.

Obviously, "Skip the fade" is mandatory on all subsequent play throughs.

If not for that mod I wouldn't have replayed DAO more than once.

Why you do this to me!? Meh, TW2 is almost a standalone game at this point :( Well unless you side with Roche, but who does that?

I've always liked it.  Wouldn't say I loved it maybe.  If for no other reason I always went through it to get the stat boosts.
