I wish more developers did things like this.  I know they want our money, but they actually seem grateful when we give it to them.

I think they've got a different mind set to companies such as EA. To the corporate big wigs in EA we're just numbers and dollar signs not people.

They make games to follow the popular trends because $$$

With CDPR we're people, not just numbers on a spreadsheet. They make the best game they can make, and want to make and figure people are smart enough to make up their own minds. not shoehorning MP in because they can farm the gullible for more $$$. They didn't compromise and strip out features so that ancient machines that should have been retired years ago can play it to try for more sales etc.

I guess it's the difference between say Justin Beiber who will do whatever is popular and follow the trends and a musical artist like say Devin Townsend who'll do whatever he wants, not because it's popular but because it's what he wants to do. Except the CDPR guys hit the mainstream because they made a damn good game as well that people want to play.

Bioware did the same thing at the end of the ME series. It is a good idea.

The free revision; Yes.

And if we are to judge by what was first released, simply wish to remind TW3 fans about the lack of being to bind control keys that was seen at launch, among the other 20 patches of inconveniences that have since been corrected.

This dlc was amazing. I finished the main story before doing all the quests because I have absolutely no patience and wanted to know what was going to happen next---that's how damned good the main story is.

I was a bit worried about doing this because in cases of dlc, there have been times that once the main story is finished, I just get bored and don't wrap up a lot of quests until the next playthrough. This hasn't been the case at all. Even the side missions are great. Just like in the vanilla game. I really love how they grouped a lot of the witcher gear together more, too. I am sad though. Hard to say goodbye to Geralt.

Yes, there have been some patches for TW3. They promptly fix their mistakes and listen to their fans and try to make things better for them. Meanwhile...I still experience loads of bugs in Inquisition. Last time I played, it wouldn't let me mount my horse, no matter how many times I reloaded and tried. So, I couldn't finish that mission. I also didn't get the fix for a mosaic piece that I could never get. There is also the issue where if I ask Dorian about Alexis before his personal mission, it doesn't catch and I am screwed out of it. That was supposed to be fixed, but isn't for me. I also had to trade my copy in for another a long time ago because my "search" circle didn't have a "point" and I didn't know where hidden items were.

I didn't even realize it HAD a point until a forum user told me about it. A friend suggested we trade copies and boom, his worked for me. All of these things were a detriment for my experience. So, please do not act like CDPR are bad for correcting things that need it. Also, keep in mind that a lot of their "fixes" were things that fans asked for after the fact.

I'm sure the Bioware devs - the programmers, the artists, the writers etc. work as hard as anyone and harder than most people in general. Difference is the suits who know nothing of gaming except that people seem to like it, dictate to them how long the can spend working on something.

And yes DAI had free DLC of its own such as the emporium which was kind of cool, they really should have added fade touched mats to it though, but they wanted to keep the grind going I suppose - much more important.

After a year, that's it, they pull up stumps and call it a day.  Sure they can't work on a project forever, and some things will never be perfect in any large scale project. But CDPR still have a team - small though it maybe addressing as many issues as they can a year after release. Hell Borderlands 2 recieved an update a few months back about 3 years after release (released sept 2012, last update in 2015, exact dates for that uncertain)

Anyway, I'm still slowly making may way through the expansion, and gotta say the game still surprises me at the twists and turns the quests take. Such as the

And yet on another system, all my small issues were corrected (eg; floating loot). Different platforms; varied results.

As far as requests, same for DAI patches (eg; informal wear). Both companies did good QA, as far as I am concerned; only bias may make it seem otherwise.

Your riding the horse painting naked sounds funnier actually. I picked the heroic pose and there is some cloth or ribbon that wraps around the front of him. I kind of want to see the reclining in the grass picture now with a come hither face lolz.

Here is what mine turned out like if you're curious.

You're the one trying to make it otherwise. Or you wouldn't have had to remind "Witcher fans" of anything. Also, a company should strive to give good service to all consoles. If they release a game on a console, any console, and there are issues, then fix it. I mean, they decided to release it on the 360 and there were so many issues and they fixed.....oh wait.

It seems some TW fans forget their roots; sex cards, unicorns, and all. Just a simple reminder lest they forget that their Princess has blemishes, too. After all, one of the DAI haters in one thread here gave TW3 a lowly rating due to that one small concern, so it sticks with me.

Lol what?? Who is discussing Origins and its flaws? Did I miss something? I don't understand what you're trying to point out. Are you trying to say because the original Witcher had flaws, no one should complain about flaws and bugs in Bioware games? Or are you saying that Bioware's early games should be held to the standards of CDPR's early games? Or are you saying that the first Witcher should be used as a comparison and excuse for Bioware's Q&A standards? I am not sure what it is you're criticizing now.

I don't think anyone is forgetting their roots. Each Witcher game has been improved. That's what a game series should do--go forward, not backwards. And using the term "princess" isn't helping your case when you say that you don't want to hate on TW3 and you're just here for legitimate reasons. And I am sorry that the DAI "hater" didn't enjoy TW3? It's a shame that one concern ruined the game for them, but umm...okay?

EDIT: Elsewhere, I am going to do the talking Roach mission in a few minutes. I have been savoring this mission so hard that now I am worried it won't live up to my own hype.

He is doing that for his natural loving but disabled daughter. CDPR puts emotional touch in almost every quest in B&W. that I love!

In all honesty I don't think Witcher fans forget the games blemishes at all,  I just think that most fans are happy that CDprojekt takes most of the feedback seriously and tries their best to fix said blemishes. As for the sex cards, while someone might find them in poor taste or a blemish is not necessarily a fact but a matter of opinion; so I think it's best to use bugs as an example of a blemish, instead of a game feature that you may or may not like. While I did find some of the cards juvenile I also found some quite funny.
I'm also not afraid to admit that I love Inquisition and while I enjoyed the dragon age inquisition experience and didn't suffer from too many bugs, I felt pretty bad for my brother who had to play it on 360, they really dropped the ball there. All I can hope is that Bioware takes the feedback and learns so that never happens again.

Oh, must not have got to that mission yet. I am just now tying up a lot of treasure hunts, secondary missions and I have one more contract, I think. That one may be the Big Game Hunter one.

Yup, instead of creatures with more than 7 attacks, the Big Game here is a little girl's dream for nature and her father's selfless love. Take that Blizzard!

As opposed to the game that was missed on the older platforms altogether. Shame they had to miss DLC for DAI, but they did get the base game after all.
