The scene where Geralt finally finds Whoreson Junior is extravagantly cathartic.
If you replay the game, It's worthwhile keeping him alive to see what becomes of Junior. CDPR delivers again.

Junior Whoreson was the worst villain they've ever written. Pure shock value, no complexity, no ulterior motives, no layered personality traits. Just EVUL. I wanted to cry it was so bad. It's also very clear that content cuts probably damaged that questline. It starts out real good, and then immediately goes south about 2/3 of the way through. I'm of the belief they need to give the writers and quest designers plenty of time to iterate, to see how things will look in the final product. Otherwise, the writers are working blind and they don't have a full idea on how things will play out. Marcin Blacha and another lead writer mentioned this in interviews.
I don't disagree, but if every minor character was fleshed out to explain who and what they are, TW3 would never end.

Apparently Iorveth was involved in the quest to find Whoreson. Not sure if that would have improved the quality (okay, I am sure, everything with Iorveth is more awesome) but considering Iorveth was set to appear in that quest and others, they must have cut a lot in that area. I think the Novigrad underworld was supposed to have more to it because the King of Beggars seemed like he should have had more content as well.

It's hardly an isolated case. Brutal sadism and cruelty seems to be something of a go to motivation for minor antagonists in this game. I've encountered it several times over, with attention to detail. Geralt is investigating another case in my game right now (this poor dwarf), and it's not like I haven't encountered about a hundred mentions of what some of the witch hunters want to do to Sorceresses.
Not that I understand the accusation that it's necessarily poor writing in the first place, mind you. Cruelty is such a frequent source of suffering in the real world that it's seems silly to rebuke a creator for showcasing it in their own work.
"You smell wonderful."
So smooth.

I don't mind admitting I would pay for an 'Unfinished Business' DLC where cut quests and content was restored. Won't happen, but I'd just about pre-order now if it would make such a thing a reality. CDPR have earned themselves a bit trust I think.
New Zelda has some elements that put hardcore rpgs like w3 and dai too shame
Like what? I was quite impressed by what I've seen, although the world looks pretty barren. Didn't see any cities or settlements. Final Fantasy 15's world looks like it might rival the biggest games out there in size and detail.
Poles take their games seriously:
Zelda has
Breakable weapons
Hot/cold gear for survival
Cooking/gathering animations
Chopping down a tree to cross a river/stream
Lighting woods on fire with wind affecting it
Able to light weapons on fire
Stealth mechanics similar/possible betterthan metal gear franchise
Climbing-looks better than most aaa titles
Moving a boulder to smash enemies
Magic item allowing you to control objects
Bows on horseback
Spears
This game targeted for a younger nintendo audience shames games on pc/consoles made for adults
Havent seen cities yet or dialogue do that could be disapointing however i am intrigued
That sounds cool and all, but I don't think it puts any other games to shame. Just different.

I am not quite sure how exactly does it "shame" other games like DA:I or TW3. In which way? And how?
I mean, most of it sounds nice and all, I guess. But if you measure the quality of an RPG with fluff like this, then I suppose every Survival game (from DayZ to Life is Feudal) or Skyrim with mods must be a Game of the Decade for you, since it could offer similiar or same features for less. ![]()
Besides, Bannerlord will destroy every game once it comes out, including Zelda. Mark my words!

Most of the stuff you listed can be done in other games too, just not all at once. Although I'll take the climbing and stealth with a grain of salt. Assassin Creed already improved their climbing mechanics and I doubt the game could top Metal gear in the stealth dept. But who knows.
IMO, if the world isn't immersive and the story is lackluster then it doesn't matter how many mechanics a game has, it'll still suck.
Lol that part.
"You smell wonderful. "
"We're at a funeral."

Geralt is smooth.
Second only to Vlodimir von Everec imo.
One thing they shouldn't emulate is how to have NPCs react at the slightest brush of contact. This is getting annoying.
Half the time they're the ones bumping into me.
^ agree.
Witcher 3 has the most important thing going for it when comparing to the new Zelda game. It's been released.

Spoiler
I hate that woman with a passion. She's literally the only woman in the whole series I hate.
Anna Henrietta all the way.

I was playing DAI a few minutes ago and realize how much I love the interaction feel of TW3. I hope they nix that concept of just talking to someone without a cutscene in the future DA titles. It's a bit lackluster just to talk to everyone as you would some random NPC and sometimes you can't even see their face, depending on the camera location. I can tell you that for someonw like me, who lip reads and studies facial movement when conversing, it's a bit of a disappointment.
Are you trying to bait Bat Phase or something? ![]()
Haha my friend says the same thing, but I literally walk through a village purposely running into anyone I can. It's the little things.
Oh so do I. I take special care to do it to nobles and anyone involved with the Church of Eternal Fire.
The only ones I make an effort to avoid are the kids.

Oh, you have to do it to the kids! Some will actually fuss at you for it. I had one little girl that told me to stop stepping on her. Which of course made me run in circles around her and knock into her with every turn.

God no! lol Never that. I have ruffled enough feathers over on the MEA board, I don't want jimmies rustled here. It was just a musing. ![]()
