Combat is so... Clean and sanitary. Inoffensive and happy.

I'm still trying to comprehend how Disney equates to child-friendly and bubbly bright with no mature content like some people are saying. It's like "family-friendly" is the same as "for children ages 6+", totally ignoring that adults tend to be a part of families as well.

Pulp Fiction was distributed by Miramax, which is a subsidiary of Disney. Thus, one could argue that Pulp Fiction (AKA the movie where Bruce Willis is gagged and sexually assaulted by a man in a gimp suit and Ving Rhames is raped by that same gimp) is a Disney movie, at least by association. Likewise, Marvel is owned by Disney. Thus, one can argue that the Daredevil series on Netflix (AKA the show where Vincent d'Onofrio decapitates Gideon Emery with a car door) is a Disney series. Because gimp suits, rape, and decapitation are all bubbly bright and child-friendly.

Obviously there is too much color in those movies, I only watch black and white movies for someone as hardcore as myself.

I should replay that game sometime. Just seeing that trailer reminds me of how awesome that game is.

I'm replaying it now... pretty amazed actually how well it holds up.

DW Rogues also feel very weak and the daggers felt as if I was striking air rather than an opponent.

When the hell did rogues become magic users anyway?

What, stabbing a guy and skills like riposte and flurry weren't flashy enough? Cloak is actual invisibility now?

When they learned the secrets of alchemy. Tempest is really fun.

Nope.

Cloak is actual invisibility now?

Since you can still see her, I'm confused by your definition of actual invisibility.

I thought it started back when the Warden could summon a bear in the middle of Denerim or stand perfectly still while being attacked from all sides and never getting hit?

...Maybe that too.

I always found Momentum's animation in Origins funny, too. Like your character was constantly drinking magic Red Bulls.

Never played a Ranger, but that Mark of Death and the various songs smacks of enchantment. But I still adore DAO > DAI > DA2, and enjoy all of them.

Or when bards used the power of song to inspire allies and paralyze enemies. And they say DA:I is the Disney one.

With pinkish purple sparkles!  I was one of the thousands of people lucky enough to mod that removed those.  I also loved how a lot of different buffs in Origins came with it's own set of annoying rainbow colors.

The combat is more like a skittle fest. So much random colours, my eyes start to hurt.

Someone didn't use any of the sustained abilities in dao.

The sustained abilities were annoying, true... but in DAI it's everything. You can't even charge a guy without creating a magical windtunnel.

Sure you can; simply do not use a spectacular ability to do it. My Mage KE forgoes Fade Step for Fade Cloak, and manages to close easily enough when desired. Thankfully, this build is made to stay at range for the most part, and generally closes to support others or avoid wing buffets.

I'm pretty sure a lot of what's going on is because of something added to the daggers through the masterwork slot. It seems like it has hidden blades on hit, since that's a tempest rogue, though Tempest's alchemical shenanigans makes them explosive and flashy anyhow.

Again, that isn't anything new to the series.

That is indeed a Hidden Blades masterwork. The actual DW rogue abilities I'm using (Twin Fangs, Deathblow, Parry, Flank Attack) don't have any bright or flashy colors. And Ice Flask has (SHOCKING) ice-colored ice when it freezes.

How did you get masterwork in multiplayer? did they up the RNG of relevant items now? I spent 3 weeks and at best got an Ilevel 22 dagger :/

Naw those gifs are from SP. I don't think MP has masterwork slots, but I could be mistaken.

They have improved the loot you get from chests a bit, though it's still a crapshoot, more or less.

It isn't. The oddest criticism to me is the stealth mechanic. The only thing that's changed is the way it looks from the player's perspective, but the effect is identical. Rogues in Origins would literally appear out of thin air. When I played the Darkspawn Chronicles, Zevran did the same thing when I was trying to burn down the tree lol.

So they had a warcraft like animation where the rogue stabbed a target from 6 different angles in rapid succession teleporting out of thin air? Alchemical damage that did more than the DAO wizard's meteor? I really should try DAO again..

Eh, all three games have their variety of weirdness that would be physically impossible for a human being, so I don't really put too much thought into it.

I concede to that indeed, heh, I mean.. I think in DAO and DAI, I can chop off a dragon's head with a mace. :o What!?
