And thus, IMO, very boring. I know there is some later armors and upgrades to them so one can make them look kinda nice.

But when I stand there with my coat one and next to me is Cassandra with her plate and coat I feel like: She can wear the coolest armor, and the only thing I have to wear is like a lumberjack outfit. yeah it's practical, and comfy. But it's also not real life, it's virtual and thus I should not be forced to wear one type of armor, or clothing. Because no matter what I will never have the cool coat Cassandra has. Or the gorgeous skintight dress with leggings Sera can wear if you preview her in mage clothing. Or even Vivienne's cloth options.

Why do the companions get both? Awesome and beautiful, and practical. While my inq only have the plain and practical part.

You know, it should be about choice: You don't want to be criticized for forcing "sexy" armor onto the female protagonist, I get it. But why remove the choice for us that want to have something our companions have? Why can't I wear a dress and leggings like Sera? Or like something Vivienne can wear? Or plate and coat like Cassandra? It makes no sense to me.

Armour is painfully limited in this game.

I agree that companions have better looking armour.

What's killing me the most though is the fact that someone like Sera, who doesn't seem to care for fashion(look at her hairstyle)actually has much more fashionable gear than female Inquisitor, including the casual outfit. Poor Inq is forced to wear some ugly PJ but Sera gets to have a girly, beautiful casual outift...

I know right. I get annoyed and jealous when I put some scout armor on Sera, on me it looks dull, on her she get a sensual dress, tights and I can even add some cute boots to her outfit.

It's like they had a completely different approach in mind when they made the armor for the inq. As in; let's make it as plain as possible and save the cool and sensual armor and clothing for the companions. Or more likely; they thought of what fits the male inq and then the female inq just has to go with it. Considering there is zero armor and clothing that add any feminine touch. It's like forbidden for the female Inquisitor to even use tights, or a dress.

I hate it when, (even if we still can choose our gender), it's still the male lead that all the armor is centered around. I want to use a dress like Sera, and have plate boots and gauntlets. But the chance we ever see any is zero.
