It's certainly all off-topic can talk about nowadays, though I think their (whoever "they" even are) impact on society is being greatly exaggerated. And hey... it's you again. Why you keep leaving? Then coming back a day or two later.

I thought it was time to create a new account and clean up some of my sh*t posts.

Greek Mythology is full of rape, and death, and suicide, and weird gay butt stuff ((seriously, philosophical discussions involved getting wasted, locking all the women-folk upstairs, and having an orgy with 12 year old boys before discussing whether sex was a physical or metaphysical concept in the afterglow. Its' goddamn gross.))

A heads up is all you really need that "Hey, stuffs about to get weird." Not a goddamn Health Advisory like this were some seizure inducing anime episode.

I'm more curious what field these people take to never have studied works of philosophy, history, politics, or art before. Everything of life, especially if its pre-1900's and not from the United Kingdoms of American States, is probably gonna have some fucked up events, facts, or content. Figured they'd be up in arms demanding slavery be renamed something else more positive and that segregation or the holocaust be skipped in fear of triggering people who suffered racial discrimination.

Probably Interior Design. Or Audio Technician.

Reminds me of that lady who claimed to get PTSD from twitter comments. That one was classic.

That lady? You mean Melony Hensley?

Well, welcome back in any case.

Thank you, but I really didn't leave. Just spent a day lurking as I contemplated what my next account handle would be.

I'd cut out reflection and put shadow and say "FTFY", but then I realized someone probably has been triggered by her own shadow.

That's pretty much what Groundhog Day is all about.

Why can't these people be sent to salt mines and forgotten about?

Yeah, but imagine if there were a cave in and they developed a society underground.

What I find most concerning is that other SJWs have used it in part of a push to make "triggering" content optional. I honestly don't care too much if they want trigger warnings. But the thing about SJWs is that nothing appeases them. Literally skipping and passing classes because the course material is too "scary".

What a disgrace.

They should just make a "special snowflake" degree and be done with it.

In retrospect a society like that makes the Morlocks from The Time Machine seem less horrifying. Maybe even the Crawlers from The Descent too.

I'm genuinely terrified by the fact that people don't know what censorship means.

Limiting access to material, or asking for it to be labeled "offensive" is censorship.

Labeling something as "dangerous" or "inappropriate" is a form of censorship, much in the same way that, in the U.S. for example, films which contained heterosexual sex scenes would be rated "R" while movies containing homosexual sex scenes would be rated "NC-17." That went on for years, and is arguably still an issue.

Nope.

This, is what they're doing with trigger warnings. Using them as a means of phasing out "triggering material" from the curriculum, and eventually, circulation if nobody stops them.

^ Also, what he said.

They aren't asking for some simple label, and calling it a day. They're asking for the curriculum to be changed, and for students to have the right to skip classes that contain subjects that they find offensive.

It would appear that we aren't the ones who don't know what censorship is.

Why can't these people be sent to salt mines and forgotten about?

Because they produce so much salt per post that the miners wouldn't be able to keep up, and salt prices would plummet world wide as supply far outstretched demand, causing a massive economic crash the likes of which the fast food and sweatpants industry would never recover from.

If people want to give trigger warnings themselves, I have nothing against it. Extra Credits (youtube channel) gives out four second trigger warnings which are hardly intrusive. However, demanding that everyone should hand them out is boldly entitled.

What you're learning about was made up by people living BCE. Of course it isn't going to be PG. University students should know this.

They wouldn't be strong enough to do that, they'd just scream at us from inside the darkness about our "Vitamin D privilege"

Well Bioware should put trigger warnings on all the games they put out. Judging by the reactions on the BSN a lot of people have been reliving some form of  (PTS) D.

I don't what the f*ck happened to our universities but it needs to be fixed before we unleash an army of butthurt p*ssies into the world.

We need to purge them.
