I stupidly revive quite often and pay the price as a result.  I'm getting a bit better at it though.

If there are enemies attacking, I get tunnel vision. So if I don't pick you up I probably didn't notice you

- If it's safe to do so, do so.

- If there is only one person and it is not safe to do so (ran ahead, surrounded, ETC), get to them if and/or when it is safe to do so. Safety first!

- If there are multiple people and its safe to do so, first revive the person who can stand the most punishment or can supply a buff or diversion. Examples include Defensive Mages (Keeper, Virtuoso, Elementalists with Barrier), and tanks (Arcane Warrior, Katari, Legionniare.).

- If there are multiple people and it's not safe to do so, try reviving around a corner if you absolutely need to.

- If the wave is over and someone is down, use the door to revive them without it counting towards their revive count (unless they removed this)

- If everyone else is down and it is not safe to do so, retreat and find the person farthest away from the action. if you are low on health and cannot heal, go for the farthest person and try to revive with some form of cover. If you are a ranged fighter flee the zone as best as you can and attack from range until it is safe to move back in. Have your teammates follow after you as best as they can to reduce travel time and increase chances of revival.

- If you are down and you are not in a position to be revived safely, move to a location that either has cover from ranged attacks, or is a decent distance from the fighter and around a corner, to provide protection from both melee and ranged attackers (melees having to take a little more time to get to you due to the corner.)

- If there is a hole you can fall down and be teleported back to the zone start (Fereldan Castle Only) use it if you can reach it, otherwise see above.

- If you are about to go down and have access to DoT abilities that work after you go down, and you have passives or rings that give you health on a kill- get them ready! You can recover health and get back up! Characters like the Necromancer are great at this!

- Don't worry. Be Happy.

In case, like me, you read that and the whistling immediately started in your head, here you go:

And if your head is not buggered like mine is, enjoy the song anyway!

Reviving pugs? Clear the Zone and open the door. Safer for you and for the team.

Same here, kinda go into panic mode when players go down and then I want to help, but I'm getting more logical at when and where to do so,

still have problems though.

Most often it's those archers that really get me when I try to revive, I gotta remember to try to revive in cover

And then sometimes I get caught up in killing, especially when there's lot of mobs, and can't see the ppl (more so if they're in back of me). And then I feel terrible afterwards if it's too late.

Whoever crawls to me first :P

But seriously I rly don't pick one over other unless it's a tank. If I see someone go down I'll try to get them up. ;)

Trying to be a good guy got me killed more times than I care to count. I've stopped being so nice. Those people who down in front of a battery of archers...tough luck. In the end survival > revival so if trying to save you jeopardizes me and the mission, you are gonna watch from the fade.

I don't revive at the last room at all, rather open the door. If I have a mike I usually try and explain why I'm not being a jerk doing that. Shocked how many people don't know there is a revival limit.

I don't revive anyone who goes into a treasure room alone. You want to play with the Revenant....enjoy!

There are obviously priority players I will try and bring back if I have a choice. The "good" players usually don't get whacked but if they do I will push harder to bring them back than someone obviously out of their league.

People should not open a treasure room alone unless they are sure they can solo whats inside, kinda common sense.  Ialso dont rush to revive te guy who runs off ahead while rest of group are doing the treasure room.

Don't know of said but on road risking accident to post lol.

1: They do not escalate the threat level
And
2: Reviving them will not risk them fading faster
And
3: They are not trying to play Rambo COD Battlefield II
And
4: It will not be faster to kill remaining mobs and open door

Then I will revive if
1: Barrier is available
Or
2: Guard is up
Or
3: Threat level is low
Or
4: Just go for it

Certain friends take precedence of course ;)

Dear teammates, if a shadow kills me with the backstab attack and stealths again immediately, DON'T REVIVE ME! Find the shadow, kill it, then revive. Otherwise it will just kill one or both of us again.

Something to think about also when choosing to revive someone is not only, "Is it safe to pick this guy up", but "Is he just gonna die again".

I'd rather let someone who is just gonna die and use all of his "death chances" on the room 4 wave, just stay dead for room 4.

I'd rather that guy not go directly into the fade on room 5 due to too many previous deaths.

I've seen many dragon fails because of this. I believe if people hadn't of died so many times on the previous rooms and we let them stay down we could of gotten the dragon win.

I agree with you but, you've lost to dragons? They are so easy. Especially Frost

Yup, it happens. Happened a lot on my Legionnaire the first couple of days.

I don't use my Lego for the castle anymore, isn't worth trying to solo for 2 hours if the team goes down.

I don't wipe very often, but in some pug groups I do. I wiped the other day with a group of ranked players (names withheld), in our defense though, they were all level 1, with 1 level 5 archer, (1,1,5, 17) I was the only high level and I was on my archer. We got the dragon to about 15% health, it was a painful defeat. (Perilous difficulty)

Yeah I can see that.
Personally running my Lego if it was down to me on zone 3- early 4 I'd probably wipe purposefully. Not doing that 300 dmg per hit crap running infinite guard haha.

They have fixed this - door revivals count against you.

The only advantage of reviving someone at the door is to fully replenish his/her health.

However, if the team is going to use the font before proceeding to the next zone, you might as well revive the old fashioned way and pickup the extra XP.  Other team members can also get assist XP for simply being near a revived teammate.

Ahhh, didn't know that had changed. Good, albeit unfortunate, information.

They fixed that a while ago. With the font door not closing on Draco it can be beneficial still
