I see Bioware has decided their fans are unimportant etc... closing their forums down next month which stinks. So definitely won't be buying Mass Effect Andromeda now and I may even decide against ever buying any Bioware games ever again given they have such contempt for the fans who support them by buying their games and gjving honest feedback.
Been nice knowing most of you guys here if you want to stay in touch my PSN id etc is in my signature.

Buy used if you have a grudge against a gaming company. You don't miss out on the game, assuming you're interested in it, but your cash goes entirely to the retailer.

well, there's always reddit. FYI, my username here is the same on reddit. I guess we can just take this discussion to reddit.

Good point I may well do that, will see what the reviews are like. If they do another Dragon Age I really hope it's better than Inquisition and reistates better quest design etc..

Can't remember what my reddit id is, most likely it's the same as here, I don't go to reddit much as not so keen on the format. Just a shame Bioware have made this decision, guess they really do hate fans and feedback.

You can always pirate Andromeda.  I will admit that this has also soured me in giving them any support.  Not saying I will pirate, but buying used is a good start.  You get the game cheaper that way anyway.

You also shaft the creators behind the game by extension. It's a mistake to lump all of them together. In fact, the same mistake the people behind this closure of the forums are making.

Unfortunately there isn't any other way to tell them that you don't agree with how they treat long standing fans of their games. Bioware have been getting worse for treating fans badly for a while now, they have ignored fans who have raised valid concerns or issues with games and now this what else should we do?

CDPR has always been good to there fans even when they get things wrong.

Exactly which is why I buy their games, they have a great policy and unlike Bioware actually do listen to their fans.

Damnit. I go away for a few weeks and when I come back, this place is going to dissapear. Bummer!

Anyway, for anyone interested in staying in touch:

Reddit: https://www.reddit.c...er/Deathstruck/

CD Projekt forums: http://forums.cdproj...8466-The_Vityaz

Or! You can add me on Steam and we can play some vidja games together or whatever. Different timezones be damned.

http://steamcommunit...id/TheParagade/

(and chances are if you see a Dread or Deathstruck anywhere, it's going to be me)

No, deadline is 08.26. I hope that's at least somewhat comforting.

I do not know what this means for Bioware's future. I hope at least they are going to open a new one for MEA. I have not and was not going to visit MEA forums until I have played it, but I guess I am never going to get that chance now.

There's always gamefaqs for a forum dedicatied to MEA.

Well considering I literally PMed mods and stuff asking them to shut down their forum a long time ago it would be pretty silly for me to pretend I am not slightly happy....

It's not that I think every poster here was bad or interesting conversations shouldn't happen, this thread was actually an example of it being fun at times, but I just felt instinctively that what Bioware made with their games and stuff was too beautiful to deserve the constant tirade of abuse and whining, and which was entirely projection for the most part anyway.

The world tends to function on the belief that if you can't accept or tolerate something, get a move on, I hadn't the faintest idea why this place was an exception to that rule for so long, but it's good to know the spirit of the founder's lived on in some way... specifically that they weren't just going to take **** forever like it was nothing.

Well, why am I not surprised at all?

Every great thing must come to an end including this thread.

C'est la vie.

Or we could vote with our wallet. From my own experience, cancelled SWTOR annual subscription for a less ridiculous ME3 ending, it works! I wish MEA good luck, but I haven't see any hints that it could be a decent RPG.

I've seen some toxicity on the forums but I've really seen more good then bad and have read some amazing discussions on here. I've also read some valid praise and criticisms. I'll miss this thread and reading the posts in here. Maybe I'm stretching it a bit but I really don't think this is about money or getting feedback on twitter or facebook. I just don't think they care about fan feedback at all anymore and they probably feel that the less discussion and feedback about their games the better. Anyway, it was fun and I wish everyone in here the best.

Twitter is Bioware's social media platform of choice and has been for a long time.

Official forums are probably never coming back. Twitter costs Bioware nothing and they reach a lot more people there with announcements.

Given EA's record, closing down the forum could be the beginning of an end. Thus I really wish Bioware would get a happier ending than Maxis, Bullfrog and Westwood.

The remains of Bioware post DA2/ME3 ending are quite potent, they aren't going anywhere.

It's just the fans/developers have been going other places than here.

And unless you had more special interests and ideas like me, why wouldn't you have?

Heck even I was done here by the time of this announcement.

Heck I mean I posted here but I was doing the vast majority of learning and intrigue on a wide variety of other sites and places.
