Something too note something regarding "cut dialogue" and similar indicating what was "planned" for characters, is that just because the dialogue exists, doesn't mean the character has been changed during development or that that dialogue was originally meant to be in the game. It's just as likely that that was extra dialogue recorded in case they decided to change it. Getting people back into the studio to re-record lines is expensive, so while you've got them in there, you might as well have the VA record dialogue aimed at the other sex on the off chance that you do decide to change the character later. More often than not, it'll go to waste, but it didn't take long to do, so when the situation comes up that you do deicde to make a character bi at a late stage in the game development, you've got the recordings on hand.

I'm awful at playing hide and seek because I can't find the original tweet, but one of the devs tweeted that Cullen was originally planned to be bi. But since Cullen and Solas were added after they got an extra year of development time, they probably overestimated the time they had available and had to cut the content for a male Quizzy as they were running out of time.

Maybe the tweet was reblogged somewhere in this thread, idk.

I don't know why people are so bent out of shape when it comes to this mod if you don't wish to have a BI Cassandra don't downlaod the mod, no one  is forcing you at gun point to downlaod the blasted thing

I have zero issue with people creating mods to get rid of the silly restrictive gates that Bioware stuck on the romances.
I don't like the notion some seem to advance that the Cass mod is ok but a Dorian one isn't. The only difference i see is a Dorian one would require a more substantial modification.

And a lovely wedding plus some long-awaited grandchildren! Forget that backwater Inquisition, the female Inquisitor could easily become an Archon!

 

Really, all that touchy-feely business aside, I'd love a Dorian marriage mod for the evil female Inquisitor. She'd basically use Dorian's name to get power and leverage in Tevinter. Some dagger-and-cloak night meetings in Val Royeaux, brutal ops on the War Table, another meeting with Dorian's father, some blackmail, assassins from competing Tevinter families in her Skyhold bedroom, maybe even a secret pact involving Leliana! For Extra Evil flavor, Erimond could use that blood magic ritual on Dorian - after all, evil Hawke can give Fenris back to Danarius. Bribes, power, new court schemes and a little intrigue. Mmm... Delicious. I'd go for a Gaspard-Inquisitor marriage instead, but Orlesians are boring.

I know about that tweet, I heard it was from an ex Q&A person and it got deleted after word got out

So I'm very skeptical about it being accurate info because of the deletion

Your Noble Trevelyan is related to Dorian in a way, so it would work. Lol and yeah marrying Gaspard (or Celene) would have been a fun twist. After you blackmail all 3 you get the option to demand marriage from one of them. 

 

DAO had political marriage option so it's shame DAI didn't have one. I would have married Gaspard in eyeblink

How would that be homophobic? Political marriages aren't about love or sexual attraction, they're about politics. It would be no different from two straight people with no sexual attraction to one another getting married for political convenience.

That's not hard to understand? I'm already astounished as how many times I'd to witness the sassy best friend who loves to flirt trope with Dorian, the option to marry him would have made me witness even more of that kind of bullshit. I can only imagine the gross comments on "forcing" the gay empress to marry you.

And I doubt either one of the throne contender would even consider a quaint Free Marcher noble anyway herald or not.

 

That doesn't mean every player who made their femquisitor flirts with Dorian are gross about it. But some are, and I don't like encountering it that's all.
