One is 2000 gold, while the other is 5000. No descriptions on them. Looks like they're gone though.

They mentioned in the twitch stream there will be chests that provide you with dragon's calls for the weekend challenge if you are short on materials.

If that's so I'm going to buy so many dragon calls that I'll never have to craft another one.

On PS4:

Chest for 2000 contains one dragon call, 3 random potions and 3 random items

Chest for 5000 contains 3 dragon calls, 3 random potions and 4 random items.

Never saw those on peasant consoles.

Mind you our challenges are done in two minutes anyway.

So the  5K chests.... Is it better to buy 1 5k one and get showered in all the unique purples I need to finish my collection or 4 standard chests...

Anyone opened a Dragon Whisperer Chest yet? Do they have higher item levels?

I don't really need the calls, I probably could make over 100 atm so....

well except for containing dragon calls i don't think they have a higher rate for purples than a regular chest. i bought 5 of them earlier today and didn't get any purples at all. considering i see a purple every 3 or 4 regular chest i didn't like them odds. of course i could be wrong and maybe have had bad luck.

I actually got my hopes up that these would be chests that actually gave you something worthwhile.. The Spectre packs of DAIMP. No such luck..

Why would I pay 2k gold to get a hammer call to do a dragon, which will give me nothing?

Don't buy those new chests! I just bought that 5k chest and got 2 blank crap weapon, one lv7, one lv11, and then 2 lesser fire runes. Worst chest ever.

If you're buying them for items, you're doing it wrong. You should buy them for dragon calls. In my case they are a huge help, cause i don't have enough materials to craft a bunch of dragon horns. And spending 5K on 3 horns isn't nearly as bad as spending 75 crafting materials to get 3 horns.

Good platnium price also, so bought the 20$ package since I'm not playing enough to be able to grind 20K gold this weekend.

Wow.. Great work BioWare. You managed to sneak real money gambling into the game.

Pay 400 platinum, get 3 tokens to gamble with maybe possibly getting something with a very low chance (assuming you manage to beat the high difficulty).

Sheesh. I didn't think about it this way before, but now that I see the pattern - I am actually really disgusted by BioWare.

I'm not sure what you are on about?

It's been that way since the begining, even in ME3MP. It's why they can offer the DLCs for free.

Plus, you can just grind the gold if you have the time. I don't.

Who cares about crafting those.

There will always be a random high-stats-no-need-materials-for-other-things able to use them.

I don't remotely mind spending money on games like these, so don't get me wrong. With Mass Effect 3, I would drop 20 bucks with each DLC just to show my support.

My problem here is that you are buying a token, that will let you play against the dragon and should you make it (which for some is easy, some not) then you might have a chance of getting something for it.

In ME3, whenever you bought something - you were guranteed progression. Either you ranked up a weapon, or you got a new character (or skin) or if you had maxed everything you would get consumable ammo that was very helpful to the game and if you were lucky you could land an ultra-rare (which wasn't that rare of a thing to happen).

Here, you open a chest and in my last 50 chest openings, they have all been scrapped into materials because I have not got a single thing above level 20. I then use these materials to craft three dragon calls, do the dragon thee times and got nothing. I've done the dragon 11 times now and I have got nothing. I am super happy (not really) for all of you lucky dungholes who are getting drops 7 out of 10 times, but that's you and a few select others. The rest of us are getting nothing. So don't compare DAIMP loot system to ME3MP loot system because it is not remotely as good.

Anything I sank into ME3MP gave me progression, wether it was time or money. The time and money I have sank into DAIMP has given me no progression this last month+. They are by no means the same.

DAIMP has Promotions, so your time spent equals progression.

I understand your butthurt'iness, but really you should take a chill pill and quit the game if you are not having fun. You are certainly doing no one any favours by ranting in every other topic on an aspect of the game which is already being considered for tweaking. (Read; Tweaking, not complete overhaul).

Plus, with the new schematics, you do not even need high end items to get Heal on Kill for instance. Simply craft something with all those mats you claim to be getting.

I know I did, and it's a complete gamechanger for me to have HoK on my Templar, not to mention the OPness that is the Reaver with HoK.

I am having fun in the game, but the "progression" part after playing a few runs detracts from the fun. And I have plenty of materials (I got more then a hundred of a few of them, just to give you an idea of how many materials I have, and that is with every character and variants crafted) that I will be crafting tier 3 upgrades with, but I would rather have something better then a level 18 rare weapon to put them into, yeah?

My "butthurtness'" as you call it comes from the fact that I enjoy the game and want it to flourish. Being a fan boy and saying everything they want to hear is not going to improve the game (you might want to take note of how many people have stopped playing the MP since the beginning) or it's longevity.

As for the heal on kill materials - I have 60-70 of the tier 3 materials that doesn't give heal on kill, and only 10 of the tier 3 that does give heal on kill. Yet again, RNG messing up my day again. I could have a viable HoK item if I could swap 4 tier 3 material for another tier 3 material, but I can't - so I am stuck with what RNG gives me, which has consistently been the wrong stuff. It happens, it's what RNG is all about. You know that RNG works if someone gets everything and someone else gets nothing. That is the concept of RNG.

I don't need a chill pill- I play the game when I feel like playing it. My entire group have fun for awhile, but after a solid gaming session with no progression at all, you kinda loose the "wow factor" and we take a break. We usually come back from our breaks, but a lot of the player base hasn't. No player base, no matchmaking. No matchmaking, no future for the game. I am doing everyone a favour, by pointing out the flaws of the games - and I am glad to hear they will be tweaking to at least repair the flaw a little - something they are doing because they are being told their current system is bad.

As for promotions - I am not a fan of it. I like leveling to 20 and staying there and at the beginning we did not promote at all. However, playing the game since release, I have no realized the only way to actually get any guranteed progression, is by promoting so we have started doing that despite it being a game concept we as a player group don't like.
