Hello everyone! First, I would like to apologize in advance for any grammar error in the following text; English is not my native language.

I am here to present you the second season of our multiplayer tournament. Season 1 seems to have pleased the participants, and we thought that a second one would be a good idea. After all, what better way to wait for ME4 than to (re)discover the pleasure of headshotting Husks and slaughtering Phantoms?

1. General information

  • This tournament is open to players of all platforms: PC, PS3, X360 and possibly WiiU if there are enough players to make a team.
  • This tournament is also open to players of all countries and nationalities. The only requirement is to speak or understand English well enough to communicate with your teammates, or at least with the staff if you share a language with all your teammates.
  • It will take place during the month of July 2015, starting on July, 5th and ending on August, 2nd (both Sundays). It will last for four weeks, with four rounds of 1 week each.
  • Each team will include 4 players with 1 substitute. This means that all rounds will be played with 3 players on the field.
  • Each team will need a name and a sigil to represent it. If you know someone skilled with Photoshop, it’s time to use your natural skills, whether you favor Charm or Intimidate. Teams that played during Season 1 can use the same sigil again.
  • There will be 2 sections : Spectre (for the competitive players) and N7 (for players who just want to have some fun). You may participate in both sections if you wish to.

2. Detailed information

Spectre section

  • For competitive players
  • 4 teams may participate, no more.  However, if significantly more than 16 players (or 4 teams) ask for registration, we will find a solution so that everyone can be a part of the tournament.
  • The teams will not be randomly drawn. You do not have to have a full team of four players to register (even if it is also possible), once the registrations are complete, the spares and incomplete teams may decide who plays with whom.
  • 2 types of rounds, that will be as such:
  • Round 1 (Week 1): Speedrun (best possible time) – Gold difficulty
  • Round 2 (Week 2): Highest score – Gold difficulty
  • Round 3 (Week 3): Speedrun – Platinum difficulty
  • Round 4 (Week 4): Highest score – Platinum difficulty
  • Rounds 1 and 2 will be used to seed the teams from 1 to 4
  • Round 3 will be the semifinals, with two duels: #1 vs #4 and #2 vs #3
  • Round 4 will be the finals, with a 3rd place Finals between the losers of the semifinals and Grand Finals to determine the winner

N7 section

  • For players who are here to have fun
  • No limitations in the number of teams and players
  • You may come with a full team, create a team with other registered members, or ask for your team to be randomly drawn. As you prefer! You will have to indicate which one you prefer when you register. You should also indicate your time zone, especially if you wish to be in a random team.
  • The rounds will be as such:
  • Round 1 (Week 1): Lowest score – Silver difficulty
  • Round 2 (Week 2): Speedrun with randomly drawn builds – Silver difficulty
  • Round 3 (Week 3): Lowest possible number of medals – Gold difficulty
  • Round 4 (Week 4): Highest score, with one player being switched with another team - Gold difficulty
  • No elimination, all teams will compete for the win up to the last round.

Other information

  • The way the scores are calculated will be presented in June, for both sections. The principle is that getting some specific medals (like 75 kills with a type of weapon, or surviving 10 waves without going down for example) will award your team some bonus points.

  • The results of each round have to be sent to the staff through a screenshot. More information on the way(s) to do it when you are not a PC player will come later.

  • This tournament is created and managed by Etision (Origin ID: Etision_FR). If you have any question, you may ask them here, or PM me or Etision (B1B1). You may also register on the Mass Effect Saga forum (http://www.masseffectsaga.com/forum/ - it is in French) and use the PM system (“ Messagerie” in the top bar) to contact him (ID : Etision) or me (ID : Sinek). If necessary, you may also add me on Origin (ID : MES_Sinekk), but do not try to do that with Etision, his friend list is full. I will relay him any relevant information found here, and edit this post with everything new about the tournament.

Thanks for your attention, and I hope many of you will be interested in participating! Do not hesitate to ask any question you may have on how the tournament works in this thread, or by sending me a PM!

To improve clarity, most of the discussions on the tournament will take place here. All recaps on registries will take place there.

However, I will check this thread once in a while to see if someone answers here.
