I wont use it, no real interest. But I can see why many(most) others would want to use it. Cassandra is the bomb. I'll never understand why people hate it though. If they don't like it, they don't have to download it. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

They're already aware of that, people are still allow to voice their opinion over it if they remain civil about it

I hate this. Now Ashley can cheat on me with Cassandra, too.

I dont like mods that changes a characters personality, it's disrespectful in my opinion. Just like how I think Dorian and Sera's preferences shouldnt be changed, I dont believe in changing the preferences of Cassandra or Cullen. But what does it matter, my opinion will only fall on deaf ears.

It still don't make sense to me. To flame a mod because it don't agree with your idea. Its like going into a Burger King and screaming at the manager because the store sells chicken fries. Well who am I to say? There are always going to be people who want to vent and any target is subject to their anger. If you can't change it, you might as well not say anything about it.

Wouldn't that go both ways? The people who uses the mod are only doing it because they technically don't agree with their ideas

I'd argue mods are different, as they don't creep on your pages, facebook, twitter, whatever and say "I REALLY LIKE THESE CHARACTERS TO BE STRAIGHT/GAY/BI INSTEAD OF <insert original sexuality here>"
Sure they disagree, but they disagree in their own personal bubble.
There's one thing to not like a mod and it's another thing to pointlessly go to the mod page, voice your useless opinion and possibly even insult several people. The latter is usually the problematic behaviour people are complaining about.

I do agree, the people who actually harassed the mod maker took it way too far

Voice opinions, yes. Tell me what I can or cannot do, no. Pestering a modder is not voicing opinion. It is not any peoples task to carry out the sanitized code of conduct spewed out via various channels and ram it down others throats.

If I created a mod to romance Kieran, you would all support that, right? Because I'd be doing it in my own space in my own game and not bothering other people with it. You wouldn't tell me what I can and can't do I would hope...

I don't like it that Cassandra believes in the maker. Is there a mod for that?
And what about Solas? Him being an elf is lame. Where's the mod to get rid of those point ears?

So pro modders, honest question:

Yup, you're free to do whatever you want with your games.

And what about Solas? Him being an elf is lame. Where's the mod to get rid of those point ears?
Actually the latter might just happen if someone manages to find the code to do so: there's been mods changing characters' race to another before, like a human Zevran mod for example.

Oh now you've gone too far, you know only the sexuality of straight characters can be changed.
And before anyone jumps down my throat, im bi.

Before we all go ahead and rehash the usual angry arguments on this, I'd like to post the best comment I've ever seen on this, from equal-opportunity-sith-lords.tumblr.com:
----
The difference between the Dragon Age fandom and the Skyrim fandom
The Dragon Age Fandom: ...but is it ok to mod the romances? Does it erase the characters' original sexuality? Is it breaking the intended story? Do lgbtq characters need more or less representation...
Skyrim Fandom: See this dragon?
Skyrim Fandom: I'm gonna make it Randy Savage
Skyrim Fandom: and romance it.
----
tl;dr: it's. a. mod.
