Give me my choices back

I enjoy exploiting, and if you don't, that's fine, but I do, so I'd like to be able to exploit something that I've paid for and spent many hours playing.
It all comes down to choice, and by taking mine away, you've personally offended me and I never forget an offence.

If all you care about is exploiting the game, there's little cause for you to keep complaining.

Every character can still get at least one amulet, and you can freely dupe them in the storage chest.
If all you care about is exploiting the game, there's little cause for you to keep complaining.
Dude, I'm pretty sure the right to cheat at video games is in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
No, wait, that's the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. I always mix those two up.

Bioware should just make to make a free, optional DLC called Feast Day Gifts and 5000 Amulets. This way those that want them could choose to get them, and I could keep choosing to ignoring them.
Or even better for me, they should only allow amulet drops for characters that I don't' use. Keeping Varric on the bench? Well here's three amulets of power only for him. Didn't use Iron Bull to kill those Dragons? Well here's enough amulets to fill out his Reaver tree. How you like him now?

Even if they decided to reverse their decision and put them back into the game, they're not going to just "give" you a bunch of amulets of power. You would likely have to do a full play again with a patched game to get new ones.

Haven't played the game for months
Me neither. I've only dropped back to the forums today to see if any of the many updates they've unleashed have served a purpose. And no, they haven't. The game is still pretty much as flawed as it was at release. No need to turn it back on.

Actually, you do have a choice... You simply haven't considered it. First Delete the game and all the files for it from your system. Then re-install it again. Then you can Choose not to Update your system for the game, but you will be choosing to stay offline with it.

But on the other hand, I did like the ability to be able to reach, unlock and do everything with every character and every race. But that is just plain old hard core role playing. They should grain the opinion to be able to earn the right to have everything for every character. That doesn't mean it has to be a cheat. They could have granted the opinion to purchase the item for a extremely high price that you could grind to earn, or even allowed you to grind you way to a level that could be able to do so by normal means. Like mixing the rule of the game Fate and the game Skyrim, keep all enemies leveling up as much as the player and making the level cap limitless. Of course regardless of what level you are or what talents you have, your not going to survive any extreme levels without the keeping your equipment upgraded. So all crafting material should be limitless to the amount that can be purchase.

I believe their is a mod someone did up to bring the amulets back. Perhaps look into that? It's what I'd do to if I was to start a new game.

In think it's great they fixed it, people who need to use glitches, cheats or exploits to play a game are the scum of the gaming community.

Funny, I'd say the same about holier-than-thou busybodies who get overly concerned about how other people play single player games.

I don't believe this works because you have to be online and connected to Origin when you install the game. During installation it will automatically check for updates and apply the most recent as part of the complete installation. So basically only people that have been playing from the beginning and have chosen to wait before updating have any sort of leeway for this.

Since we're talking SP, I really don't see why those two exploits were the VERY FIRST THINGS they fixed. Who cares? I don't use them, fine. Someone else does, fine. It's not cheating in MP or compared to other players. And in light of there being immense bugs in the game left untreated while they chose to VERY QUICKLY fix a couple of pointless exploits, I stand with the OP in calling this BS, even if I don't particularly agree with them.
