True Roche is her commanding officer.  But they aren't even a real military anymore. They're rebels fighting for Temeria.  Perhaps when they get their country back and become a real fighting force for their country, I can understand her following his orders to the letter, but in that situation, why not just wear whatever you want.

I agree that my interpretation isn't supported.  It's not like Ves and Geralt sat down for a heart to heart and it would look silly if CDPR added that.  It's more speculation on my part, especially if I were to connect her outfit to the pirate Mary Read who fought with her shirt open similar to Ves because she wanted every man she defeated to know they were beaten by a woman. Ves didn't feel the need to display herself in TW2 and was often times considered "one of the boys",  yet she displays herself in TW3, almost to dispel that notion.  It makes me thinks she's somehow reclaiming her sexuality in a way and/or flaunting her sexuality and strength like Read. In this case, it's not about being tactical or clean but more about being free.  I saw a post on CDPR's forums about the look of the sorceresses and someone mentioned that they would have preferred Triss's hair down because in the books it's said that most sorceresses prefer their hair down as a sign of their freedom.  I think it makes sense that many women in the Witcher verse would look for ways to break out of society's mold in a way. I can see Ves's outfit as her way of doing that.

Yeah, this seems like the most plausible explanation. But still, IMO, it's not really sufficient. But this is one of the few clothing choices I find really objectionable in the game, luckily.

Many of the posters here have already moved on, nut I'll just pop in here to say bye to. I'm going on vacation and won't be back till the site has gone read only. So this was the end of the cleavage debate for me. :P

Looking forward to Cyberpunk. Maybe I'll become active on CDPR's boards. At any rate, happy gaming! :-)

That armor clearly has some incredible HP regen qualities, as the dude gets resurrected afterwards in time for the next scene, yet the dwarf lost to the Skelligirl.

CDPR pushing the feminist agenda this blatantly is one of my reasons why I'm not going to buy this game.

See ya Dutchess! Though sadly the CDPR boards are nowhere near as active as the BSN's.

Roche points that out to her. To which Ves replied that she can wear whatever she wants.

Something tells me CDPR was well aware of the nitpicking backlash they would get for the outfit.

Fortunately they don't really seem to care

Just hoping these clowns from Mary Sue, kotaku, Polygon and other similar sites won't have any influence on any design decision regarding Cyberpunk 2077. CDP should stay CDP and not become another 2016 Bioware.
