Eh, I'd have to disagree with that.  Making Kieren romancable is sick as crap no matter what way you slice it because he's a minor and could never consent to a romance regardless.  It's really not comparable at all.  It's rape, plain and simple.

But if he has the soul of an old god... and an old god is about 900 years old...

I'd love to see a Dorian straight mod. I'd laugh that someone with his mannerisms and personality ends up being straight. I hope the modded would add in some of those DAO/DA2 conversations where your party questions the relationship. I would be concerned for any female friends if they were with Dorian and would have an entirely separate Inquisition about this.

Inquisitor: Ya know Halward... if you really want Dorian to fulfill his duty...

Halward: Yes?

Inquisition: Forget blood magic...

*Looks around*

Inquisitor: You ever heard of something called... tranquility?

I'd like to see a Bi Varric mod... with an extra twist in that it still does not allow me to romance him in any way, shape or form?

That's sad.

Agreed. If I want to mod Krem to present as female in my game, who cares? IT'S MY GAME.

The s**t that such a mod would provoke would be storm of the century legendary.

Some mods really disgust me and I will judge you for that, especially things like white Isabela/Bethany Romance/Bi Sera and so on but it is your game, so that is your problem really.

That is the thing I do not understand, people can have negative feelings about it and still refrain from harassing others. Learn how to block people or at least do a critical social analyse of the necessities of those mods, something productive.

I wont use it, no real interest. But I can see why many(most) others would want to use it. Cassandra is the bomb. I'll never understand why people hate it though. If they don't like it, they don't have to download it. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

I don't begrudge modders their modding, and I'm guessing there very unfortunate reasons for the hate. At the same time, there's just something I find fundamentally repugnant about mods that change features of a character that are IRL hot-button issues (e.g. skin colour, orientation, etc.). Like with the light-skinned Isabella mods, I'm a little put off by the bi-Cass mods (in this case specifically because Cassandra has content as to why she lets down a female Inquisitor).

Someone made a mod for Origins that gave characters with light skin dark skin, and that honestly disgusted me as much as the reverse. I would never dream of changing Vivians skin colour, just as much as I would never dream of changing Morrigans skin colour, so you cant claim offence at one while arguing that the other is acceptable. Either theyre both acceptable, or none of them are acceptable. But there does seem to be an odd double standard when it comes to people with light skin, or people who are heterosexual, where people can do things with them they would never dream of doing with any other character. If it is offensive to change someone who isnt white or straight, then its offensive to change someone who is the opposite. Drop the double standards, because its still offensive regardless.

Vivienne had light skin originally, and is perfect the way she is now.
Sera had dark skin originally, and is perfect the way she is now.
Cullen was bi originally, and is perfect the way he is now.
Aveline is amazing as she is, and does not need a pretty mod.
Cassandra is my canon Inquisitors canon romance, and she does not need to be made more feminine.
Perfect, as, they, are.

Respect the characters, respect who they are, and respect their wishes, because to change them is to show that you never truly liked or respected who they were to begin with.

Here we go... Round two begins!!

I think people are far too obsessed with gender and sexuality. I dont know if it's a Dragon Age fanbase thing, or a universal symptom of people whinging on Tumblr. I can't say, as I don't go on Tumblr nor am I a member of any other game forum.

When it comes to mods, I don't have a problem with it at all but I draw the line at rape mods and other such disgusting things.. Not because of the content itself, which, as the insensitive twit that I am, my concern is with people who browse mods, who are victims of rape or other abuse and the triggers that go along with it.

A sexuality changing mod though, I dont give two squirts about.

It only changes in an individual's personal game and doesn't affect it as a whole. Cass is still straight, Sera and Dorian will still be gay, and so on.

Also, I must say I'm disgusted with some people in the homosexuality community, with their blatant hypocrisy on the matter. This is coming from a lesbian.

That's just my two cents.

You could if you went at it from a premise of moral objectivism.

Good point, and true, but it doesn't really do much to change a modder's mind. Of course they didn't respect the character and wanted it to change. Most would readily admit that. Like brauvno or whatever his name was. Clearly dislikes Cass' face, clearly wants it modded.

So pro modders, honest question:

If I created a mod to romance Kieran, you would all support that, right? Because I'd be doing it in my own space in my own game and not bothering other people with it. You wouldn't tell me what I can and can't do I would hope...

If such a mod ever comes to exist, the modder should go the extra mile and design new armor for the Inquisitor.

Anyway, regarding this mod, I'm curious about the dialogue. I can't remember everything Cassandra says, but aren't some of her romance lines pretty much specific to a male character?

Yeah, she says something about the inquisitor being a "faithful man" or something like that. There are probably dialogues options to avoid that.

Am I weird?  Rhetorical.

However, we are on a Bioware forum.  If this topic stays up isn't Bioware tacitly agreeing with the changes?

I'd love to romance Cassandra...oh yeah, you know how we lesbians are...converting all the straight women (well gay until graduation types); I love the idea of the mod.  I won't use it because I like cannon, but I'm glad it exists.

Some of us live in freer country's than others, or if in the US, freer states.  Nobody I know would get killed for having it on their PC.  That's not true everywhere.

I'm just too lazy to use steam engine...shrug.

Not really, there's no reason to take down the topic if isn't completely off-topic or non-civil

I heard about it's existence from a tumblr link, and shocking enough people shunned that mod but praised the Cassandra and Cullen mod

I wouldn't be surprised if that mod got taken down

Black Emporium sells that actually. You know how the old man likes his sponge baths.
