Anyone heard if a developer has hired Gaider yet?
I guess there's no new IP ?
This news sucks. He wrote all the most memorable characters for me.
I doubt they scrapped the new IP. Gaider wasn't the lead writer for it, but was brought onto the team because he is skilled at world building. So if anything this could mean the lore and world is in place, and now they are working on the story itself.

Finally found something to keep me busy before Blood and Wine comes out.
Rise of the Tomb Raider looks great - LA-RA's behind alone should keep me occupied for 2 months. ![]()
I am honestly waiting for Xcom 2. The reviews look pretty solid.
Yup, XCOM2 will be my choice until B&W.

I'm with you. I'm excited pass some time with Lara's huge, round... head.
Seriously, they put a Big Head mode in RotTR. More games need this in 2016. I'm getting wonderful, nostalgic Goldeneye sensations from this.
Sorry to say this Elhanan, but I've played 95 hours of Dragon's Dogma recently and there is no way you can play it if you have trouble with games like The Witcher 3. The gameplay itself just doesn't allow it. Timing and precision are needed and muscle memory is important. The most you can hope for is that modders might have a solution for you in a few years.

Considering that I am able to use a few various keys to Pause, this does not seem to be the case. However, without a view of the battlefield, tactical gameplay is restricted. I prefer to avoid spamming potions as a method of survival, but like in Skyrim, ne must use the methods available.
Eh? The Witcher 3 has identical pause options. Seriously. One feature pauses the game and the other accesses the inventory, which also pauses the game. I was under the impression you were unable to play that game because of certain disabilities and the lack of paused gameplay. A bit confusing since you mentioned that several times and yet seem to have no severe issues with a game that is basically identical in those aspects. If you can play one, you can play the other. Then again you know your own business best and it's not for me to say anything. Never mind then.
Mind you, you might consider hiring higher level pawns in Dragon's Dogma. It will be expensive in in-game currency but it will take away some of the pressure. You'd be more like an overseer than an active participant then.

As I recall, the inquiries made about TW3 and Pause were negatives. But even as there is now a mod that includes it, the so-called Mature content also has me pass on it. DDDA does not have such a problem, at least that I have uncovered.
Fair enough, and a valid point, just got a bit confused.
LOL, Xcom 2 is perfect for Sci-fi Witcher role play!
Yen as PSI operatives, Geralt and Ciri = blade master/assault class.

I dont think I can play this game because I am a control freak and hate chance/percentage attacks. If I miss, I need to know that it was *me* who miss not the god of dice messing with me.
I think I am still mentally scared from my days of playing D&D. It was like 2-3 natural one fails in a roll when I only need a 2 to score.
I mean gimme the gun/sword and let's see how well the bugger can dodge. ![]()

The failed dice is main feature for X-com series, some times a pintpointed shotgun shoot could miss but a mile away missile could hit the target. Just ROLL THE DICE! ![]()
Another update vid from Skywind
Looks like Skyrim on the same engine. Not a bad thing though as long as the story is compelling, I will get it.

Yep, I think it's essentially being built from the ground up in Skyrim's creation kit, which is why it's taking so long (although as Elhanan notes, it will require ownership of Morrowind and all its DLC - I'm not sure if that's a technical requirement or just one informally imposed by Bethesda to prevent them from giving it all away on the nexus. I do believe that they're forbidden from actually using Morrowind's existing art assets in Skywind).
It's gonna be brilliant if they ever finish it. Morrowind is a terrific game, but spectacularly difficult to play these days (not because it's difficult per se, but because the gameplay and leveling mechanics are so annoying). And yeah, you can pick up a Morrowind GOTY on steam sale for about 5 bucks, I think. I have one sitting in my steam inventory now just waiting for this.
In other news, I decided last night that I wanted to avail myself of the runewright for the entirety of my NG+, so I made a beeline for him as soon as I got to Velen. At level 40, it took me about 45 minutes and 6-7 tries to kill the arachnomorphs in the jade cave, using a very specialized, purpose build and with lowering the difficulty from DM to easy. Just thought that was amusing.
Believe SkyWind will have Skyrim leveling and mechanics, and MW story and dialogue. This could be the best of both, or so I hope.
Yep. That's the biggest draw for me. For all its simplicity (and accusations of "dumbing down"), Skyrim is the most playable and least annoying Beth leveling system.
I don't follow the project closely, but I do hope that they're not looking to add complete VO to every quest and NPC, though. They might be. I think it would be a waste of time, considering the original game doesn't have it, and I don't think this one needs it, but who knows?
Not sure if this was on your radar, Elhanan, but there's also Enderal. Basically a big new, unrelated to TES game built in the Skyrim CE. It's the sequel to a similar project for Oblivion called Nehrim. Supposed to release next month. Nehrim was huge, ambitious, and really cool. Enderal looks to scratch the same itch.
