Something Cassandra said to Lavellan at Haven has me scratching my head.

Was she referring to the clan's proximity to Mage/Templar battlegrounds up in the Free Marches? The implication felt tremendous, but as is always the case with DAI's approach to the four backgrounds, very vague indeed.

Well they are dalish...
They have tendency towards mass suicide.
Clan Lavellan being a perfect snowflake, however, I think we're good on this one.

Murdering a whole Dalish clan is a tradition by now , no Dalish clans is that special....
The good news is it doesn't have to happen , the bad news is it's getting harder to not kill a clan .

They're Dalish, don't they fall over dead if you look at them the wrong way?

Since she mentions that she's not read half of the intelligence reports on the Inquisitor that Leliana has, I figured that she had assumed that Lavellan had companions who died in the blast and that their clan might have been close to the Conclave when the blast happened, rather than Lavellan being actually sent to the Conclave by themselves?
It's not that unfair of an assumption to make since the Dalish rarely travel alone?
Lavellan's actually the only one who travelled there alone, the other potential Inquisitors were all sent as part of a group; Cadash was apparently there with other Carta dwarves, Adaar was hired with some other mercs as a bouncer and Trevelyan either was part of the chantry or mage delegations?

Spoiler?
That's also my best bet. Weird though, nobody ever comments on war table missions. If anything, only the advisors and in the war room. And even that hardly ever happens.
