The matchmaking is a serious issue. I dont know whether its because the player base has fallen dramtically since I last tried to pug or whether the matchmaking algorithm has been made eve less efficient, but it took me on average 20 minutes to find a threatning game. I finally managed to fight a dragon on perilous but again it took a rediculous amount of time to find a lobby. This was during peak UK times yet all 3 of my games yesterday ended putting me in the lobby with the same guy
You must be on a LOT of ignore lists!

Penguin is still banned?? If they've really improved, why not unban him. It's not as if he's no longer inactive in the DA:I community.
Yeah, he was permabanned after the 'incident'. Which funnily enough was when bioware even started acknowledging we as a community existed. Shame, since he is still the largest contributor by far to the stickied resource library, despite being banned a good 4 months or so ago.
I know he is still active on reddit though, which is the second largest community to this one, and I know that the people over there are always very friendly indeed.
www.reddit.com/r/dragonagecoop is the URL.

Matchmaking is the only one real gripe i have with this game now.
Being forced to play with Australian's all day is the worst....
All I hear is "Crikey, dingo stole my baaby bloody oath fair dinkum cobba!" all day....
It'd be nice to play with some Americans and hear "F$*$ you F$GG$T" for a change.

I've been playing with this odd British guy lately, always talks about his Tea and Crumpets. Playing with foreigners can be quite entertaining.

I want to refute your other points but I understand that this is a feel-good-thread and I don't want to be more of a party pooper than I already am.
These aren't points, friend. I wasn't telling anyone what to think. I was telling everyone what I thought.
Personally, I'm merely seeing that we now start to take care of things, and build an actual freaking community. If your patience has run out, then I'm genuinely sorry for you, and I mean this in a non-condescending way. I wasn't critically offended by anything the game did or didn't do, so this "start" now is good enough for me.
And hell yeah, this is a "feel good thread". If a game makes you feel bad in general, I would really not waste another second of my life with it. But I hope the upcoming changes will turn you around.

It was a cool DLC and all, but as has been pointed out already - far behind on content (even though they said they were going to support DAIMP more then ME3MP) and the loot system in this game is so broken that they themselves have given up on fixing it.

They never said they would support more, just 'beyond'... ![]()

Dragonslayer revived some of my hope for the Multiplayer, but it still has its issues. BioWare is doing good, but has to keep on doing good to even have a chance to keep its community.
That said... it is time to bring PenguinFeftish back. I get why he had to be banned since he continously complained, but he was not the only one, nor was it not justifiable. It might be best to let the greatest source of helpful content spread through-out of community back, because his resources are helpful. I do not see why BioWare wants to be stubborn about it. Yeah, he broke the rules, but yeah, BioWare utterly ignored the community as the player base was leaking heavily, and the game was very much unplayable in a vast majority of matches. Just look at our current weekend challenge. 6 dragons personal goal, but 5000 for the PC community? That is assuming 834 players do their goal, which is shockingly few.
This lack of players is sadly very obvious to me, because in Norway, I have a hard time finding matches that I can connect to. I can find some matches, sure, but connecting to them is worse. If the lobby has people using voice communication? Disconnect, unless they're Scandinavian. They have "ok" connections? Massive lag.
Dragonslayer was a good addition, and seeing a slight upswing of activity has been awesome, but I want that to continue and there's two relevant steps:
1: BioWare continues with good releases like this.
2: We can spread the word of mouth a bit (but then, quite frankly, we should get Penguin back.)

Penguin is a constructive and regular member of the Twitch stream.
But it's BioWare's call to make.

Do some hosting of your own, the infrastructure in Norway should be decent enough.
My lobbies gets filled rather quick (I just start the game rather than wait for people) at least. (Based in Denmark)

...and Mortiel would likely still be here too...
C'e un po di confusione, signorina!
I merely took a step away from the forums because I was becoming a bit too negative, and thought it a bit hypocritical of me. I took a holiday, relaxed, and came back. By no means could the levity of my situation be compared to Penguin's.
To the OP: Cheers for the B.B. King shout out. He was a truly amazing man, and one of the best memories of my life was getting to talk with him.

True, I have never really tried that, but I have intentionally refrained from that ever since Mass Effect 3, because people would always take so long to join my game.

EU late night, at least for me, seems like there are no more than 10 lobbies running, including the Promotion Private Rooms. It does seem that public lobbies are really far and inbetween, as I always get matched with the same 4-5 names. Constant thrown alone in lobby as host, which was unhead of 2 months ago.
It MIGHT just be too late still.
I am unsure at this point if Bioware stealth introduced region-lock, as I really should be matched with the US, which should be "only" in the afternoon. If it did, it cannot be said what I want to say, but it`s just a bad thing to do, especially at this point.
