Hard to avoid boobs; some forum thread prove that....

As I understand it, it's actually very easy to avoid posting about a game you don't like in a topic that annoys you.

I've accepted as headcanon the idea that you're completely enamored with this game in all its ostensible depravity, and all this bullheaded irrelevance is a smokescreen for the deep shame you're experiencing because of it. It fits like a glove.

I think our fanboy colleague here is the only one who finds those things annoying. I mean honestly, except for him, where on this BSN have you seen people having problems with "belch, beller, curse and scream when touched"?. Some maybe, but overall, people do not find that annoying. I have rarely seen people complaining about drunken displays and I have rarely seen NPCs urinating for that matter. My point is, these complaints are very scattered. Even if Elhanan is dismissing your opinion, he's the only one here. From what I have seen on BSN, many people do think Bioware could learn a lot from TW3, especially in the area of side quests. I would any day prefer NPCs of TW3 to DAI:I's dead NPCs. Would any day prefer a big city instead of the joke that is Val Royeaux (I hope they do that with Minrathous) . Would any day prefer better environments than the boring empty quasi open world zones of DA:I, except maybe 2 or 3. Like sure they looked impressive but lacked any immersive content. At least I never felt collecting shards and those bottles were immersive at all. I would be happy if BW adds dynamic side quests. I do hope they implement that.

If you ask me, I would rather have BW focus on story, characters, side content and tactics rather than going all open world like Skyrim.

Rather agree, except Bioware already has accomplished much of this: better environs than watching tree breaking winds over the same muddy terrain that rolls on and on forever, great stories, characters, dialogue, etc. Plus they avoid filling in the population with the flotsam of humanity.

And we did not see Val Royeaux; just the marketplace; thankfully.

And let the Haters dominate? nah....

However, as a reminder, I wanted TW3 to be a success, as well as a game I liked; had a friend working for CDPR at the time, and still contend the game can look beautiful. But since the combat has repeating a series of actions without pause functionality, the environs filled with repellent NPC's, playing cards, limited dialogue choices, auto-dialogue, excessive cut-scenes, etc, I pass; used the funds to pre-order ME:A.

Same muddy terrains? You're just trolling at this point. Have nothing better to complain about? You need to stop relying on Youtube videos for your entertainment. Maybe if you played the game instead of picking and choosing what to cry about, you would note that TW3 has varied environments and you would note that TW3 actually has a class system. If you go to the slums, you will undoubtedly find people who fit naturally in that setting, while the upper echelon has the opposite type of people. Really, Elhanan, I think it's time you get a new dance. There is nothing left for you but untrue assumptions and bitterness---and it's showing.

I frequently forget all of his well-reasoned justifications as to why he's passing on this game, so I'm grateful that he repeats them in every single one of his posts.

Are we still drinking whenever he says something about being an informed consumer?

Wootcha got against bewbs? Are they so distasteful and disgusting to you when you most likely spent the first 10 months of your life dangling on them? I mean Bull showed bewbs too, and I dont remember you throwing a fit. What about the brood mothers? They have the amount of boobs that equaled the total number of boobs I've seen on my 500hrs in TW3 including the grave hag's. Or is it only my kind ..... the woman kind of bewbs that offends you so?

And I find it offensive that you find a god given gift more offensive than blood, gore and violence.

He's thrown a fair number of fits about Bull's dirty, dirty mouth. You clearly don't spend much time on the MEA forum. Which is good, you shouldn't, for your own health and happiness.

I believe that in a perfect world, every last bit of media produced would be suitable for viewing by his grandchildren.

The nobles act as poorly as the lower classes; sorry. The upper classes may dress better, but there is no variety there, or in much of the environs. The same scenery rolls on and on over the same beaten path for much of the game.

No mystery; already mentioned Chris Priestly was working for CDPR at the time. But I prefer to recall his time here at Bioware.

Another assumption based on other's posts; not my own. The boobs I find repellent often post around these parts.

As for those illustrated in games, prefer the less is more approach; content to be used infrequently in the telling of the stories. Some games simply do not restrict such use for whatever reason, and again go overboard in the usage of so-called mature content. My peeve is the abundance of profanity; not cleavage.

