I only recently got KOTOR on Steam having had the Xbox version since 2004. I wanted to try something on my first PC playthrough and I wanted to find out if it was possible. I'm not sure I want to use the Jedi from the Beginning mod just yet, but I did want to find out if, after becoming a jedi, and after Taris, if it would be possible using the save editor to de-level my character so I can add more jedi levels? For instance, say I got my scout up to lvl 8 at the end of Taris, but wanted to level scout down to 1 after becoming a jedi so I can add 19 jedi levels by the end of the gaem. Is this possible, or would it make the game crash?
Question about the KOTOR save editor.

I'm not familiar with save editor, but many players choose to not level during Taris, so your character stays at level 2 for that part, then use all the leveling once they get their Jedi status. Did you play that way when on X-Box?
This can make going through ther Duel Ring rather difficult, but it can be done ![]()
I do like your idea, though and am curious how feasible it is ![]()

On Xbox I always stopped leveling at lvl 5. I got the idea for this from the old forums (I think the character guide is on the forums now that I think about it) and it always worked out fine. I never tried not leveling at all on Taris.

Yea, I usually level a bit on Taris (4 ro 5), but I did a couple of "No Taris Leveling" characters ![]()

I've changed my mind and I'm now strongly considering trying the Jedi from the Beginning mod.
The YouTube video made me think it would be an awesome experience.
