 I was playing with some friends on silver/Cerberus/condor and all enemies were (to me) invisible,with no enemy sounds and there were no hit boxes on them and I had very low Aggro and couldn't take cover (it pushed me back out as soon as i tried to use it). I spent the whole match as a turian ghost running around reviving teammates while getting shot. We did, however get to wave nine. All in all, it was a cluster-fudge.

 

And then there are the occasional invisible banshees that give out free high fives to the gut.

The other day I was playing Reapers and something weird happened to a Cannibal that died while climbing a ladder (on Ghost)- he turned into the living dead; he had a HP bar, but it was empty, (although at one point he regenerated a single bar of armor- on a Cannibal!) and he would move around and you could shoot him but he wouldn't die, thankfully it wasn't counting him as an enemy on the map (i.e. the wave would finish even though he was still meandering about) so it didn't screw the match over. Very strange, hadn't seen that one before.

I quit for the day after that match.

 

Also the cockroach shuttle didn't take off.

 

According to my friends (they had mics) I was running through phantoms and Atlases.

The cover-thing, the shuttle-not-going-anywhere-thing (and not being able to climb the ladder) usually happen, when the host resides on Neptune, or has dial-up connection.

Thirdly, I've been trying like 10 motherf*cking times to even pick a damn character without having to disconnect. That's my mishap. With every other game, I can connect fine. This one? nope. I just want to unretire, but biower's making it really hard for me to do so.

 

 I am no stim pack abuser.

Its cool man play whatever difficulty and kit you want to, just know that BSN will not be kind to you for it. I wouldnt care as long as you dont overload F'N armor

OP, as BF says, you will take flak for anything you do or say. Play Silver, you'll get lolsilver and L2P. Play Gold with a weak manifest and you'll be told that you should go back to Silver. Play the TGI and you'll be marked for using an OP kit. Etc. Don't let it bother you.

 

The glitches in the game are part of the landscape, most long term players treat them in the same way one would when spotting butterflies. "Oh, I finally saw a lesser spotted monarch Hunter frozen under the floor!" kind of thing.

 

As for Overload, if I have multiple Chain Overload specced, I'm gonna overload every damn thing, because those Cannibals near that Brute are gonna die as a freebie in a few casts.

No criticism of your manifest intended. I was using the impersonal "you", as in "one will take flak for...."

 

You (direct 2nd person usage) seem to have more than enough stuff to play the game effectively.

It's just that for me:

bronze = no effort

Silver = easy

gold = very hard

 

 

Especially right now on gold/Cerberus/jade there is a Lvl10 geth trooper that keeps getting killed.

Doesn't stop me from having a jolly good time on Gold. Seven games in, I've already had to carry the team twice! Of my five or so consumables, three are Explosive rounds I think. (I'm on an alt though so not a big deal.)

 

Like Marksmad says, play whatever you want, it's the only way to learn after all.

 

Speaking of mishaps, had a Banshee got stuck in a wall on White the other day, never seen that before. Smaller unites yes, but never bosses. I could hear her and spent a long while looking for her ... Luckily a missile to the wall fixed things and we had no probs after that.

Looking at your manifest more carefully, I am struck by the fact that you are VERY low on consumables. Like, ONE medi-gel

 

To make Gold a little easier, you need to use well-built level 20 characters with decent weapons and good consumables. I'd suspect that you've been putting all your credits into unlocking gear and weapons and neglecting consumables. So I'd strongly suggest playing some more Silver and spending all the credits on a few JEPs so that you can go into Gold with at least level II stuff like Cyclonics, ammo, and weapon amps.

^ Buying one Jumbo Pack for 33k gives you 5 each of Missiles, Gel, Ops Packs, and Clip Packs.  That's 20 consumables for 33k, or 1,650 credits per consumable.

 

Buying one Spectre Pack for 60k gives you 5 of one random type of consumable.  That's 5 consumables for 60k, or 12,000 credits per consumable.

 

Buying one Premium Spectre Pack for 99k gives you 5 of one random type of consumable.  That's 5 consumables for 99k, or 19,800 credits per consumable.

 

Stop buying Spectre and Premium Spectre Packs until you get more consumables; preferably max them out so they come off the drop table altogether.  Then you will get more Rail Amps instead, but that's a whole other set of price analysii.

I had one that had health regeneration three times faster than a Krolord. Impossible to kill with weapons therefore I shot a missile at it. Didn't even realize he was glitched until I shot at him a couple of times and noticed he wasn't taking very much damage at all and kept regenerating.