Lol, guess the number of times he has gave those justifications? 80 posts? I think 100..

I don't even know why people ask him to play the game. When he assumes that all of us here just hate DA:I out of fanboyism or whatever, one should ignore and move forward.

Interestingly, I share Elhanan's opinions on Bioware's stuff, including DAI, at least 80-90% of the time. That other 10-20%, he's just so spectacularly misguided that I can't imagine how he ever arrived at his position. Personally, I'm just glad that his preferences are likely only going to be catered to by accident in the future.

Here's to many more Bulls, Blackwalls, Zaeeds and Vegas going forward. Bustling metropolises and "so called mature content" too.

Yeah, this clearly annoys you. That games dare express the whole of human experience, the distasteful with the good. You're basically asking games to not do what other artistic media does, because boobs and swearing.

DAO managed fairly well; mature content for mature Players. Agreed that the language has degraded over the series, but there is hope things shall turn around again like the ME series (ie; ME3 is better than ME2).

But will leave the nudity and sexual discussions with the mature gamers that embrace their Unicorns and cards....

Well, you're missing the forest and the trees with that last little sick burn. And I can't imagine that's a promise you'll keep, but I have been wrong before.

Either way, I anticipate you'll be disappointed. I think Bioware is probably gonna earn that M rating. As they should - they should write the characters and stories that they want to write. It probably still won't be excessive, assuming you don't define anything higher than zero as "excessive."

DAI kicked up a notch or two is probably a good gauge for what sort of content they'll be chasing in MEA.

Yep; plenty of life for NPC's to belch, beller, curse, and urinate in public, then scream when touched. But TW3 gets pts for having them move out of the way; hope that happens for DA NPC;s, too.

Ummm no, it's perfectly fine for you to not like the witcher 3 but I seriously have to wonder what videos and complaints you're watching if that's all you think the npc's do and I'm sorry to say but it's just plain wrong.

Once in a blue moon I come across npcs that urinate and belch, (although cursing is another story.) But you know how much they do it because you watched some videos?  Have you seen this one?

Inquisition has some beautiful scenery but so does witcher 3. The same muddy terrain? Sorry but these pictures refute that claim.

Feel free to dislike the mature content of Witcher all you wish, but don't say that DA:O handled it any better because it has terrible sex scenes with underwears and dry humping.

To be fair, and I've long tried to strike a middle ground here - DA:O is admirable in its choice and consequence. It's far better than the ME series.

I was actually ref the mature content of Hespith's poem; a verbal description of the assault perpetrated on the Darkspawn victims, and the creation of the Broodmother. Actual mature content for mature players. Also, little to no use of profanity. Will leave the discussions concerning sexual romances to those that have interest in them.

I just loaded up the game and spent some time walking around upper Novigrad. I have not seen one person urinate, curse or belch. No variety? I see very well kept houses, clean cobble stoned streets and brightly colored decorations. A vast difference from the slums and docks. Maybe you can contact that Youtuber you watch and ask him to show you around more. I also loaded up Toussaint and visited the palace region. Again, no urinating, belching, but I did see where one guard complained about the "damned" weather. It was shocking. Your last sentence is upon ridiculous, since there are swamps, forests, beaches, war-torn fields, farmland, snowy mountains and lush flatlands to encounter and that isn't even including some of the scenery in Skellige, which is gorgeous. You don't even know how wrong you are.

You keep saying this, but I took a few minutes to look up some of your very first posts on this thread and they consist of you complaining about the existence of this thread and then page after page after page telling people how wrong they are for liking TW3 better than DAI. It wasn't until people started calling you out on the fact that you have never played the game that you pulled out the consumer card.

Embrace unicorns and sex cards? Oh please, show me one person in this thread who said they liked the sex cards. Just one person! Those were in the very first game and have not made an appearance since, yet you've brought this up numerous times. Material must be getting hard to come by. And the unicorn, as well as any other sex scene with Geralt can be completely avoided. And yes, DAO was so mature with their sex scenes. Every mature person has to have sex with their underwear on--even if they didn't have on underwear before the sex took place.
