After recruiting him and the fact he tells you of dragon locations from what he hears I think he should be repositioned after recruitment to the Skyhold library or somewhere that he can look of use and be easier to talk to then running out to the Western Approach only a minor suggestion but useful at that.

He's useless, i looked online for maps showing the locations because it's easier. His quest for luring th dragon makes no sense either, it's low level and the loot you get from it is rubbish considering the effort required just for it to show up.

yes but the ingame feel is much better as I know every dragons location(got the primaguide), and luring beasts is a normal thing his was a theory of using semi rotted meat so the smell of the aroma reaches further out to pull the high dragon towards the area he wanted and since we proved the theory right for all we know we might see him in another game lure a high dragon into a war zone.
What got me though is nothing else showed up to eat the meat.
