Aren't slaves that are found out to be mages automatically freed though?
No. Being a mage doesn't exempt you from slavery in the Tevinter Imperium. Calpernia was a very talented mage and she was a a slave.
If it's going to be set in Tevinter, it would be nice to have a pro-Tevinter option for a change.
What does "pro-Tevinter" mean, though? Believing that things are perfect? Dorian is pro-Tevinter - he loves his homeland - and he recognizes that it needs to change.
