@Heldarion: It is a work in progress, really. Recording entire games can be rather difficult for the teams and for the staff who will have to rewatch everything before calculating the scores.

Typically, rounds during last tournament lasted from Sunday to Sunday, with a deadline around 7PM in France (it will probably be changed here if we get more than a few North American players, so they also get some time on Sunday afternoon). Results came quickly afterwards, because everything was done through screenshots. With complete replays, there would probably be a 24 hours-long delay before the results of the round are announced, so it would require some organization changes, especially between rounds 2 and 3 (since the semifinals require to know the seeds).

If Etision gets help to control that all Spectre replays respect the rules, then I guess it could be done. But all Spectre teams would require one player at least who knows how to record and upload the game while keeping it private (on YT, any opponent team could check it for strategies if it is uploaded before the deadline).

Last tournament worked on trust, there was no way to ensure teams played with the original Coalesced. The N7 tournament will probably work this way too, and we are thinking about how to do about Spectres. There will be further thoughts on that matter when the complete rules will be announced (in the beginning of June) - we will probably need to ask for the knowledge of skilled PS3 & XBOX players at that time, because Etision, filippo (who also helps in the organization) and I all are PC players only.


@the number of French players...well, the idea of the tournament originated in a French TeamSpeak community, so this explains that. However, you are free to call for Mumble/TS pals from all yout countries and go all Captain Patriotic in your team! After all, there will be no shame if French people lose a war, but I am not sure it is the same everywhere...

And the reason of this, is that i'm french, and i'm in french communty of a ME3 players. And before to propose you this tournament, we've made the first season of it and this was with the people of this community.

 

And it's easly for me to said them how will be this tournament.

Blatant "can't shut up about murrica because **** the internet and people existing from other countries" aside, I'm actually part-french, myself. But I'm so rusty I sometimes forget words like "munitions" and say things to french allies like "Je ne peux plus tirer mon fusil, j'en ai besoin de le remplir." ("I can no longer pull my gun, I need to refill it.") It's pretty fun. I PUG with french randoms quite a bit, in fact.

Well, if a player has a Twitch channnel, s/he is welcome to share the url of his/her vids and show his/her games! That could indeed be a nice occasion to see good players at work, as long as they are not afraid to share their strategies.

I don't care what country you're from, honestly. Just need chill teammates, that is all. Not sure what section I will apply for. Depends on who want to team up with me.
