Welcome to dragon age to dragon age were the heros live long enough to become villain. This is not new to dragon age at all. Look at Logain, the hero of riverdain. He was the savior of fereldin and later became the villain. Even Merideth is like this.
Why the original "good" guys are becoming shitty hateful and dark?

Because Bioware is jumping on the "Morally grey/dark and edgy characters are cool" train and rarely ever have genuinely good characters anymore.

Alistair's behavior on the Silent Grove is more illogical than it often is, Yavana was far more kind with him than her mother and her sister were, and yes, she needed Calenhad's blood to awake the dragons, but you have to realize that she also had other ways to earn it, she's everything but stupid, so we can affirm that she chose to tell Alistair what she was looking for and offer her help in exchange rather than use any of those crappy ways to obtain his blood, and her reward for being kind and honest was death. This makes me regret that there is no canon way to kill that little bastard with your own hands.

Since the Blight ended Leliana has been doing Justina's dirty work, that's 10+ years of non stop lying, cheating and murder then the Divine and a lot of other people Leliana knows die horribly in a place considered sacred.
Leliana's reactions are understandable and while killing Maric was done out of mercy Alistar pretty much Murder Knife's Yavana because he's having a bad day.
Apparently I need to read these comics.

Yeah, it was a right horror show all around.

But again, she wanted to raise an army of dragons... no matter how honest and kind she was to him, that sounds incredibly dangerous and suspect?
Alistair is a former Templar, is suspicious of any magic that's not practiced outside of a Circle and likely fears the destruction that unleashing a horde of such beasts could cause to Thedas? Honestly, his reaction was pretty understandable all told and very much in-character for him?
Remeber when he fights Loghain in the duel and takes his head, without even accepting any kind of surrender and not even allowing Riordan to bring up the possibility of recruiting him? As well as how angry he is if during your duel, you accept his surrender, choose to spare Loghain and recruit him into the Warden's ranks? He rage-quits and then has a massive tirade at you later about it?
Alistair does have a ruthless, more dark side to him, that's not new. He's not always a cuddly teddy bear that likes cheese.

They've had genuinely good characters. Even now with their new attitude towards characters there is one or two genuinely good characters per game, but not nearly as much as there used to be.
So, how many genuinely good characters were potentially in the DAO party?

She is a bard, she was a bard in DAO.
Maybe naive back in Orlais when it came to Marjolaine, but not innocent.

Obviously being kind and honest spares you being manipulative. Or maybe not.
At times it works better than being a conniving *****.
"Oh, she's so nice and honest, and all she wants is to awaken a horde of rampaging dragons. How could I possibly say no to such kindness and truthfulness?"

My main reason for not killing Loghain when I play a goody Warden. Beheading her father in front of her, having her sprayed with his blood? No. And that's what upset me about Alistair too. He was not in his right mind at that moment. A proper execution after the Archdemon battle would have been the better option.

I concur, Wynne and the Dog are the only true goods characters in Origins.
The rest of them have killed a lot of people. Not counting Darkspawn, by the end of the game your parties death toll for human(oid) enemies alone is probably the equal or greater to size of most of small villages in Ferelden? We've probably done just as much to depopulate Ferelden as the horde?

At least we were depopulating the scum of Ferelden, unless you had a stabbity happy Warden.

Unless if his dismissal was approved by the Order or Chantry he deserted.
That's a punishable crime.
You're a bad man.o...o I'd have stuck his head on Alistair's corpse.
Splattering her in his blood in the process.
We're talking about how not-nice it was for Alistair to decapitate Loghain in front of his daughter.
Just brilliant, Alistair.
