Well, this has come to be a sandstorm, isn't it? That master warden z is kind of trying to insult or say that is nice to kill everything the others mention, even a mabari? i didn't see that one coming.

It's okay. Warder is about as threatening as a leaf.

:P

The whole concept of characters 'hardening,' as in bad, pragmatic characters are 'hardened' and good naive characters are 'soft,' and that guiding a character along the right path means convincing them to 'soften their heart to the world' or something of the sort is inanely idiotic.

When dealing with people like Leliana in Inquisition, both in fiction and real life, the very last thing they need is some sycophant whimpering to them "I know it's hard...but you just need to have faith in the world...please, please do the right thing."

What should have happened is the Inquisitor getting in her face, grabbing her by the chin and commanding her "You'll follow my orders to the letter, and my orders are that we don't do this. If such a task is beyond your competence, I would happy to find you a position more suited to your abilities. You can serve the Inquisition by scrubbing floors. Am I understood?"

Because the fans love to see the downfall of the once pure, perfect white knight in shining armour.

After witnessing so much injustice in the world, the nice guys lose their innocence and toughen up, becoming taciturn bringers of justice in a world gone mad and decadent.

A regular girl would end up pepper spraying you or kicking you in the balls

But Leliana would end up stabbing you or cutting "something" off  :P

Well, she's a female character. It probably wouldn't be wise to have the likely-male protagonist crack her across the face like Shepard does to Zaeed. People tend to get antsy about that sort of thing. Not like she's being obnoxious like the reporter lady.

Is grabbing her by the chin not an acceptable thing?

It's weird among other things.

With Leli, it's asking for death. :P

Uh-huh. Okay.

Feel free to replace it with whatever intimidation gesture floats your boat. As long as the Inquisitor is making it clear who's in charge.

And even aside from that, attempting to establish dominance over Leliana via force, aggression or violence is really only ever going to get your throat slit.

You grab her chin and she grabs your d_ck and balls and squeezes them so hard you'll be speaking in falsetto for months.

I dunno when or why do you think it has become a fetish? but if you dislike that much, then i'm curious why you play a game called dragon age or why you still posting here?

Because it's fun killing dragons.

OASN Just because it's called Dragon Age, doesn't mean it revolves around dragons only. Some people saw a dragon and the Divine at that time decided to name it the Dragon Age. The game is more than just blindly worshiping dragons because they're cool and stuff.

And I don't see why my lack of interest in unleashing dangerous dragons that only cause mayhem in their wake gets you all upset.

You can't predict which way a liquid is going to spatter, he can't be blamed for that.

Sorry, missed this.

He could've maybe moved the execution ten feet or so.

Nobody mentioning how Anora just morbidly stood there one swing of a sword away from her father?

Besides, that dress was ugly.

It's called "trying to reason with them" or alternatively diplomacy.

Yeah no.

I think that no one has suggested that they will be all turned into lovely kittens, they are clever enough to have a Queen (no, they don't act like bugs) so, just like any other intelligent being, they may have douchebags among them, and I take that "killing them it's fun" is killing them after fighting them, right? I just don't find the fun on killing them while they are sleeping.

I respect your viewpoint of dragons, you are saying that it has upset some people, excuse me, maybe I am wrong, but didn't you tried to troll me first? When I said that Yavana seemed kind and honest to me?

I wasn't trolling you.

To me Yavana seemed manipulative. She was one of Flemeth's daughters, so I understood why Alistair acted like a douche and ran his sword through her.

But who knows what Flemeth has planed, and after meeting her in the Fade and going all "I want revenege" on you, I find the idea of waking the dragons to be a very bad idea.
