I don't know about that.  I'm fairly certain that game has sold a lot of copies.  Maybe not as many as people would have thought, but they are up against a lot of other really big names in November.  It will probably sell a lot more in the time to come.  But they will do it more on the back of the Star Wars name rather than having just made a good game.  I played the beta for that one and good grief was it ever dull.

It has sold alot of copies yes, but its not a good game, or well its just a mediocre game. The beta was dull, so boring to play.

No; primarily ME3 as I recall. My primary weapons are sniping rifles or the Sabre assault rifle, and seem to remember sighting being in 1st person.

And I agree; prefer 3rd person for most everything as a rule except for some like reasons (eg; Archery in Skyrim).

I suppose one could see that as using some first person mechanics to make sniping more useful or immersive, but it really isn't a first person game in any traditional sense. Switching to a first person mode in order to utilize a weapon or piece of equipment isn't the same as walking around and interacting with the world and all battle elements in first.

Either way, I hope Bioware doesn't go that route. Though I play a lot of first person games, I like Mass Effect and Dragon Age without that.

What is the Alternative movement in TW3? Started playing the game again now, and its a new setting in the menu. I do wish that stuff was explained in the options menu, i don't know what half of the graphic options do.

It's basically Geralt turns faster and be more responsive. Unlike the normal mode where you have to wait a bit for the momentum animation to stop before turning left and right.

Try them both and choose your preference.

If you have nvidia, go to their tw3 site. It really gives you in depth explanation on the sliders. I mean, Testelalalation/foiliage woot? I learned fast considering I'm such a dummy on pc. Didn't help that english is not my first language either

I couldn't even play it for more than an hour.  Granted, it was just the beta, but I would think that they would show off some of the most interesting parts of a game in a beta.  But it did nothing to draw me in or excite me, and I am a pretty big Star Wars nerd.

Hopefully EA can do something more exciting with the Star Wars game license. They need a good game from Visceral, and Bioware back on some Star Wars stuff. Likely the only Star Wars we will see from Bioware is a continuation of the MMO. Actually as weird as i sounds i was quite excited when EA got the license, seeing as they have the most diverse studios under their wing. EA doesn't seem interested in making good games anymore, which is a shame.

If they ever decided to remake kotor, I'd scream like a little girl.

I'd scream if they just made a proper sequel. I just don't think remakes are strictly necessary.

Seriously, most of the story stuff in TOR is such a tease. It's SO GOOD, but it's wrapped up in so much irritating MMO nonsense (and now, with a terrible F2P coating) that it can be tough to get to it.

Uncertain, but am continuing to see better reviews of the more current expansions and stories. I found the original materials entertaining, and am rather happy to see that improvements are being made. While I have topped out due to the Action nature of MMO's, the solo storylines I played were enjoyable.

Rather than remake KOTOR, I'd love to see Bioware announce KOTOR 3.

The combat system is so boring, its a World of Warcraft clone in every single gameplay aspect. The story is quite good though, the only saving grace of the game, unfornately.

On an unrelated note, and also related. Its Star Wars The Force Awakens day to day, i am heading to the cinema now!! YAY! YAY! YAY!!!

Yeah, I'm not particularly interested in a remake either. The original is cool, but I only played it a couple of times.

Ok do msybe not a seitch between 3rd1st but a zoom option to examine objects. Field of view to get the up and close of combat instead of the auto hit/damage sponge system. Even on ultra the level
Of detail on creatures in combat was pathetic compared to rivals

KOTOR 3 would be the best for sure but the chances of that happening are near impossible. Not only did SWTOR kind of nullify the chances, Bioware is already busy with Dragon Age, Mass Effect and a new IP.

I still have to play KOTOR 2, though I've heard mixed opinions on it.

I think the writing was great from the word go, actually, especially the Agent storyline. I'm just speaking to the gameplay - which is textbook MMO rote - and the fact that the F2P model they adopted is so bad that even loyal paying subscribers (which I was, from launch until earlier this year) get screwed royally by it. As a result, I've lost track of the last few content packs, but I'm not surprised if the stories are still great.

KOTOR 2 had a better story and protagonist than the first game, but the first game was much more polished.

Kotor II is quite good, but it is very different compared to Kotor, story wise that is. After all it is an Obsidian game. Think its on Steam with its own workshop now so you can get the restoration mod, fixes an unfinished game.

Well i won't spoil anything for you, and i hope others are kind to you. If i had to wait any longer i would go mad.

I hear ya, a new Knights of the Old Republic game would just be freaking awesome.  Imagine a new game of that series in the current age of gaming.  *shivers*  Could be epic.

I'm seeing it tomorrow, but hope you have fun. I'm trying not to read reviews but from what I've heard it's better than the prequels but not as good as Episode 4 and 5.

I don't agree with the story being better.  The twist in that one was really, really good.

I'd love a KOTOR remake. I know a lot of people aren't big fans of remakes instead of new stuff but I love them for the most part. So many games I love/d with modern technology is just too good to pass up. I'm so happy about the the first Yakuza game being remade, as it's one of my favourite game series ever. Also can't wait for FF7.

I don't mind remakes. I just don't see it as a very compelling game to replay. I also don't think Bioware knows how to design like that anymore. Or even wants to. And after Brent Knowles left, they can't even do it with DA.
