Not being interested in any person romantically and sexually besides your partner.
Not going through 28 pages of posts but did they say why they made Sera so mind-numbingly annoying ?

If I had to guess, it's probably for the same reason they made Wynne so annoying.

Someone on this forum once told me that subjectivity speaks for itself. As in, I need not point it out.
Well, I just wish it would speak for itself more often. Maybe then, more people would remember it.
I suppose it may be subjective to get annoyed at an infantile prankster who joins a demon-hunting cause and then wets her panties every time supernatural things happen.
Hmm... that seems bizarrely narrow. If you really weren't interested in anyone else whatsoever then marriage would be just a formality, wouldn't it?
Honestly, I thought it was a given to only be interested in your partner. According to people on here though, I got romance all wrong.
Certainly not in those terms, since they don't think of her as being mind-numbingly annoying in the first place.
I'm pretty sure Bioware knew how polarizing she's be. At least, I hope so!
Didn't Laidlaw or Gaider or somebody freely admit she wouldn't be for everybody?

If I recall correctly her writer knew she would be.

Honestly, I'm annoyed the decided to make a character they knew a lot of people wouldn't like a romance.

Why not?
In Origins Morrigan would considered one by some, in DA2 it was Anders. A character who's either gonna be loved or hated shouldn't be excluded from being a romance

That depends how hated. I've seen a lot more people complain about Sera than Morrigan. I'm not saying they should never have characters with some unlikable aspects, but not too many in a romance. In this case I was simply out of luck for the third game in a row, so it was annoying.

Well...He did also mention Anders. ![]()
Also, I wonder if that might be a time healing wounds sort of thing. I was just a forum lurker at the time, without an account, but I remember that there was a lot more Morrigan hate a few years ago than there is now.

Some people dislike Vivienne because she's not that different from Morrigan

Maybe you're right. Well, Anders... yeah. That one's a bit more complicated because he was generally liked before the chantry explosion. I suppose you could argue that's worse, since it's like a betrayal, but I just feel sorry for him because he's trapped with Vengeance, and despite that, I like that romance a lot more than Sera's.
I have a feeling Vivienne also gets a lot of hate for her politics.

She gets hate for her politics and her personality

Yeah, you're getting it.

Did someone mention Anders?

Did we get it?

Sera's romance wasn't for me either, and neither really was Blackwall's or Josephine's. Sera's romance arc is less serious than I personally like. I feel more sorry for Blackwall than anything else, and Josephine is a sweetheart. She's pleasant, and nice, and sweet, and full of so many wonderful qualities that make me feel a sort of sisterly attachment to her character in game and not a lot else.
I'm playing through them, but not immersing myself and "feeling it" the way I do with most of the others.
More options in this game, and it meant that there were more that just weren't a big deal for me. But I also had Cullen, Solas, Dorian, and Cassandra.
I'm a really happy camper, over all.
Sorry, rabbit trailing. My point is, I hear you. Sera is polarizing, it took me a while to warm up to her (the cookie scene was what did it for me). I just think that the DA team has always been willing to take big risks when it comes to romanceable characters, and I want that to continue.
I think the biggest risk was IB's romance lol ![]()

Using Storm Troopers? Probably not.
Not Storm Troopers, Clone Troopers.
Clone Troopers actually hit the magic users they aim for.
