Yeah, same! Come to think of it, I don't really need the additional download code so - if it's within forum rules - I'd gladly pass it on to one this threads regular contributors if they haven't already purchased the DLC. I'm playing on PS4.

Wait is this for the Skellige deck in game?

I bought the season pass ages ago. I'll still get it right?

My extra code is for the Blood and Wine expansion pack. Does that include the Skellige deck?

EDIT: I purchased the season pass too, which I'm guessing contains everything (i'll be pissed if it doesn't).

Alright, nevermind. :D

I was offering extra codes for anyone who wants to buy the Limited Edition of real life Gwent decks from the store. Apparently you can't get them without the code and the number available is finite.

The scale and quality of B&W is simply insane! The manticore school armor set is the best looking armor and nice reminder of TW1.

P.S. Disney could really use a thing or two from B&W in next Pixar movie.

Spoiler

This killed me

As for your previous post, I don't think you have to worry about the next DA being like Inquisition. BW always change up their game formulas.

Add to that the intriguing lore bomb, I have faith.

So, I've preordered it and is already downloaded, only problem is I moved flat during the Bank Holiday weekend and my telly and Xbone are not set up yet, and they won't be until at least the weekend.

I just can't believe it, I've been waiting for so effing long :(   :crying:

The next DA title should definitely feature a day/night cycle. it could add some dynamism to the ambience of the maps.

It depends on the scale of the story, and I think it works better if you're confined to one more homogeneous area. If it's similar to DAI and DAO, I'd still prefer the variance offered by discrete zones. That said, it's just a different and equally valid approach. I only played the first 20 minutes or so of B&W last night (enough to get to Toussaint and complete the very first enemy encounter), and it's incredibly beautiful - just as Kaer Morhen and Skellige are incredibly beautiful - but it's still only the third biome we've seen in the game. There's something to be said for variety (and I think it's mandatory in a continent spanning story like DAI).

There may not have been dynamic weather and lighting in DAI, but the environments were deliberately crafted (and well-crafted, in my opinion) to convey an appropriate mood, and the end result is that the weather and environmental effects look just as good (sometimes better) than the dynamic weather in TW3.

Hmm, I wonder of B&W's story is taking some inspirtation from the old story of the Beast of Gevaudan.  I only wonder because of the way they call the killer, The Beast, and the way that one fellow described it as a divine punishment.  Could just be a nod to that story perhaps.  Either way, cool referance.

I agree that DAI's maps look beautiful, and i know that the devs wanted to create a singular mood for each zone but the majority of the maps are static, with little else beyond enemy encounters, or the use of a load screen (Crestwood's day/night transition) to break up the monotony of the maps. Considering their use of zones they could still go for a specific mood by having unique visuals for each zone's weather, and day cycle. Only if they could program the real time transitions in weather, and time.

I want to see what they're fully capable of on a technical level.

That was the rumor I leaked way back in the thread, and that it might be taking inspiration from the Brotherhood of the Wolf movie. Doesn't seem far off now.

I didn't pick that up. They nerfed the one shot kill with the crossbow underwater though :(

Not at all.  Though given CDPR's liking of using old stories and folklore, I think it's more likely that they took their inspiration from the actual legend rather than the movie.  I freaking love that movie though.

There is something to be said for variety.  And I still think that TW3 is very close to the amount of variety that DA:I had.  There might not be as many biomes, but the variety is there in other forms.  Cultures, weather, circumstances, the ways people react to Geralt, etc.

I would rather have the lesser areas with more examples of variety, and that have more life to those areas, than the many that simply look different, and feel so empty.

Since it's very likely that they're masochists anyway, it will probably improve things.

As would I.

I have to disagree about it being optional though. You have no control over the Npcs swearing. He also objects to the gore, which also isn't optional and in quite an abundance

Honestly, if you know a game isn't for you, don't play it. It's a simple as that. The Witcher series isn't for everybody.

I just don't take his opinions seriously. Just like I don't take people seriously when they scream "CDPR R misogynists!" and other ridiculous claims.

Oh, I agree. If you know a game is never going to appeal to you, then don't waste money or time on it, there are too many great games out there to spend those on. Just...the time and energy spent in this thread alone for a game he doesn't ever plan on playing. Smh, it feels such a waste. To each their own, though. To each their own.

And I haven't. Since the thread is about being more like TW3, I oppose some inclusions mentioned.

There's an upside to it all. Most of the gear you find can be broken down into dimetrium ores or draconid leather, so i wasn't disappointed, but it's very boring.

Yah. Because people are screaming for profanity and sexual contents on those "inclusions". I don't recall anyone doing it, but since they are the tw3 content you're strongly opposed on, then  we'd have to dig up the thread.
