With the new schematics, would this put Fury of the Veil, and Mindchill Staff back in contention for being Best-In-Slot?

My Fury of the veil has 69 base damage, and Mindchill Staff has 67 base damage.

Of course certain people will need certain stats, but just at quick glance I think they might be back on par with the Dragon Staff.

Someone who likes to do math, please throw some numbers at us.

Edit: I'm looking at Thin Staff Grip for 12% Heal on kill and 6 % Attack /also Dragon Staff Blade for 18% Crit damage bonus or 11% Crit chance. and 6% attack.

For a combined boost of 12% HoK, 12% Attack, and 18 Crit damage bonus/11 Crit chance

Fury of the Veil was already one of the best staves. A lot of people may not have Dragon Staff yet, I don't.
But if anything the new schematics do indeed make it an even better staff! :)

Short answer- nope

Staff of the dragon has base damage around 79-81
and 41%
and 7% chance
and some heal on kill

You can upgrade (from what I've seen) + 17% and some combination from other, either with crit chance or with attack for another ~14% attack max but in that scenario without crit and hok.
Either even in highest setup it's 14% better than older version, fury get +attack around 42% total, mindchill around 48% total. So they with best upgraded "on level" of just attack bonus.

It should be also mentioned that base damage difference is huge. Fury vs Staff of the dragon is 17%, vs mindchill even more.

Yeah after looking over the staffs more closely I have to agree that the dragon staff will still be better for pure raw DPS.

I think the utility of the other two staffs could prove to be quite valuable though.

Using these mods on both my Pyre of Forgotten & Fury atm:

If you have a HoK Ring then there's no point in getting 12% extra HoK, but you find it hard to survive then I'd go with HoK.

Not everyone has a Dragon Staff, besides the Veilstrike proc on Fury and Mindblast on Mindchill are worth keeping in place of some DPS.

*PS: That was 6% ATTK, but for some reason only 5% gets applied QQ.
