I actually think the OP has a nice idea going, but I would caution against its execution. Hakkon worked because it's a new area that barely influences the rest of the game. Extended romances would require additions to all kinds of aspects of the vanilla game, and given how their patches turned out so far, do we want to see the result of that attempt?
I don't like the idea that a romance DLC would add more content to existing romances if it requires me to replay the whole romance or even part of it. It doesn't motivate me to play again the romance or even part of it just to see that added scene. I don't think that is a good idea.
I think the romance DLC could work if it would add a date scene with your LI for example. That way there is no need for other people to comment it in any way outside that DLC. Marriage would be more difficult to implement because it would be odd if nobody mentions it outside that DLC unless the marriage could only happen after the ending.

Free maybe but not DLC. I wouldn't pay for more romance content. It's nice and all but it adds very little to the overall story and I thought the romances were done pretty well already (well the two I've done so far IB and Sera).

I agree the romance is great but very short. After its over all I can do is a quick kiss in the garden. We could use a Sims like romance options. Choose to just give them a quick kiss or ask them for a little WooHoo or even have them simply acknowledge we are dating when I click on them to "ask for the current situation" would be nice.

I can't find a related thread, so I'm just gonna ask it here. Please Bioware, add some more romance options for straight male players. Cass looks like a dude, and Josie is not even a party member. And yes adding some extended romance DLC would be nice.. You should have done it like they did in Origins, where you could make out on the road, to Morrigan's displeasure
. But you didn't, so at least add some DLC to spice up these rather stale romance options.

Oh no... no no -- no... Papercut Ninja would not approve sharing a similar sounding name to someone that would call Cassandra's face a dude look-alike.

Captain what ever did you say?
I don't expect hustler magazine type material, but someone at bioware understood the importance of interpersonal dialog and issues between team members as it relates to game play and something clearly went wrong with implementation. At this stage the impact of advanced behaviors and dialog would significantly change the game and a DLC with vast new content would be needed to compensate.
DLC + "vast new content" = character controller terror. Englighten me as to how this is possible, without there crashing the game more. Well, I wish, but, hey, it seems the devs have reached the "that's all she wrote" stage already. Heard it on the grapevine that several from the team have gone up to add to the Montreal team....

Couldn't find a related thread? Seriously? There are about a dozen out there. One for every Otaku who hasn't gotten his wet dream implemented in DA:I and feels the pressing need to inform us about it.

Please, make Lace Harding a romance option. It's necesary a new woman for the romance options, there are only 3 women and 5 men. ME had more men than women. The two cases are a mistake, it would be the same.
And Harding are the best option for romance.

It's not "necessary." Romances are bonus content, not mandatory. What's necessary is that they continue bug fixes. What's necessary is that they fulfill their word and continue working on the story DLC that they mentioned on twitter recently. By the way, despite your opinion, there are plenty of straight men that don't think that Josie or Cassandra are mistakes.
For ME, your point is....?
Look, the NPC romances got as much content and dialogue as the companion ones. You're free to look that up. Besides, I'd rather wait until the next game. I'm one of the folks that is hoping that Harding becomes a full-fledged companion in the next game, as well as a bisexual LI. That would serve the character a lot better than a DLC. Plus, we've never had a dwarven lady companion outside of an expansion, and we've never had any dwarven LI in history of BioWare games that have the race. Finally, she'd be a decent tie-in between games, since I'm pretty sure that Varric is going home after DA:I and we'll have the dwarf slot open.
Not to mention that, while BioWare has done story DLC expanding on romance content in the past (LotB in ME2, Citadel in ME3, Witch Hunt for male Wardens,) they have said that they have no interest in making romances the focus of a DLC. Contrary to what sites like tumblr, twitter, IGN and the BSN might suggest, it's the fans that push the romance content to the forefront, not BioWare.
They are going to make the story the primary focus for DLCs. As it should be. They are going to work on patches, as it should be. They don't owe anyone anything else, especially a romance. They didn't make a mistake with Josie or Cassandra. They aren't to your taste, which is fine.
Besides, you're getting the exact same number of romances as you always have in DA games. Two. Just like Leliana and Morrigan. Just like 'Bela and Merrill.
Don't like your current options? Go hang out in the "Something that bothers me" romance thread, and offer some suggestions for DA4 and beyond The devs will probably ignore any requests to add a romance for DA:I, or to make Harding a romance via DLC, so you're probably better off making suggestions for the straight male player for the next game.

Additional content for the existing romances would be nice, but don't go into it with goal of more romance content for more romance content's sake

I like the idea of adding some more companion and/or romantic scenes missions or whatever, I wouldn't want it to be the main focus.
Mass Effect's Citadel was great because it had a really silly mission (you fight your own clone who is trying to steal your identity) then great interactions with characters (little dates and a big party). It's one of my favourite things in the series but I'm not sure if you could really make something like that work for Dragon Age because, as mentioned before, it's a goodbye.

Absolutely more romance is needed in DLC. I felt quite bereft at not being able to chat to my chosen partner once main quest ended! And it felt like there was so much more left unsaid and undone in their story. It wasn't complete.
Besides romance is something you can take or leave in DA:I. No one is forcing you to pursue those conversations. And there's only so many shard and fetch quests that can be rehashed.

I have to agree with that addition to add more realism to things, Like why do you have all those tents that just sitting there at each camp & no1 ever uses them, Or maybe just once your romanced partner could waiting for you in your room once in a while instead of having to go to them all the time I've been wondering why they make you jump through all those hoops just t get like 2 or 3 scenes of them being a couple. Iron bull is the only 1 I've seen that shows up in your chambers/room & that only happens the 1st time.

I would wholeheartedly support more romantic content, like the "improved romance" mods for Origins. I was honestly disappointed with how the romance line with Iron Bull resolved -- not only was there no extra cut scene on the return from Arbor Wilds, but leaving off after everything you'd just gone through just calling him an ass for love biting your neck was very anticlimactic.
I think of some of DahliaLynn's mods for Origins for instance (Alistair's Nightmare, Royal Wedding, Sleep Until Dawn, Visual Kiss) and would love to see that kind of atmospheric detail added for Inquisition. I would also like to see a return of the freedom we had in Origins to talk and interact with our party out in the world when we felt like it. Please please please?

Please be a troll.
I'm already losing faith in the gaming community, please don't make me lose it even more.
Anyway, on topic:
I'm all for a Citadel-style DLC with more romance content. I'm also all for an extended romance DLC, but I'm a huge fan of romances and they're the major reason for my bazillion mulitple playthroughs, so I understand that it's not a common opinion and may not be possible.
