Bioware flirted with the idea in ME and then got yelled at by the bad men so they tamed it down. Then rockstar took the helm and started with boobs and are all the way up penis in GTAV and Bioware has pulled in behind. God of War games are big on it and although I've never played one I know the Witcher games are as well.
First game boobs I ever saw were in a game called Carrier at my buddies house on a Dreamcast. I was shocked back then.
They for some reason don't accept Krem being trans and in army. Though the point was makin Krem being trans party of dialogue more naturally so it doesn't matter.
Bioware writing at it's best. Contradicting itself. There dos it say they not accept Krem in army?

Actually it was always my understanding this was the case, but apparently if interpreted correctly a post here on the forums let people know that it was acceptable. if its from the writer its from the writer so you pretty much have to take it as fact (assuming that was the way it was meant) I would prefer this information be in the game itself as that is where most of my attention was.
It was my understanding that women are allowed in the army, just not in the same divisions as men.
Lies! They love me. I am good to them these days. I would even go so far as to call myself a connoisseur. ![]()

Aye this was the case. Women could be under the Ariqun (not classified as soldiers), but not the Arishok. Until this was changed on the forum.
If we have moved past that subject and we are talking about Tevinter then I have no clue.
While it's possible that Bioware contradicted itself, we should remember the difference between a magister/mage and a commoner in Tevinter. The fact that they could accept a transgender magister doesn't mean they'd accept a transgender from the lower class.
Yes they do. Since Aveline not DA2 Aveline other. win some tournament. Everyone are accepted. DA:I have more warrior women than man.

Everyone is good for blood sacrifice no discrimination.
Feedback: You asked good questions, and I hugely appreciated that you let them talk for long periods of time without interrupting (I feel like many video game interviewers love interrupting them just when they're about to say something we might not have heard before, and it was refreshing to avoid that). I'm sad I missed your tweet asking for questions people would like to hear answered, and I'm really looking forward to the rest of these!So.....

...that was Orlais. Every country has different values. In Antiva women Are treated differently, for examples.Yes they do. Since Aveline not DA2 Aveline other. win some tournament. Everyone are accepted. DA:I have more warrior women than man.

According to the Wikipedia; "After his father's sacrifice, Krem joined the army, but since women's role in the Tevinter military are heavily restricted, Krem concealed his transgender status by bribing the healer who performed the military physicals"
Not to mention I think Maevaris Tilani blew up the whole "distilling-the-perfect-mage"-thing with a fireball when she married Varric's dwarven cousin, Thorold. She may even oppose the sentiment and campaign for a legacy not decided through blood and children but through her own deeds and their effect upon Tevinter. It is also possible that she intends to make a pupil of hers her legacy by making the "perfect mage" through teaching and not through breeding.
Maevaris seems the person who considers controversy something to be worn fashionable by people who know how to carry the look.
I think it says they never actually got married, but that doesn't really change your point. Question: Can a half-dwarf be a mage?

According to WoT, Maevaris has indeed faced much challenge, scandal, and controversy for being transgender, especially when she married Varric's cousin. Not to mention I think Maevaris Tilani blew up the whole "distilling-the-perfect-mage"-thing with a fireball when she married Varric's dwarven cousin, Thorold. Yeah, it's not like Mae being an out and proud trans woman (in a committed relationship with a dwarf, no less) has been easy for her. But unlike soporati Krem, she actually has the power, influence, and straight-up moxie to push past those barriers.
She probably uses Dispel to do that.
Should I stop with the lame jokes?

Why would they worry about a half-dwarf?
Why would they worry about a half-dwarf?
I wasn't talking about Maevaris and Thorold specifically if that's what you're asking. I was just asking if that's possible in the lore.
Tell me, what does it say when one type of character always gets the big kiss, the fireworks, the ballroom dance, the gazing into each other's eyes at sunset, the embrace in the rain...and another type always stands off to the side? Getting a line here and there, being allowed to 'exist' in the story, but always, always second class? The story is of course never rude enough to say so out loud, but it's always there.
Does that say they're of equal worth?
