One of the major things that dominate ME3MP's meta is that of the ultra rare guns, guns that do more DPS than most instances of powers and rightfully so. They are hard to acquire and as such require lots of skill to obtain and use.. Yet, there's the problem of flamer, very much overpowered much like snap freeze, shockwave, and tactical cloak.
Flamer however makes the game harder to play for other people as it is very hard to play the game as intended using weapons if someone is obscuring view with a gout of fire that certainly doesn't help as much as concentrated firepower from glorious ultra rare weapons.
Flamer also seems to make PUGs blindly try to flame atlases, resulting in their near instantaneous demise. This also applies especially to banshees, space crab puppies from hell, and space ninjas.
If anything flamer has been to the detriment of ME3MP, and should have been a weapon known as the M-451.
That's just my opinion though. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong and I should lrn2play.
