As opposed to the game that was missed on the older platforms altogether. Shame they had to miss DLC for DAI, but they did get the base game after all.

I would have loved for the first and second witcher games to have been on all platforms from the beginning. I know several people who wanted to play the first but couldn't; however, I think the difference is that the Witcher games always were first and foremost PC games, or at least they started out as such.

I just think it's far worse to have people believe their product will be serviced and when they buy said product, you abandon the service after they already spent hard earned cash on it, but that's just my opinion. At least when CDprojekt finally expanded to all platforms, they treated all equally and fixed all equally.

Anyway, I wasn't just referring to dropped DLC, my brother's game was far buggier with his base game than mine was. Honestly, Bioware would have had a far better game from the very beginning if they didn't release it on 360 to begin with. Anyway, don't feel like I'm attacking you, I mean no disrespect. I actually think it's important to let a company know about legitimate bug glitches or mess ups so they improve in the future.

EDIT: I feel dumb, for some reason I thought you were talking about the first and second Witcher games not being on all platforms. oh well lolz.. >.<

They knew issues would arise for the 360 before it even hit the stores. I would wager they knew it long before then, yet released it anyway. It should have never been released.

It's asinine to make the argument about the base game. When someone purchases a game, they expect to be able to have continued support. DLC isn't necessary, but people buying the base game were expecting it and they were certainly expecting patch support. I wonder how many 360 sells they would have made if they were open about the issues from the start and stated that the planned dlc may not be for that console. I bet a lot of 360 owners wouldn't have spent their money on it.

Also, the first Witcher was for the PC, but they did issue the rest of the series for the consoles. That is quite different than releasing the game on a certain console and then ditching it not even halfway through. You're just grappling for complaints now.

well maybe I should write a strongly worded letter asking why it won't work on my 486 DX50 it had a whole 4MB ram and like 40 meg hdd. Could be good for a laugh.

Technology becomes obsolete after enough time. When your current hardware won't do the job you want it to, that's pretty much to start looking at uograde options.

Asterix and Obelix send their regards. Geralt is not the only one dealing with 'Permit A38'.

As I understand, it was serviced for about 7 patches; only in patch 8 do I see any articles appearing about the issue. And I do not feel attacked, by you anyway. It is important to inform a company of bugs and the like, but so is support; my take on the matter.

Damn i'm slow. Rereading the books section i realised that the witcher who owned the Grandmaster schematics was the son of the alchemist whose notes you use to unlock the bonus mutagen powers.

Typical CDPR story telling, little hints everywhere. P.S. Guess who cursed the spoon creature.

Oh my lort. This Roach mission. Five minutes in and I am dying. Just dead dying. The David Bowie reference. Oh man.

Edit: If I didn't already love Roach, this quest would have won me over. Best.damn.mission.ever.

"Do I go left, right...twerk where I stand?" haha CDPR writes the best quests.

Remember that bear school witcher in Skellige who was being hunted by some noblewoman? What happened to him after he setup a trap in that abandoned fort for the noblewoman's henchman who previously burned down the tavern the witcher was staying at?

That story was from the first Bear school diagram hunt in Skellige. The last bit of info i read was from a note by the trapped henchman stating his undying hatred for the witcher who nonchalantly walked away, leaving him to die. (deserved it)

I wonder if he's the same witcher from the Monster of Tufo contract.

I am actually glad that they didn't try to release TW3 on the older gen consoles.  It likely made it a far better game than it would have been if they had tried to spread it around more.  DA:I would have likely been a lot better if they hadn't tried to milk the game for every last possible penny.

I agree. I think a lot of DAI's flaws come from launching it for the 360. It placed a lot of limits on it. I remember watching a friend play it and was astonished at how ugly and bare it was. He loved the game in spite of that and was really disappointed when they dropped it--as many were.

CDPR does not belong to EA so, they spread their game by awesome quality, great service, removing DRM, criminally low price tag etc.

This.

As I understand it, the DA leads didn't want to continue developing on the older platforms, but orders came from the higher ups worried about their precious sales.

Irony is had they cut the old systems loose they would have made a better game, and more than likely had more sales anyway.

The people at ground level, the programmers working on it wouldn't have been blind to the problems, but orders are orders.

I remember during development when they were shopping for publishers it was mentioned that MP could be a thing. Gotta think that publisher they were referring to was EA who seem to think shoehorning MP into everything ever is a fantastic idea.

I'm not against MP, but if the game isn't developed from the ground up with MP in mind, it just won't work.

Hopefully the complete failure of DAIMP means the next DA game is SP only. Or I suppose if they must have MP, go the D:OS approach with dual protagonists and make an option co-op adventure out of it whilst keeping SP very much in the picture as D:OS did.

One cool thing I was able to do in D:OS was have a Geralt and Ciri playthrough. Set one character up like Geralt, who had points in 2handed and some basic magic skills and made a DD rogue. Very cool
