Lol oh you!
In my canon, Triss and Geralt are happy and adopted a mini schnauzer and have Ciri 'round for tea and play dirty Scrabble at night. Yeah, that's how I role.
Unfortunately, you're stuck with dirty Gwent. All the fun games got patched out.

Haha, fair enough. Although I meant his pro-Yen attitude to be more in veins of this:
Anyway, do check his stuff out. Apart from entertaining doodles and fan art from The Witcher, he posts Dragon Age from time to time as well.
Well done!

DAI passed the test admirably on it's own, though no game is perfect. Bioware has already acknowledged that side content will have greater weight in future titles, at least with the DA series. Hopefully, the games will have more Player control, more Quickslots, and remain a Pause / tactical game rather than move to the Action titles like TW3 and Technomancer.
- I want DA to keep its identity, that means different racial choices as established in Origins
-Pause and play combat as established in Baldurs Gate. Even Stellaris has a pause and play mechanic - pause, give orders, then unpause when you want the clock to start running again.
- Quick slots also established Baldurs gate, but perfected in NWN.
What I went them to take from Witcher 3 are the quests with choices. Hell they had those for the most part in Origins too.
In the forest for example we could grab the bark - and why not it's on the way to where we are going anyway, and then after that we had a choice on how to spend that resource.
Would rather spend time in the Hinterlands again knowing there were many other areas available, than riding along with a fish bowl view of the same flora and fauna to get there.
My objection to Gwent is the use of profanity there, too; uncertain if there are images of concern as I dislike mini-games as a rule. But objectionable material does seem to be a 'common' thread.
They've actually patched the fishbowl effect by making it a toggle.
And Gwent... seriously? A fun little, optional card game which due to its popularity is getting its own game.
They've introduced profanity into the DA universe as well, but that's a whole other debate as to whether or not that should continue - I'm neutral on that one. Perhaps they should have gone the BSG approach and made up their own words when using profanity could have been a better road for DA to go down.
the funniest thing about this one man crusade against boobies is that all it does is spur more traffic to this thread.
CDPR should hire him.

Good lol. Maybe it will raise awareness!
It's kind of funny, all this discourse over breasts and irl, I am a La Leche advocate and am a member of a local action group. In a way, bewbs r mah lyfe.

Lol. Those cartoons are funny. It pains me to admit the writers clearly put more effort into Yen than Triss. Or more talent at any rate. I still don't have an issue with silly Triss getting drunk and trying to seduce Gerault. I mean, that's like her in the books as well. She's not known for her self control or having a reserved nature. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the writers were arguing over those two women, because I'm certain that's what happened.

No really, the whole Triss mess is created by CDPR themselves, who is cont confident enough to bring Yenna in TW1. As in the book, Triss is a sexual predator (Yup she even cast spell to seduce Geralt then have her way with him to 'test Geralt's relationship with Yen')+a jealous 'friend' (betray Yenna and sell out Ciri to the Lodge so they could manipulate her life forever) and a power-hungry fanatic (willingly became Phillipa's toy) who want to get in Geralt's pants. Given all these crimes against humanity, the eternal exile is a merciful punishment for Triss Merigold.
Not much of a crusader; so many left around to post....
As for the topic, would like to see better hairstyles for both genders.
For once, we are in agreement. Those hairstyles and eyebrows in DAI were atrocious. So.Much.Baldness.

Spoiler tag for off topicness.

So you do see some good in TW3?
I played through DAI 4 times so I must have got some enjoyment out of it. My conclusion is that apart from the tragic hair, The ratio of main story/meaty quest to filler was way out of kilter. I don't mind filler otherwise.
I can admit that TW3 had it's faults, but it's whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. You nitpick at some parts that you find disagreeable. That's fine, everyone has their preferences and that's a good thing.
What you miss by not playing the game is that the faults you find objectionable are diminished by the totality of the game. I'm not asking you to play the game, but this is why your criticisms of TW3 have no credence.

I don't think they did either woman justice in the end. They failed to build on the Triss from TW2, who was becoming a more compelling character, and one entirely separate from the books. Yen's personality is spot on, but she's way more complex and tragic than what we see. They just didn't devote enough time to either character imo. But Sapkowski is an evil genius in this regard. Even he did not say which woman he prefers when asked.
BTW, about that bed...anyone try looking for it? ![]()

Yes, I found it and it has a spoiler. Fantastic.

Because for Sapkowski really does not have much to say about Triss other than stuff already put in books. As for CDPR's part, Triss should be a supportive character like Kiera in TW3 at best. Use Triss as a proxy of Yenna in TW1 and 2 is the biggest mistake CDPR has made to date.

I did and if you find it, there is a little something you can give to Triss, if you'd like.
Edit: Whooops nfi42. I didn't see your post! You ninja'd me!

Why wouldn't you give it to her? Your cruel. ![]()

Sorry, but things get critiqued all the time without being viewed; reason we have reviewers, organizations, and others do this for a better consumer experience. And based on the info gathered, I shall pass on investing in the game.
Your missing the point. Your critique is valid for you. It's complete hogwash for anyone who has played the game.
Even though I vastly prefer Yennefer because of the books, I don't feel like they put in enough time into her either and while I'm not particularly that fond of Triss she deserved better for the fans that do like her, just like Shani should have been a valid option from the beginning for her fans.
Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games but I'm no fangirl, some of my biggest complaints I have are them nearly wiping out the mother daughter aspect with Yennefer and Ciri; sometimes I almost felt like game Ciri didn't even care about Yen. Yen's quest also bothered me, even though the sequence and setting was beautiful. However they basically reduced Geralt's love for yen down to a wish which was just not true . The wish was not love, Geralt was the wish holder and because of that the djinn couldn't kill him, which means the wish had to be something (ambiguous as it was) that would bind their fates not their love, that's it. This also means that if someone preferred Geralt ending up with Triss in their game there was no problem with that, there was no wish stopping it at all.
Also, the ending with the white frost, Avallach, Eredin and the whole Aen elle race were rushed and Iorveth should have been in the game even though I prefer Broche.
So what I hope for CD projekt from future titles is this; stop rushing endings, add more meat to characters and have better continuations between games. As for Bioware, they need to design worlds that actually feel like they're lived in, put more detail into side quests and never give a color coded ending again. There are valid criticisms to be made for any game and sometimes the best thing to do is to take inspiration from the things another game gets right. I don't understand why some think it's a fan war but C'est la vie I guess.

That would make for a really really long game. Of all the things you point out, some I agree with some not so much, Eredin and the Aen Elle should have been fleshed out more, iirc, CDPR have admitted as much. As to the white frost, I think they showed too much. Start the epilogue just after Ciri enters the portal, and the "white frost" is left to our imagination, more powerful story telling in my mind.
