I love this upgrade... but it kind of indirectly nerfs all the dragon weapons (except the maul).

I don't feel any strong compulsion to farm the dragon weapons anymore knowing that I can upgrade the 'classical' ones to be even better.

That's what I was thinking. This is especially true for the Longsword of the Dragon. My wife now has 29% Heal on Kill, just from her Caliban. Factor in her two Superb Rings of Life Drain and...ew. I am so jelly of her right now; I'd likely be as delicious as a jam-filled doughnut.

I think the Dragon weapons still have the point of having a higher drop chance than going your blessed by the chest gods. So they at least have that.

No real reason to stack HoK like that, she could be building for +attack% instead.

Well now my PBTM bow has +48% crit chance, which will hopefully be helpful. :)

I know a harder difficulty level is coming, but cringe at the thought that it will be 5x harder than perilous.

A little off topic, but please don't make a difficulty level that implicitly requires 100/100/100 stats just for entry.

We would all like to participate and have fun in whatever new content your provide...

I might pitch in to say you will get much more mileage out of a new type of game mode (ie horde mode) than you would out of just cut and paste another difficulty tier.

I made some mods for my Fury of the Veil.  The grip was 18% critical damage, 5 willpower and the blade was 18% crit damage and 5 attack.  My cunning score is only 24, would it be better to just try and stack as much attack as possible?  Or willpower?

@Luke, How about adding Armor Upgrade schematics too?

Would totally love some Ranged defense boots and/or gloves on a few characters! :D

Awesome with the new schematics. Crafted a heal on kill + 5% attack for my Dwarven axe thingy. Game changer right there.

Don't feel like a burden as the templar so much.

The schematics are for only crit chance I didn't see crit dmg, so I assumed you met crit chance, I could be wrong though.

14/2 so you have  7% crit chance. If you could double your crit chance to 14% that would be enough to start seeing a postive change in overall dmg.

36%+ 7% = 42%, the game rounds downs for some reason on upgrades so it could be 35% showing on staff. Just get an artificial 50%. The downside is losing all the potential HoK, will power can come later as promotions.

Anyway, how are you getting 18% on staff, iirc I was only able to get 11% on each, I'll have to log later on to check.

No, I meant crit damage.  Depending on what leather you use, you either get crit chance or crit damage.

Your crit chance is kind of low at 24 cunning. I would forego crit damage until you get your crit chance up past 30 or so. Just think that if your crit chance is 12%, you are only getting 12% of the value of your total crit damage.

Forgot to mention, I have a Superb LifeDrain ring, but the only other rings I have are enhanced versions of attack (5%), crit chance (5%), crit damage (10%) and a superb sundering one.  I have the HoK ring on nearly every character, is it worthwhile to stack a bunch more on the staff even with that?

Maybe I will just redo mods for attack or willpower or something.

Hey all, first post here! Finally got on the forums to engage in the madness muwhahaha!

Question: anyone else notice there is only one option for a T3 dagger grip schematic? A metal utility of all things... I want my leather crit!

After upgrading other weapons there was definitely 2 or more variations of each tier.

Is this an oversight? Or a punishment? ;)

I'm on PC btw.

I noticed here(PS4) as well, not pleased either.

So that's cool.  Now to get a weapon worth a crap.

Even more important is that you're not making best use of on-crit passives for cooldown reduction, stamina regeneration, sunder, weakening, and other things like that.

This is on a staff.  The only critical passive on a mage I can think of off-hand is flashpoint.  I will probably go with attack magic or willpower when I redo the mods.

I did pure crit chance for a grip on PBTM (so +48% total).  Haven't crafted any tier 3 mods for one or two handed weapons yet.  Although both the longswords I have currently don't take mods (dwarven longsword and emperor guard).

I'm liking these Tier 3 schematics. Suddenly Rendors Blade is a viable Perilous weapon and the Hossberg Twainer has become an even more bad ass axe.

Crafted a Tier 3 dense dual blade grip and it is not letting me add it to Wicked Grace.  Any reason?  Do only Dragon Weapons take Tier 3?

That's because WG is not a dual blade (aoe damage). There are two types of daggers, the other is single-blade (no aoe), and you crafted the wrong grip for WG.

Ugh!  SMH.  Thanks Drasca.  Wasn't even looking at that was just looking at the Tier 3 grip with the most Leather.   :o

One day I might even have enough Imperial Cotton to craft a T3 schematic worthy of its grandeur, and then find a T3 Dagger deserving of such a boon.
