Oh, you have to do it to the kids! Some will actually fuss at you for it. I had one little girl that told me to stop stepping on her. Which of course made me run in circles around her and knock into her with every turn.

Yes it's fun do do it to kids too,  some of them even apologize to you

I remember first time I played, I was extremely careful to avoid running/walking or riding into/over npc's.  That stopped the instant I reached Novigrad.

God no! lol Never that. I have ruffled enough feathers over on the MEA board, I don't want jimmies rustled here. It was just a musing.  ^_^

Well I didn't think that you would, your musing just seemed almost perfectly designed to that purpose.  :P

Winnie the Pooh Easter Egg in Blood and Wine :D  You can see him in the background during the cut scene at the very beginning of B&W when Geralt and the two knights enter Toussaint. If you go back to that area you'll still see him there.

:o That is suppose to be Winnie the Pooh!?!

Oh my... I just saw a bear in a red shirt and... do what I do to any bears... found it strange and thought that it is some hidden quest or a werebear or something...

 Did I slay someone's childhood memory? Ah well... never a fan of Winnie anyways.

Indeed. Although I can't get over how magnificent Geralt looks in that screenshot. I mean dayum son. Any more testosterone and the ladies would be fainting.

Recently replaying The Witcher 2 made me realize how massively they improved the faces and facial animations. The second game still looks beautiful in many areas but the faces are more stiff and still a little awkward when they talk. In the third game the characters are so lifelike and animated.

I hope Bioware manages to improve their facial animations in the next game because DAI actually seemed a step down in that regard. While the look of the faces was improved (though I'm not a fan of the overly shiny textures, and that issue is not limited to the faces alone) they move little more than their mouth when talking and making facial expressions and stare straight ahead with dead eyes that don't move at all and even rarely blink. I couldn't recall the same dead look in the previous games, and sure thing: when I loaded up DAO, Alistair did subtly move his eyes while talking to him. It's something you don't even notice until it's missing. DA2 also had it and while the game was very rushed, companions tended to have pretty good animations and some subtle expressions.

^ agree.

Witcher 3 has the most important thing going for it when comparing to the new Zelda game.  It's been released.

So I just got finishes the main story of B&W and I was

I was disappoint that there wasn't an ending where...

Not that it would've been my "canon" ending, but it would've been nice to have.

On a related note, i still have to check out he ending where

But that means putting Kirby: Planet Robobot on hold, and I'm not sure I can ditch my boy Kirby just yet, he still needs to kick out the invading aliens and build a wall around popstar.

Finally the last book in the Witcher saga, Lady of the Lake released recently in my home language and now I can officially say I have consumed the whole story of Geralt and Ciri.

Naturally I had previously already read the fan translations of every unreleased book but it was not the same plus there are always some puzzling grammar errors you run across when reading them.

Add to that Blood and Wine ending which I reached couple of weeks ago where Regis and Geralt sit together and think about the long journey both of them have gone through.

So melancholic feeling this, knowing I have finally reached an end of my favorite franchise......

Va faill Geralt of Rivia and Ciri Fiona Elen Rianon. It truly was a wild ride and I hope we meet again some day along the road.

I realized that the theme of TW3 has more to do with ME than DA. I didn't read all 622 pages, but no doubt some of you noticed that already. I've put my thoughts in spoiler tags, in the hope that it doesn't derail this thread. May the mods show mercy.

Take it easy. We're just talking about games. Don't invoke the fury of the mods.

As far as ME comparisons go, the Kaer Morhen section reminded me quite a bit of the Suicide Mission in ME2. Which is not a bad thing in fact.

I noticed the similarities to ME as well, though I feel it's more or less the result of following through with the chosen one trope. Especially since there was really no twist with it at the end. But the possible fate of our heroin, the saving of worlds, stopping an imminent threat - It's all there...unfortunately.  I also think battle of Kaer Morhen was definitely inspired by the suicide mission.

It would've been nice to have Iorveth participate in Kaer Morhen if he was actually in TW3, or even better, Siegfried(best witcher character ever).

Well she was a brat, but that's where the similarities end.

Come to think of it... The suicide mission is not unique. I think that one is inspired by the Fellowship of the Ring.

Shame.

Phillipa has earned the pleasure.

Although honestly, I was really pulling for him to go via immolation by angry sorceress. I was disappointed that she resorted to such mundane means of execution.
