"What we know about quiet is enough to know why she is dressed the way she is"? Mind sharing that with us Mundane Matt? Are we talking about an in-game story reason for why she dresses the way she does or was it merely to create outrage in the real world where people are getting upset because people wont conform and bow down to their personal preferences which somehow mirrors the theme in Phantom Pain? Not sure how "Octo Camo" disallows the user to wear clothes, if anything I though if you were to be using octo camo effectively you would need a full body suit of it?

 

But that being said I always assumed that the reason Quiet dresses the way she does is because it makes Kojima's willy feel nice? Not sure he really needs much more reason than that and I can totally respect Kojima for sticking to his artistic vision instead of caving to the demands of self righteous assholes who demand everything be done to appease them. Personally I am not a fan of Quiet's design and given the choice I will probably use an alternate outfit for her but I can respect Kojima's decision to do what he wants with his game.

Coldly as a person who makes stuff I can see how that's cool that he's made something slightly more realistic than it would have been before.

 

I have to say I can't relate to people who buy action figures as grown-ups (not judging) let alone people who would squeeze toy boobs (ok am judging a slight tiny bit), and I think that in general ZOMGOBJECTIFICATION people kind of seem tragic loonies looking to take offense intentionally.

I did and I found 3 theories

 

The first one was "because octo camo" which doesn't really make sense due to the fact that an octo camo suit should be a full body suit.

 

The second one is because she was tortured and even after being rescued it never occurred to her to put on a new outfit

 

The third one is because sex sells which I personally feel is the most plausible theory but it still does not explain any in-game story reasons she might have for dressing in such a manner.

She's empowered by wearing what she wants because of victim blaming in her past, and she's making a powerful statement to the world when she puts men down dressed as she likes.

 

Of course finding that out would be too much trouble for the kind of misogynistic swine who seek to control what a woman/female character is wearing, or enforce their own inferences about what her choice of clothes means.
