Hello Bioware Community and Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening

I have been holding off on buying Dragon Age: Inquisition until such time as we can choose to wear a different garment from the typical white silk shirt we get while walking around Skyhold Keep. I know this may sound unreasonable, but considering we spend a lot of time wandering around our base and talking with npcs I feel as though players have been short-ended in this matter. Back in Mass Effect 2 we had a plethora of outfits to choose from when walking around our ship, even getting a swanky new space tuxedo from the Stolen Memory DLC with Kasumi. These clothing articles had a big impact on our perception of various cutscenes throughout the game that took place on the ship, an aspect that seems to be lacking in Inquisition

I know that there is a reason why we did not get more outfits for such, as unlike Mass Effect the dev team had to deal with four races and two different body types for each. This means that they would basically have to make 8 different outfits for a single selection. But I believe that it would be worth the effort, and I certainly would reward that effort by paying for such a dlc (much as I hate to admit it).

What do you guys think, would you like a clothing pack dlc? Would you be willing to pay for it?

Keep it spoiler friendly please.

Yes I would like a clothing pack and would happily pay for one, preferably one that deals with male elf arms and body.

Because this is unacceptable.

See? It's the shoulders. They're so thin.

I don't know what the problem is, all I know is the body is hideous. I would gladly pay for them to either fix it or release armors to hide it.

I think a good coat of fine fur could obscure how lanky male elves look, don't you think?

At this point I'd take anything.

It's the body itself that's broken for male elves. It's not just them being thin. Female elves are thin too but at least their body doesn't look broken.

Perhaps a reskin of the River Dane armour from DA2, perhaps in black with the Inquisition logo in the centre?

Or give us a toggle so we can wear our armour again at Skyhold?

A toggle for armor would make a lot of sense considering that a lot of the mage and rogue armor looks pretty casual already. Would be odd trudging around home in steel half-plate though.

If they had a toggle, I know the warrior coats aren't popular in some quarters (I actually kinda like them) but that's probably a casual-ish look for Skyhold? I could handle swapping over in my inventory from heavy-plate armour that I wear in the field, to an armoured coat that has no function other than for my to look good in when I'm wandering around my castle and judging people?

Even the formal outfit would be better than the pj's at least, right?

Of course, but that is not saying much I imagine. Always struck me as odd that they did not make the formal outfit an option for the keep, even if it is a bit stiff looking.

In all truthfullness, both look like ****. And it's not that they can't fix it, they have Sera's body mesh and Solas's body mesh right there. So, I can't fathom what the holdup might be.  It's not as if people are asking for Conan the Barbarians here....

Cause Cassandra can casually walk around in half plate, and Leliana in arm and leg full ironclad leather. But not the Inquisitor. Has to wear pyjamas with bronze torques. Right.

[Insert hysterical laugh here]

Do you know how long people have been pleading with Bioware about these ridiculous pyjamas? Since before the game was even released!

And you know what their official response is? Absolute silence.

It will never be fixed.

There are plenty of mods that can provide a change of Skyhold clothes. I suggest you download one. It seems a bit of a waste of dev's time to demand this as a DLC.

And if you can't mod the game because you have bought it on console, well, then you have already shown a complete lack of taste so can't really complain...

Skyhold clothing mods change the texture (coloring and pattern) of the garments, but they don't change the mesh (shape), so it isn't going to change the character's Skyhold silhouette.  Male elves are always going to look like undercooked bratwurst in their pale, airbrushed-on Skhyold outfits.

I'd definitely be willing to pay for a clothing DLC, but something which lets you wear clothes or armour over the pyjamas, not just a recolour/retexture option. The skin tight look is extremely unappealing to be honest.

True. Both Sera and Solas have great body meshes without them being as muscular as the human bodies.

They have so many broken things that they need to fix its not even funny, but you'd think they'd at least fixed the elf body. Holy crap its been half a year!

Your PJs are white silk? Mine are grey/beige leather.

At any rate - I would pay for some clothing changes too. I don't play on PC so cant use mods... In fact, like I said in another thread I would donate $$$ to the charity of Bioware's choice  or to a crowd source campaign to see some decent hairstyles and clothes.
