He got codex entry in DAI.. but I really hope we see him in future games.

The Architect is one of my favorite characters in the franchise so I'm hoping but doubting as well.

That anyone still speculates over the Architect being a former magister is beyond me? Of course he is, just like Cory was.

In DA2 people were incredibly adamant that Corypheus didn't survive legacy. It's not at all surprising people think the Architect is just a darkspawn.

It's same for me. I just hope we will get something with him in the future, it would be shame if his story ended with DA:A.

It's possible he could have taken a Corypheus style mulligan. It's not like the Warden and co hung around to make sure he stayed dead at the end of Awakening. If he has the cheat death power too (and it stands to reason that he does if he is one of the original magisters), it's not inconceivable he could have a surprise reappearance, although pulling the "Darkspawn magister returns from the dead" gimmick twice might be pushing it.

It seems a shame that such a potentially interesting character as The Architect only got to feature in an expansion. Pity most people killed him off.

It is sad that he only got featured in an expansion, but I totally killed him though lol

I don't make deals with darkspawn, nor do I want the darkspawn to someday invade the dwarves and the surface because they can think for themselves now.

If a dlc character can make it to the main game surely a expansion character could play a important role in the future. plus he did keep that one blighted elf around in the background maybe as a safety measure.

It wouldn't actually be pushing it if every Magister was capable of doing it, every Archdemon can technically do it

DA2-era Cory is dead, Alistair/Fiona truthers, Everybody is Fen'Harel etc.

I wonder if the deeproads-centered dlc will feature one of the other 7 magisters?

At this point it may as well be tradition. DAO had Architect, DA2 had corypheus

The true and hidden ending is Corypheus unzipping his entire body to reveal he was actually Wynne all along who faked her own death.

That would be interesting. I wonder which they would choose in that case.

Well we know at least one of them was eaten by the others after an argument.

If they all have the body hopping, that doesn't mean much. I've heard theories that the one that got eaten was the Architect, and that's why his memory is particularly poor, but they're just theories.

Wasn't he given the name Architect by the darkspawn? Isn't that a common designation among them? The Lost, The Disciple, The Mother, asf.

And wasn't the name given because of his purpose? To be the Architect of their future, building order from chaos, bringing structure where there's only death and destruction?

(I don't even know why it's the Architect. An Architect devotes himself to build a construction. He should be named The Social Engineer, or something similar.)

No, The Architect was already called thus during "The Calling" before there were Awakened Darkspawn and his plans were others.

The Awakened Darkspawn gave themselves those titles because the unique being that had given them sentience called itself by a title.

According to the Chant of Light, the Architect was the title of the archpriest of Urthemiel, the god of beauty and he was named so because it was his job to oversee the creation of every work and wonder of the Empirium in a way that was beautiful.

Yeah, I know. But I'm pretty sure the name is a darkpawn designation.

It could be derived from his original title as a Magister, but I'll wait to see definitive proof of that.

He's an artist. A title that's more metaphor than accurate is pretty par for the course.

It has been confirmed by David Gaider, I believe. That the Architect was a Tevinter Magister, I mean. :)

Given this, I have to wonder why the continued debate? We have word of God that he is one. We have no idea if he has the same abilities as Cory, so we have no idea if those of us that killed him actually got the job done, but we can have no doubt that he is a Magister.

Maybe Velenna's (mispelled probably) sister who never appeared beside the Architect in the final battle, had the taint and was close by, and the Architect body jumped to them?

Although that would be annoying to have to deal with that scenario again.

Gaider worded it vaguely. The Architect is "the same sort of creature" as Corypheus. That could mean many things, including that the Architect is a magister like Cory.

It means he's a changed magister. There's no possible reasonable alternative explanation.

What else is Corypheus at this point other then a old blighted magister? i am sure DG did not mean mage or darkspawn because that's pointing out the obvious which the question was not a obvious one. And if there is denial in those words then surely WOT V2 backs up the claim. So far we have more references He is then he isn't.
